PLUNGING WITH A TREAT!!!

Happy Halloween all!!!! It's Friday! And time for another
The Paper Plunge!!!!
This week's challenge was to create "anything but a card"!!!  A little more challenging but fun!

So I created a cute little treat holder! It's kind of hard to tell, but it's perfect for m&m's!!!

It's a cute little 5-sided tube with a cover created using the retired Fancy Flower Punch.  I wish they wouldn't retire the punches!!! Although it is still available on our amazing Clearance Rack!!!!

It's perfect for cardstock or DSP. I didn't have any current Halloween DSP left, so I used my Bordering Bloom stamp set to create the design! It's just the right size!
I added a few little images from the Holiday Home stamp set from the
Holiday Catalog. Little cuties!!
The ghost & pumpkin are of course from the very popular Fall Fest stamp set, also in the Holiday Catalog!

It's a cute little way to get a Halloween (or other!) treat! Want to know how to make it?? Let me know! I'd be happy to do a little Private Class for you & your friends!!!! Contact me now!!!

So be sure to hop over to The Paper Plunge and check out what the other members of the Design Team came up with! I know you'll get some great ideas! Then you can even add your OWN
"anything but a card"!!!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE TALL SKINNY LINES!!!

It's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop time!! Yeah!  This week for inspiration, I decided to visit my friends over at Mojo Monday. Their challenge this week is Tall & Skinny! I think it worked perfectly for this card!!!

Welcome to the hoppers from Helen's a-mazing blog!!! I've missed her!!

So here's my card:

Here is the color inspiration:

And our Stampin' Up! lovely colors:

Pear Pizzazz
Mossy Meadow
Basic Black
Perfect Plum
Crumb Cake

And the Mojo Monday sketch:

Phew! That's a lot!!! And it's a fairly simple card this week. But I really like it!  The stamp set is A Round Array & it's matching Scallop Edge Circle Punch. I kinda went with a rustic-y look.
Love that Woodgrain Embossing Folder!!

It's also a fun shape! It's the normal height (5 1/2"), but it's only 3 1/2" wide! About an inch shorter than what we would call normal! So a regular envelope will still work.  It's a little small to get too busy. But I like it!!

So now go hop over to Miss Lizzy's great blog!!! I know you'll love whatcha see!!! Then keep going!!!  There are lots of super pretty designs to see!

Then visit Mojo Monday for their ideas & maybe add your own!!! I love to combine all my blogs!!! It's fun to see how many I can get together! That's a challenge on its own!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

PLUNGING INTO HALLOWEEN!!!!

So Halloween is only 1 week away, and we are getting ready for Halloween over at The Paper Plunge!!! Our posts this week are Halloween or Dark (and stormy-my addition!!! lol)

We have an awesome blog going over at The Paper Plunge!! I hope you'll join us each week! We have some great ideas to check out, and you can even add your own creation if you'd like! No need tho! Just join us!!!

So here's my Halloween card:

I am having so much fun with my Holiday Home stamp set and its matching Homemade Holiday Framelits!!! I sure hope Stampin' Up! decides to include this in next year's Annual Catalog! Right now though you can order it from the Holiday Catalog!!!  It's so much fun for so many occasions!!!

Here I went a little Halloween spooky!!! I "messed with" the house to make it look  haunted!!! I love that little ghost & spider!!! So cute!!!

The moon was done with some brayer work. You probably figured that out already! It's perfect for skies & landscapes!!! A little washi tape adds just that extra pop!!!

The sentiment is also from Holiday Home! But it's straight you say! How did you do that you ask! I just "curved" it when I put it on the block! I then was able to cut it with  my Bitty Banners Framelits! Cool, huh?!

So I hope this puts you in the Halloween mood!!! Don't forget to go now to visit The Paper Plunge!!! You are guaranteed to LOVE what you see!!!!

