NEW AT SU-CATALOG SKETCH INSPIRATION

Hello friends! This month on the New at SU Blog Hop we are using the sketches on page 22 of the new Annual Catalog as inspiration for our creations!!! This group of international independent demonstrators is so creative, but sometimes it's nice to let someone else do the "thinking" for us! If you haven't noticed these sketches then I suggest you take a look!!! There are some amazing ideas there!

Here's my card:

Here is the inspiration sketch:

Now using a sketch is really fun! It gives you a "quick start"! You can see here I simply turned the card to  landscape instead of portrait. You can "copy" the sketch exactly or use it as inspiration! I did copy it pretty closely here-just turned it!

So I had fun  using all my new In-Colors on this! I just LOVE working with the Decorative Layering Masks! I think they make such a beautiful image & they are so easy! This Layers of Beauty combo of mask & stamp set makes such a pretty card!!!!

The outline of the image is stamped using Basic Gray to help soften the image! The Blending Brushes are the perfect tool to use here! And the mask is so easy to clean when you are finished!  The beautiful Unbounded Beauty 12x12 DSP is the perfect paper to coordinate!!! So many options in that pack to work with here! I kept it subtle!

The only other materials used on the card are the so fun                               Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (Silver) pack-full dislosure-I can't stop using these!!  lol And the Baker's Twine Essential Pack!

Now please go visit the other blogs listed below to see how they interpreted these awesome sketches!!! I'm sure you'll get some super creative ideas!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

NEW AT SU-COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS & SENDING SMILES

This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are trying something different-we are CASEing each other!!! Yup! This group of International independent demonstrators is featuring our own wonderful creations!

If you are not aware, CASE means Copy And Share Everything!! We find a creation by one of our amazingly talented hop-mates and CASE it! I was given the wonderful Rachael Coon over at The Joy of Stampin' with Rachael to CASE!!!

So here's her creation I decided to copy:

If you click on either picture it'll take you directly to her post! Or just simply find her amazing blog from the links down below!!!

Here's what I came up with:

You cans sign your name on the bottom/Parakeet Party!

I didn't have a gift card handy so I just used a piece of white paper to illustrate!

Now it's always nice to have a "plan" when creating! I loved this gift card holder that she came up with!!! Now when CASEing you can copy design, colors, layout, etc.-just about anything in the card you like! I liked the design here but I don't have the products she used! So I pulled out some of my favorite retiring products to feature for one last time! So sad!

The retiring stamp sets are Sending Smiles, Perennial Postage &        Countryside Corners. I'm trying to use up my retiring In-Colors too! Gonna miss this Parakeet Party so much!!! The dies used are Sending, Scalloped Corners and Countryside Corners (the only on-retiring product on the card!!!) Throw in some Basic Pearls colored with the matching Stampin' Blends & ya got a nice embellishment!!!!

So hope you enjoyed this CASE! I'm lovin' Rachael's blog & hope you do to! Be sure to visit it!!!! As well as the other blogs below!!!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU-THOUGHFUL EXPRESSIONS-SIMPLE & STEPPED UP!

Welcome! This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are featuring some of our lovely products from the January-April Spring Mini Catalog! However, we are going a step further! We are giving you stepped-up options! Sometime ya wanna go crazy & create, but other times ya just want something easy! Well this group of international independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators will give you tons of options!!!

I am sharing with you 3 options with the same stamp set. Very simple, a bit more, then lots of product & detail. Just some ideas!!! See how you can step up your products!

Card #1:

Very simple. No layers (well there is a layer of white but only because the     Stampin' Blends bleed through!) This card is simply stamped with the     Thoughtful Expressions stamp set & colored with Blends. You can eliminate the top layer by using colored pencils, markers, whatever you have on hand. Or just leave it uncolored! It's a beautiful bird either way! Just some simple             Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds adorn the card, but you could go without if you'd like.

