NEW AT SU-CATALOG SKETCH INSPIRATION

Hello friends! This month on the New at SU Blog Hop we are using the sketches on page 22 of the new Annual Catalog as inspiration for our creations!!! This group of international independent demonstrators is so creative, but sometimes it's nice to let someone else do the "thinking" for us! If you haven't noticed these sketches then I suggest you take a look!!! There are some amazing ideas there!

Here's my card:

Here is the inspiration sketch:

Now using a sketch is really fun! It gives you a "quick start"! You can see here I simply turned the card to  landscape instead of portrait. You can "copy" the sketch exactly or use it as inspiration! I did copy it pretty closely here-just turned it!

So I had fun  using all my new In-Colors on this! I just LOVE working with the Decorative Layering Masks! I think they make such a beautiful image & they are so easy! This Layers of Beauty combo of mask & stamp set makes such a pretty card!!!!

The outline of the image is stamped using Basic Gray to help soften the image! The Blending Brushes are the perfect tool to use here! And the mask is so easy to clean when you are finished!  The beautiful Unbounded Beauty 12x12 DSP is the perfect paper to coordinate!!! So many options in that pack to work with here! I kept it subtle!

The only other materials used on the card are the so fun                               Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (Silver) pack-full dislosure-I can't stop using these!!  lol And the Baker's Twine Essential Pack!

Now please go visit the other blogs listed below to see how they interpreted these awesome sketches!!! I'm sure you'll get some super creative ideas!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-FLIGHT AND AIRY

Happy New Year!!! And Welcome to another fun year of "hopping" around the world with this fun group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators!!! We are glad you are here!!!!

This month we not only get an amazing new January to April Mini Catalog, but also a spring SALE-A-BRATION Catalog!!!  How fun is that! And remember, everything in the SAB catalog is FREE with a qualifying purchase!!! So it's a win/win situation!!!

So we are featuring some of the fabulous SAB items here on the hop!

Here's my card!

There is minimal stamping here-only the sentiment, and that's from the        Enduring Beauty stamp set! Otherwise, it's all DSP! This 12x12 pack             Flight and Airy is FREE with your $50 purchase! This is such a pretty pack! And really so versatile! I just love these chubby little birds!!! And the colors are so bright!!!

These 3 guys are cut from the DSP using the Deckled Circles Dies! You can probably tell the Deckled Rectangle Dies cut out the piece behind them-which is the backside of this DSP! It has been embossed with the                              Painted Texture Embossing Folder, but would've been pretty all on its own!!!

I have so many more ideas for this DSP! Oh, and did I mention that it coordinates with a new stamp set from the January to April Mini?! Yup, get the stamp set-get the DSP for FREE!!!!!! You won't be sorry!!!

Other items used on the card are the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots, Bakers Twine 3-Color Pack, Wink of Stella.

Please be sure to check out the blogs listed below! They have so many wonderful ideas using the items from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog!!!! I know you'll find tons of inspiration!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-SKETCH CHALLENGE

This month on New at SU Blog Hop this group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators as been given a sketch challenge! Now these are my favorites! I love being given a "map" of sorts to follow! During a sketch challenge you can follow it exactly or add your own flair as long as it still follow the sketch!

Here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

This card was a bit of work but so much fun to make!!!!!! The leaves were heat embossed on Vellum Cardstock using gold & copper embossing powders and the Autumn Leaves stamp set, and cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies. The backs were colored with Stampin' Blends to add some lighter color.

The backdrop paper is from the All About Autumn Specialty DSP! Oh so pretty!!!

Other materials used on this card are the So Sincere stamp set,                 Brushed Metallic Dots, Bakers Twine.