My card was also entered over at Can You Case It!!! Go check out the fun stuff over there!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

So here's this week's card:

Here is the inspiration picture & colors:

And here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

Very Vanilla
Crisp Cantaloupe
Basic Black
Mossy Meadow
Marina Mist

It's a very simple card this week! I was in a CAS mood this week!  It's been such a hectic few weeks that simple & quiet is what I need right now! I figured this was calming.

The stamp sets are Gorgeous Grunge, Label Something and
Daydream Medallion.  The shapes were cut with the
Floral Frames Framelits. They work perfectly with the Daydream Medallion stamp set!!!

I added a couple of embellies this week.  I used a Gold Basic Metal Button, some In-Color Sequins & a piece of the Crisp Cantalope Baker's Twine.  Sweet, simple additions!!!

Hope you liked! Now head over to Sandy's blog & enjoy her design! Tell her I said hi!

Happy Stampin'!!!

TAKING THE "PLUNGE" WITH TAGS!!!!

Hello all!!! Welcome to another The Paper Plunge day!!! I love Fridays!!

This week's challenge was to use a tag! I kinda went outside the box!!! Here's my tag:

I was going to do it on a card, but I'm going to a housewarming next week. I'm bringing my friend a nice bottle of red-her favorite!!! I figured rather than a card, why not decorate the bottle! So I made a rather large tag to hang on the bottle!!!

Pretty much all the products on this tag are from our amazing
Holiday Catalog!!! The stamp set is Holiday Home, but not used for holidays! I love that this makes a nice housewarming sentiment.  Add the
Homemade Holiday Framelits to go with it, & you've got a winning combo!!!

The ribbon is the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon. It's so pretty!! Wish it came in more colors! Easy to work with too!!!

The base cardstock is from the Under the Tree Specialty DSP Pack. It's a very thick cardstock so perfect for this type project. I got it to use with the
Box Punchboard! Works amazing!!!

The houses were colored in with my Blendabilities. Not a lot of blending, but I like the way they cover an area better than the markers. There are no lines!!! A little Dazzling Details looks like frost on the windows!!!

So be sure to visit our page this week. I'm sure you can whip up a cute little tag to add to the challenge!!! We'd love to see your design!!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES AND SKETCHING

Hello all!!! Welcome to Coloring Down the Lines!!! This week I am using a sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday. I needed some inspiration!!!

Welcome to all from Helen's blog!!! I know she has amazed you! So now go be wowed by Sandy's blog!!! Always something special there!!! Then keep going!!!

I love this week's colors!!

Here's my card this week:

Here's the inspiration:

Here are the colors in the picture:

Here are the MDS colors:

Here is the SFF sketch:

I love the colors this week! I thought they fit with my Amazing Birthday stamp set! Good celebration colors!! Plus, I got to use my
Trim the Tree DSP Paper Stack from the Holiday Catalog for the first time!!!

I kind of played with the sketch though.  I didn't make it a full card. Here it is when it's opened. I thought it added a bit of excitement to it! Kinda different!!

And did you know you can "color" our beautiful Silver (or any color!)
Glimmer Paper? It's best with our amazing Blendabilities, but here I used my
Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Marker! It just adds that extra bling!!!

So now go follow the rest of the blogs on this blog hop!!! There are some very talented ladies here! You won't want to miss their designs!!!

And don't forget to visit over at Sketch Frenzy Friday! Maybe add your design!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

TAKING THE PLUNGE WITH WATERCOLORING!

This week's challenge over at The Paper Plunge is an appropriate one-watercolor! The Design Team has created some great ideas for you! Can't wait to see what YOU will add!!!

First, I must apologize for the quality of the pics this week!!! I photographed at night & they looked much better in the dark!!! Will be better next week!!! lol

My design this week is:

I love the "softness" of watercolor. I also love the versatility. It's basically anything that involves water-in whatever way!