Card #2:

This card is slightly stepped up! The bird is stamped & colored, but this time it is die cut with the coordinating Thoughtful Expressions Dies. The background is embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder. Same card, just die cut, embossed & some Linen Thread

Card #3:

Now this card is fully stepped up!! Added Perennial Lavender DSP, ribbon and sentiment shapes! It uses a lot more product, but it is still basically the same card-just fully stepped up!!!! It is blinged up with some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems! Gotta have some bling! It's all "wrapped up" with the beautiful Crinkle Ribbon-which actually you can get in our Sale-a-Bration Catalog for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $50!

So 3 cards-same layout, just each having a different level & amount of product!  A.K.A. stepped up!!!! This Thoughtful Expressions bundle is absolutely beautiful & so very versatile!

Now please go take a trip around the world & visit the other blogs in our hop! They are listed below! We love comments, so feel free to give some positive feedback. Enjoy your trip!

Happy Stampin'!!!

Happy New Year!!! And Welcome to another fun year of "hopping" around the world with this fun group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators!!! We are glad you are here!!!!

So we are featuring some of the fabulous SAB items here on the hop!

Here's my card!

There is minimal stamping here-only the sentiment, and that's from the        Enduring Beauty stamp set! Otherwise, it's all DSP! This 12x12 pack             Flight and Airy is FREE with your $50 purchase! This is such a pretty pack! And really so versatile! I just love these chubby little birds!!! And the colors are so bright!!!

These 3 guys are cut from the DSP using the Deckled Circles Dies! You can probably tell the Deckled Rectangle Dies cut out the piece behind them-which is the backside of this DSP! It has been embossed with the                              Painted Texture Embossing Folder, but would've been pretty all on its own!!!

I have so many more ideas for this DSP! Oh, and did I mention that it coordinates with a new stamp set from the January to April Mini?! Yup, get the stamp set-get the DSP for FREE!!!!!! You won't be sorry!!!

Other items used on the card are the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots, Bakers Twine 3-Color Pack, Wink of Stella.

Ho Ho Ho! Here on the November edition of the New at SU Blog hop this group of creative, international Stampin' Up! demonstrators are creating ways for you to give your gift card & gift certificate gifts!!!! It's always fun to get gift cards (then you can shop later!), but it's even more fun when they are in an adorable holder!! Hope you find some fun ideas!!!

Here's mine:

There is literally minimal stamping on this. I found a similar idea on Pinterest, but when I went back to look for it I couldn't find it so had to get creative! lol

I had made a few of these a bit differently last Christmas.  Here's another one I did sort of from memory from last year. These are simple, use little product, and quick! Oh, and they're fun to make!!!

I love how the Abundant Beauty decorative masks work on this project! It looks like a fancy houndstooth Santa coat!!! lol

Copping to a bit of retired product here! the white trim is from last year's catalog, but there's a ton of nice product in the current catalog you can use!!! This was just kind of an impromptu creation because I liked the first so much! lol

Products used on both of these gift card holders are the                          Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack, So Sincere stamp set, Autumn Leaves Dies, Rhinestone Jewels colored with Real Red Stampin' Blends, Classic Matte Dots,                        Holographic Specialty Cardstock, Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, and a bit of retired trim on the "Santa" one!

Now please go check out the blogs listed below! You'll find so many more great ideas from all around the world!!!! Then get crafting! It'll be here before you know it!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-SKETCH CHALLENGE

This month on New at SU Blog Hop this group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators as been given a sketch challenge! Now these are my favorites! I love being given a "map" of sorts to follow! During a sketch challenge you can follow it exactly or add your own flair as long as it still follow the sketch!

Here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

This card was a bit of work but so much fun to make!!!!!! The leaves were heat embossed on Vellum Cardstock using gold & copper embossing powders and the Autumn Leaves stamp set, and cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies. The backs were colored with Stampin' Blends to add some lighter color.

The backdrop paper is from the All About Autumn Specialty DSP! Oh so pretty!!!

Other materials used on this card are the So Sincere stamp set,                 Brushed Metallic Dots, Bakers Twine.

