MOJO MONDAY 257

Hello all! It's been awhile since I've posted a Mojo Monday sketch! I've been busy with swaps & regionals & everything!  But I think it was worth the wait as this is my favorite so far!!!

What do you think??

Here's the sketch:

Now here's my take on it!

I LOVE how this card came out!!!

I never was attracted to this stamp set-Postage Due (#126397 clear, $16.95)-until I went to convention in Salt Lake City & saw all the amazing creations with it! Now it's one of my favorites!!! I thought it worked well with this sketch, albeit a bit unique to the sketch!

The card base is Cajun Craze run through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Folder!
I used Island Indigo and Early Espresso as the complimentary colors.  How did I choose the colors you ask? I simply took my cue from the beautiful Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini! All the DSP is designed to be used with our solid cardstocks!

The big image is stamped on Natural Ivory cardstock with Island Indigo ink then distressed with a bit of Early Espresso & a Stampin' Sponge

The ribbon is my 1 retired embellishment on here! It's from last year's holiday catalog. Too bad. It's nice ribbon! But it was the only Early Espresso I had on hand!

The 3 stamp images were stamped using Island Indigo, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso inks then cut out using the 1"Square punch and the Postage Stamp punch.  Add a little distressing & this is it!

I know it's a bit unconventional to the sketch, but I like the way it turned out anyway!Need more details? Just ask!

There'll be a new Mojo Monday sketch tomorrow!

Happy Stampin'!
