NEW AT SU-CATALOG SKETCH INSPIRATION

Hello friends! This month on the New at SU Blog Hop we are using the sketches on page 22 of the new Annual Catalog as inspiration for our creations!!! This group of international independent demonstrators is so creative, but sometimes it's nice to let someone else do the "thinking" for us! If you haven't noticed these sketches then I suggest you take a look!!! There are some amazing ideas there!

Here's my card:

Here is the inspiration sketch:

Now using a sketch is really fun! It gives you a "quick start"! You can see here I simply turned the card to  landscape instead of portrait. You can "copy" the sketch exactly or use it as inspiration! I did copy it pretty closely here-just turned it!

So I had fun  using all my new In-Colors on this! I just LOVE working with the Decorative Layering Masks! I think they make such a beautiful image & they are so easy! This Layers of Beauty combo of mask & stamp set makes such a pretty card!!!!

The outline of the image is stamped using Basic Gray to help soften the image! The Blending Brushes are the perfect tool to use here! And the mask is so easy to clean when you are finished!  The beautiful Unbounded Beauty 12x12 DSP is the perfect paper to coordinate!!! So many options in that pack to work with here! I kept it subtle!

The only other materials used on the card are the so fun                               Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (Silver) pack-full dislosure-I can't stop using these!!  lol And the Baker's Twine Essential Pack!

Now please go visit the other blogs listed below to see how they interpreted these awesome sketches!!! I'm sure you'll get some super creative ideas!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

ICS BLOG HOP-ITS A GUY THING!

Happy June! As we are heading into the warmer days, we are also heading towards Father's Day! So this month this amazing group of independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators are bringing you "guy" ideas!  This is always a tough one for me! lol But let's see how we do!

Here's my card:

So for the guys I always say "less is more".   As a cardmaker, I love to add all the fun frilly stuffs to my creations! Well for the guys, that's a no-no! lol My theory is you can do it with either color or content (ie., stamp set, pictures, etc.)-just keep it simple!

This card has so little stamping on it! In fact, I had to dig through my stash to find sets with just a "happy" & "day" that were not to fancy! lol Found them on Something Fancy (there's irony there! lol) and Cheerful Daisies!

The DSP is the real star of the show here. It's the brand new                        Country Woods 12x12 DSP! I do love the "natural" look, and this DSP is all that!

The letters were formed with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Just popped up the panel & it give the "shadow" letters!

Embellishments are the '23-'25 In-Color Jute Trim Pack & the                   Metallic Enamel Effects Basics-silver! No fancy bling! Altho I do use the     Enamel Effects on many many cards!!!!

So I hope this gave you a good masculine idea! I know I'll be hopping through this hop for inspiration!  I always need ideas, and right now there's nothing in my stash to pull from in a birthday "emergency"! lol

Now hop over to Hawaii to Cheryl's blog to see what she has to share! I know you'll love it! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! Then keep going for some great "guy-spiration"!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU-COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS & SENDING SMILES

This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are trying something different-we are CASEing each other!!! Yup! This group of International independent demonstrators is featuring our own wonderful creations!

If you are not aware, CASE means Copy And Share Everything!! We find a creation by one of our amazingly talented hop-mates and CASE it! I was given the wonderful Rachael Coon over at The Joy of Stampin' with Rachael to CASE!!!

So here's her creation I decided to copy:

If you click on either picture it'll take you directly to her post! Or just simply find her amazing blog from the links down below!!!

Here's what I came up with:

You cans sign your name on the bottom/Parakeet Party!

I didn't have a gift card handy so I just used a piece of white paper to illustrate!

Now it's always nice to have a "plan" when creating! I loved this gift card holder that she came up with!!! Now when CASEing you can copy design, colors, layout, etc.-just about anything in the card you like! I liked the design here but I don't have the products she used! So I pulled out some of my favorite retiring products to feature for one last time! So sad!

The retiring stamp sets are Sending Smiles, Perennial Postage &        Countryside Corners. I'm trying to use up my retiring In-Colors too! Gonna miss this Parakeet Party so much!!! The dies used are Sending, Scalloped Corners and Countryside Corners (the only on-retiring product on the card!!!) Throw in some Basic Pearls colored with the matching Stampin' Blends & ya got a nice embellishment!!!!

So hope you enjoyed this CASE! I'm lovin' Rachael's blog & hope you do to! Be sure to visit it!!!! As well as the other blogs below!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-FAREWELL TO 2022-2024 IN COLORS

Well it's that dreaded time of year-saying goodbye to our 2022-2024 In-Colors! And yes, we will welcome some really pretty new ones, but it's always sad to see some go. This month on our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are featuring some beautiful creations in homage to these colors that have been with us for 2 years!!!! Join us in their farewell!!!

Here's my card:

This card uses ALL retiring products! We are losing so many products this year! So many new & exciting ones coming though!

This card uses all 5 of the retiring In-Colors. My fave has always been the      Starry Sky. It's such a pretty, deep tone.  The stamp set has been with us for 2 catalogs & has been used quite a bit! I hate that the Scallop Contour Dies are going!!! I've used them so much! Such great backgrounds! Alas alack!