This card I used the Stampin' Spritzer, the Acrylic Blocks, &
Stampin' Write Markers for the watercolor effect. Wanna know how? Contact me! I'd love to do  a class for you & your friends!!!

Here's a close-up of the stars:

I love the Be the Star stamp set!!!! It's so versatile!!! Any occasion. Any color. Any design!!!! And you throw in the matching Star Framelits to cut the stars out & you got a winning combo!
The little sentiment in the corner is from A Dozen Thoughts.

Now that Star Border Punch makes quick a statement!!!  Not only do you get a great border, but you also have all the little star confetti to play with! And clean up!! lol It even leaves a little window to the inside! Be sure to add a little visual treat there!!!

So hope you like! I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to the
Swim Team Members (winners!) of last week's challenge!!!! Some beautiful submissions!!! Keep 'em coming, and be sure to visit the beautiful blogs of both the Design Team & the Swim Team!!! We LOVE visitors!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

CAN YOU CASE IT!

So as you know I love to follow my favorite challenge blogs. One of the ones you've seen here is Can You Case It? This week's challenge over there is a sketch challenge. I saw this one & immediately this card popped into my mind!

Here's the sketch they challenged us with:
CYCI39
Now I didn't plan on it being a masculine card, but it sure works for that!  I thought it looked like you were looking out a window! That just popped into my warped little mind! lol

It's a very simple card. I used the "forever" stamp set Lovely as a Tree! The sentiment is from Life's Adventures from the Hostess set from the
Annual Catalog

The only real colors are Mossy Meadow & Baked Brown Sugar. I did sponge a bit with Soft Sky to "ground the tree. It seemed kinda "out there" without the color.  The Embossing Folder is Tiny Triangles. Cute little thing!

So hope you enjoyed! Be sure to check out the CYCI blog & see what other great designers have come up with!  Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES WEDNESDAY MEETS MOJO MONDAY!!!

Hello Wednesday! Hello Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hoppers!! We have some fun colors this week. We got the "blues"!!! lol  And I'm posting this with a forecast that has potential tornadoes coming right when this post goes live! Here's hoping the weather people are once again wrong!!! Hope all of you did ok with this wild front moving across the country! It was like summer here today!!! I'll miss it for sure!!!!

Hello if you are here from Carol's lovely blog this week! Helen is on vacation! Be sure to continue onto Lizzy's cool blog!!!!!

Anyway, back to the hop! lol

My card this week:

The inspiration:

The Stampin' Up! colors as seen in MDS:

So this week's card is a non-trad wedding card! I had all ideas for these color, but I needed a wedding card for this week, so that's where I went! Not the norm in cards, but then again this couple is unique too! ;)

Was having troubles coming up with a design, so I went to one of my favorite design challenge sites, Mojo Monday!  Each week they give a different design. Here's this week's:

I used my good ole' Pleasant Poppies stamp! It was kind of a non-trad flower for this non-trad card!!! The colors are different, but I think they work. I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color them in.

The design in the background looks like DSP, but it's simply
Flowering Flourishes stamp set. Makes a nice background here!

The sentiment is Something to Say. I like how it has the inside/outside sentiments!

Embossed the Elegant Eggplant with the Fancy Fan folder, and added some bling (Dazzling Details) because no wedding card would be complete without bling!!!

So hope you enjoyed! Be sure to hop around our little blog hop, and pop over to Mojo Monday & see what others have done with the design!

Congratulations Anna & Paul!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

PLUNGING-ROUND AND ROUND SHE GOES!!!!!

So I am lucky enough to be a part of an AMAZING design team over at
This is a challenge site where you all can participate!!! Just simply create a project that goes with the challenge & upload your picture!!! Last week was our first week, and what an FANTASTIC response we had!!!!

We have designers from all over the US & Canada-and these girls are GOOD!!! Great ideas & inspiration! Please be sure to join us & check it out!!!  I'm so excited to post for the first time as a designer! I missed last week as I was still in Germany!! But I'm back & ready to go!!!!!