I hope you enjoyed this interpretation of the sketch! Now please go visit the other blogs listed below! I'm sure you'll find some great inspiration to try this sketch on your own!!!

NEW AT SU-COUNTRYSIDE INN SUITE

Happy August New at SU Blog Hop Day!!! lol We are a worldwide group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators sharing some exciting ideas for you to use with our amazing products! This month we are featuring the  many suites in our catalog! These are great coordinated groups of materials that you can use to create! No need to search through all your supplies-simply pull out all the products in the suite & get stampin'!

Here's my card:

So this month I've decided to feature the Countryside Inn Suite. It includes the Countryside Inn Bundle-stamp & dies, the fabulous                          Countryside Inn 12x12 DSP, and the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder! I've used them all here!

This is a simple fun fold! Not sure what it's called, but it is so simple to make! And it's a great way to display your DSP!  And this DSP is soooooo pretty!!!! I love blues!

The graduated dies are really great! They allow you to give mattes & backings to your sentiments or images and then feature them nicely on your card! This stamp set has some pretty variations for the frames, but no sentiments.  I used one from the Hope You Know stamp set!

The only other materials used on this card are the Butterfly embellishments! The embossing really makes it pop I think. What do you think?

This is a very simple card for a kid of any ages. This month's hop has shown me that I need to beef up my kids' collection! lol Most things retired, so time to go shopping!!!

Anyway, this little ladybug has done her job on birthday cards for my little "ladybug" Julia! My first granddaughter just turned 4, and her card had this little ladybug! That's my nickname for her! It really can work for any age, I just thought the google eyes make it more fun & juvenile.

Products used on this card are the Ladybug Builder Punch, Hello Ladybug stamp set, Biggest Wish stamp set, and the Classic Matte Dots.  Very few materials for a fun, colorful card! Perfect for your little ladybug!

Please consider hopping around the world now by checking in on the links below! There are some very fun projects to see! I know you'll find inspiration for your next kids' creations!!!!

This month we are featuring tags-just in time for your gift giving! Sometime ya just want something different!

Here's my tag:

So this uses very little materials, and is a great tag for using up some of your old DSP! This is the beautiful Celebrate Everything DSP which will be leaving us soon! Bah humbug! lol I love this paper pack!

Here I simply created this fun 3-D Christmas tree from one piece of paper! All kinds of folds & a few snips & it's a pretty easy & fun thing to make! Definitely not good for flat mailing, but very pretty under the tree!!! The DSP is mounted on a piece of Basic White for stability. Here's a little close up of the tree!

The stamping on the back is from Santa's Delivery & the to/from is from this month's Paper Pumpkin exclusive stamp set!!!

The string is from the beautiful Iridescent Trim-also leaving us with the           2022 Holiday Mini Catalog. But perfect for a tag!!!

The stars are cut using the Give it a Whirl Dies and                               Distressed Gold 12x12 Specialty Paper! Very fun to make!

Hope you enjoyed this tag! Please click on the links below to see some of the amazing creations our other demonstrators have shared!

NEW AT SU-PENGUIN PLACE GIFT CARD HOLDER

Welcome to the November New at SU Blog Hop! This month our group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators is getting ready for the gift giving with some fun gift card holders!!! We are featuring our amazing products from either the Annual Catalog or the 2022 Fall/Winter Mini-or both!!!

Here's my gift card holder:

Opened up!

Before decorating!!

This design is a little ditty I came up with years ago! Gift cards can get lost in the gift shuffle on Christmas morning or Hanukkah nights! My family has alway just laid the gift cards on the branches of the trees, but often they'd fall & get misplaced. I wanted something that was appropriate for "hanging" on the tree! So this is what I came up with!  It is also awesome to hang off a package when the gift card is an added gift!

I love how the little guy from Penguin Place & the Penguin Punch work here! Just the right size. It also leaves room for me to add a dimensional if I want to close it up tight!