The image was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Also retiring. I liked how this one just gives that little bit of texture to the card.

Lastly, the embellishments. The Metallic Woven Ribbon has been my fave ribbons for a long time! They are nice & thin-good for mailing! And so easy to tie! Hoping for some great new ones just like them! It's finished off with the dragonsflies from the Dragonflies & Birds Adhesives. I am literally shocked these are not returning!!!! They sold out so fast & I waited literally months for them to come back into stock!!! I would've thought they would still be around! Well don't be surprised if ya see one "flying" around on a future project!!! lol Love em!!

So time to say goodbye. I'll miss these and so many more retiring products. But look forward to welcoming some great new ones!!!

Now hop over to Janey's blog to see her goodbye! Simply click on her name here or on the icon below! Then keep going! I know you won't be sorry! Get some ideas to use up the retirees-to make room for the new ones of course!!!! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-EASTER LILIES

Happy spring! Well-almost! Here on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are going "springy" this month-Hopping into spring! I thought that would be a perfect time to create an Easter card!  What is more springy than Easter?!

Here's my card:

This is a "fun fold" of sorts.  I wanted to be able to add some interest to the oh so beautiful Easter Lilies stamp set & dies!!!! This one give a bit of interest with the front panel.  You can just sort of see it here. Hard to photograph it!!!

I simply cut out the center of the front of the card then used it as the top matte.  Stamped & embossed it using the Fern Embossing folder! I thought it went with the ferns that are stamped!

Simply added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies embellishments to give it that special attention! The sentiment panel is cut from the Countryside Corners Dies.

Of course I had to finish off the inside! Had to make sure the image is in the middle as it's covered by the mat in the front!

This is a super easy stamp/die set, and it looks soooooo pretty!!!! I think it makes a very special Easter card!

Hope it gave you a "springy feeling"!!! If you want more spring, hop over to     Terri's blog!!!! And keep going! I know I sure need a dose of spring!!!! Simply click on her name here or on the icon below! It'll take you on a "spring fling"!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

PAPER PUMPKIN POSSIBILITIES BLOG HOP-SWEET SPRINGTIME

It's springtime here on the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!             Sweet Springtime that is! The February Paper Pumpkin kit is sure to bring you lots of good feelings about spring! It's so pretty with great greetings in the exclusive stamp set!

Now let's see what our group of independent  demonstrators have done as alternatives!!

So here's how the cards look as included in the kit:

Here's my alternate card:

Now just to illustrate how great & simple these kits are, my kit somehow came without a direction sheet! Oops! Never happened before, & I'm sure it won't again! But just using the pictures, I was able to create these cuties! You can too!

So for my alternative design I kind of went outside of the actual box! lol I like to try to keep the alternatives to just the materials included so you can get some ideas without having all the "extras". But this card uses some card stock & the           Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. That's it though.

I went through my card collection & realized I didn't have any new baby cards. We know of a couple of little ones coming along soon so this was quite timely!  I think this slimline card came out simply adorable!!! I love the color combo from the kit! The sentiment banner is even from the scraps from when I cut the "box" piece of the kit. Super cute!

Hope you like! And I know you'll LOVE all the other creations on this hop! Please just click on the links below to go to the other blogs! You are guaranteed to find some great inspiration! Comments always welcome!!!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU-THOUGHFUL EXPRESSIONS-SIMPLE & STEPPED UP!

Welcome! This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are featuring some of our lovely products from the January-April Spring Mini Catalog! However, we are going a step further! We are giving you stepped-up options! Sometime ya wanna go crazy & create, but other times ya just want something easy! Well this group of international independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators will give you tons of options!!!

I am sharing with you 3 options with the same stamp set. Very simple, a bit more, then lots of product & detail. Just some ideas!!! See how you can step up your products!

Card #1:

Very simple. No layers (well there is a layer of white but only because the     Stampin' Blends bleed through!) This card is simply stamped with the     Thoughtful Expressions stamp set & colored with Blends. You can eliminate the top layer by using colored pencils, markers, whatever you have on hand. Or just leave it uncolored! It's a beautiful bird either way! Just some simple             Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds adorn the card, but you could go without if you'd like.

Card #2:

This card is slightly stepped up! The bird is stamped & colored, but this time it is die cut with the coordinating Thoughtful Expressions Dies. The background is embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder. Same card, just die cut, embossed & some Linen Thread

Card #3:

Now this card is fully stepped up!! Added Perennial Lavender DSP, ribbon and sentiment shapes! It uses a lot more product, but it is still basically the same card-just fully stepped up!!!! It is blinged up with some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems! Gotta have some bling! It's all "wrapped up" with the beautiful Crinkle Ribbon-which actually you can get in our Sale-a-Bration Catalog for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $50!

So 3 cards-same layout, just each having a different level & amount of product!  A.K.A. stepped up!!!! This Thoughtful Expressions bundle is absolutely beautiful & so very versatile!

Now please go take a trip around the world & visit the other blogs in our hop! They are listed below! We love comments, so feel free to give some positive feedback. Enjoy your trip!

Happy Stampin'!!!