So this week's challenge is using circles!!! We see them everywhere! We use them all the time! Here's what I came up with:

Ok, so I'm still in Germany Oktoberfest mode!!! lol  When I thought circles I thought bubbles, and after drinking the 1 liter mugs of Oktoberfest beer this is what kept coming to mind! It's just a fun, simple little treat for someone!

There's not a lot of stamping on this card! Just fun!  The Gold Glitter Paper works great for the mug! I just cut a rectangle & rounded the bottom with an Oval Framelit!.  The handle is 2 Circle Framelits! Easy peasy!!!

Kinda tough to tell in the pic, but I scored the Glitter Paper to look like the "spines" in a beer mug. It adds a little depth to the card!

The bubbles are all Circle Punches with our amazing Vellum cardstock!
Add a little Dazzling Details for that extra "bling" & it's some fun suds!!!!
The sentiment is simply A Round Array!  Owning up to some retired ribbon! It was the only Real Red I had hanging around! lol

So hope you enjoyed this little touch of Oktoberfest!  Be sure to stop over at The Paper Plunge & check it out! Maybe even upload your photo!!! Come on! Get circlin'!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP TRIPLE TIME!

It's time for October's Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!!! This month our focus is "Triple-Time" stamping! Some call it "Triple-Step".  Either way, it's the same thing and so much fun!!!

Here is my card!!!

I decided to go with a Halloween theme! I know it's a bit early, but I've been eager to play with all my Halloween goodies from the Holiday Catalog! The temperature has started to chill, & the leaves are falling so I figured what the heck!

This is a very fun, easy technique that adds a big wow! I'd love to show you how to do it! Just ask!

I just love these 2 little guys! The ghost is such a happy ghost! I'm not into scary stuff!  He's simply embossed with white Embossing Powder on black cardstock! I added some Crystal Effects to the pumpkin's eyes & leaves to give it some oomph. He's happy too!

The other materials I used on this card are:
Holiday Invitation stamp set
Fall Fest stamp set
Fun Fall and Word Bubble Framelits
Two-Tone Trim Bakers Twine
White Embossing Powder

The holiday items are all available in the Holiday Catalog! Just let me know if you need one of your own!!!!

Now hop on over to Jen's blog & see what she made for you this month!!!! Just click on the box below! Then keep going!!! There are many more beautiful blogs on this hop to check out! Be sure to leave a comment! We love to hear from you!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

IT'S COLORING DOWN THE LINES TIME!!!

So I'm home from Germany & trying to get back on track! It was the most amazing trip ever!!! So much fun!!!! Unfortunately I brought back a souvenir I really didn't want-my son's cold!!!! But I'll live! lol
It's Coloring Down the Lines time so I got to stamp again, & I really missed it!! So here we go!

I'm sandwiched this week between Carol's amazing blog & Liz's awesome blog!!! So if you're visiting from Carol's, helloooo!!! Please keep going to Liz's and beyond for some great fun!!!

Here's my card this week:

Here's the inspiration:

And here are the Stampin Up! Colors in MDS:
So I dug through my stamp sets & decided to use one I haven't used in awhile-Gifts of Kindness! It's one that I've really loved from the beginning. Problem is I loved it so much I used it over & over & over....!!!! But I'm so happy to be visiting my old friend again!! lol

I threw in a few of the super cool In-Color Sequins! They are so little yet add so much!!!

I went for the watercolor affect by coloring the stamp with my
Stampin' Write markers & spritzing with the Stampin' Spritzer! Just one pump will do!

The 2 embossing folders used are Tiny Triangles & One Point (from the Holiday Catalog). I kinda liked the way they went with the banner. I added the sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts cut with the Small Oval Punch for a variety in shapes. I thought it was a cool contrast!

So hope you enjoyed this week! Now go skip over to Liz's & see what's waiting for you over there!!

Happy Stampin'!!!