Here's my template: (feel free to use if you wish)

Template                            All cut out!

It allows for a 1/2" thickness.

The inside will hold some tissue paper or one of the folded up cracking ards that the gift cards come on.  You can also add a little note!  I do have a little tag I use to attach to the handle, but it's not pictured! You can also adhere a piece of white to the back of the holder with to & from!  Lots of fun ideas!!!

Other materials used are the Celebrate Everything DSP and the            Iridescent Trim!

So I hope you have found some inspiration here! Please visit the blogs listed below to see what else you can do to make your gift cards look amazing!!!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU-SIMPLE TO STEPPED UP WITH RINGED WITH NATURE

Hi there! Thank you for joining us on our New at SU Blog Hop! We are a fun group of international stampers sharing some inspiration for your next projects!  This month we are going from simple-stepped up! Got a little (materials or time)? Keep it simple! Got a lot (materials or time)? Step it up! And don't forget somewhere in between!!!

Here are my cards this month:

So this is the grouping of simple, casual & avid cards using the same materials! With slight add-ons for the casual and avid cards! I've used the                      Ringed with Nature Bundle from our Annual Catalog. It includes the           Ringed with Nature Stamp Set, Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and the Tree Rings Dies-and if purchased as a bundle saves you 10%!

Simple

The simple or beginner card is just that-very simple! They are usually one layer with just ink & paper. I created my own background by broadcast stamping the images from the stamp set, the added a simple sentiment strip.  This is basically a        ,one-layer card-except of course for the sentiment strip which is attached with dimensionals! I still can't get used to only one layer on my card  lol

Casual

The casual card usually adds a layer or two and some additional materials.  This one has a matte layer under the same broadcast stamped background as the casual, but it is embossed in with the Tree Rings folder! Then I used the folder & dies to create the "ring" for the sentiment.  Oh, just because I'm me I had to add some gems from the Leaf Label and Amber Gems Combo Pack and just a tiny bit of              Linen Thread! lol So this card is just a little stepped up!

Avid

The avid or stepped-up card has all that the casual card does just with a lot more bells & whistles!, Here I've added a second ring, stamped & fussy cut the sentiment, added some of the greenery & acorn from the die set, and brought in a leaf from the Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack! This card is very stepped up!

Bear in mind it did not take long to create all 3 cards! Not a lot of different materials were used either! Other than the 2 colors of cardstock (Very Vanilla &             Merry Merlot), inks, and the suite of products, the only other materials are the Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack & Linen Thread!

This was a very fun project to do! I hope you can find some inspiration from one or more of the amazing blogs highlighted below!  There is some serious talent on this hop, and their ideas are sure to spark some creativity!!! Check them all out!! Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!!!

NEW AT SU-FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS/SEASIDE SEASHELL DIES

This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are featuring the "Perfect Partners"-stamp sets and dies!!! Stampin' Up! has oh so many wonderful choices!!! I decided to go "old-school" this month & use one of my favorite "partners"! Check it out!

My card:

Friends are Like Seashells paired with the Seashells Dies are among my favorite product suites ever created by Stampin' Up! There is also a beautiful Seashell 3D Embossing Folder that goes along with it! You can find it in our Annual Catalog!

I am totally a beach girl-anything beach or ocean.  This set is so classic & so lovely that I've used it a ton! You don't need to do a lot with it! It speaks for itself!

I've used it hear with the Pearlescent 12x12 Specialty Paper! It originally paired with the suite, It is so nice when stamped, embossed and cut! It's a bit tricky stamping this paper, but with a bit of patience it gives just the perfect "shell-like" finish!

No sentiment here. I don't think it's needed. And it makes the card versatile! This can be used for any occasion.

Don't forget the inside!

Other materials used are Deckled Rectangle Dies, Basic Pearls Jewels (colored with Stampin' Blends), and Linen Thread.

Now please follow the links below to the rest of the beautiful creations on this hop! You will be inspired to pull out those perfect partners & create something fabulous!!!

Happy Stampin'!