I hope you enjoyed this interpretation of the sketch! Now please go visit the other blogs listed below! I'm sure you'll find some great inspiration to try this sketch on your own!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-INTRODUCING THE 2023-2025 IN-COLORS

Well hello new Annual Catalog!!! And with it new In-Colors! Stampin' Up! also did a color refresh so there are some pretty cool new & returning colors!!! But for this hop we are introducing the '23-'25 In-Colors-Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, & Pebbled Path!  It's a nice assortment of sort of muted colors! They go so well with all the other colors in the SU palette!! I think you'll love them!!! I sure do!

Here's my card:

So I was sooooo excited to see this stamp set-Little Monkey! My grandson is my "monkey" so this is a special set for me! Plus they're so cute!!! The little monkeys were colored with the Copper Clay Stampin' Blends, and the Wild Wheat Blends were used for their little faces!

Now the banners in the background really represent the other colors nicely with both cardstock & the In-Color 6x6 DSP Assortment. As always Stampin' Up! has provided all kinds of accessories in the new colors!

One of the best things about this stamp set is the matching                              Little Monkey Builder Punch! Yup! You can punch out your own barrel full of monkeys!!! I simply fussy cut the other 2!

Only other addition is the Crumb Cake Bakers Twine from the                    Baker's Twine Essentials Pack!!! Easy peasy!!!

Hope you enjoyed "swinging" by here today! (See what I did there? lol)  Cheryl is up next in our hop! So simply click on her name or the icon below & go visit! Then keep going! So much fun to see our new colors in action!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS-CROSS-STITCHED CHRISTMAS

This month on Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are starting our       Holiday crafting with a 3-D item! Lots of fun ideas for the holidays!!!   We are a week early this month as many of us will be traveling to Orlando next week for our OnStage event!!! So much fun ahead!!!

So let me start by saying 3-D items are a real challenge for me! If you follow this blog, you know I'm a real CAS (Clean & Simple) kinda gal! My cards are very linear & simple. I do not usually work with 3-D items! In fact I rarely make them!  I love to look at them & see the great ideas others have, but I'm not great at coming up with something new! But the holidays are all about bling & fun, so I decided to give it a try! My creation is rather CAS, but I think its cute! What dya think?

Here it is:

So I thought what's more 3-D for the holidays than Christmas ornaments? Most people have a tree, so we need the ornaments to hang from them! These came out cute, but they are very simple!!!

My fave stamp set from the Holiday Catalog is the Cross-Stitched Christmas set! I love the multi-step stamping, & I think it's a pretty, crisp stamp set!

These 3 little ornaments sparkle! I used my amazing Stamparatus to stamp the base layer in a color, the second layer with Versamark &                     White Embossing Powder, and the 3rd layer with Versamark &
Silver Embossing Powder!  I chose these colors because I feel they are "cool" colors-for winter!!!

I am not one for fussy cutting, but I thought the Stitched Oval Framelit made the ornament look like it was in a hoop.   Which is where you would work the cross-stitch! I backed them all with a nice Silver Glimmer Paper.  Just thought they needed some "bling" on the backside!

I fortunately had matching colors in the twine-Night of Navy Medium Bakers Twine, & 2 colors from Nature's Twine!  Add a bit of Glitter Enamel Dots & Basic Jewels Rhinestone bling & it's kinda sweet!!!

So nothing fancy but easy to make & fun to hang on your tree! Great to do with your kids!!!!

Now hop over to Terri's blog & see what she came up with!!! Just click on her name or the icon below & you'll get there! Then keep going!! Follow through this great hop of ideas to get you into the Holiday spirit & ready for crafting!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-IT'S A GIRL THING!

This month on the
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop
we are featuring things that are "girlie"!!! And what is more girlie than PINK!!! lol

Here's my card:

I really wanted to feature some of my fave items from the '16-'17 Annual Catalog & '17 Occasions Catalog!!! So much is retiring! I will miss both of these stamp sets so much!!!!

So I used the Melon Mambo color scheme for the whole girlie thing!!! lol  The DSP is the Pop of Pink Specialty DSP from the Annual Catalog!  I just tried to really "girlie" it up with some beautiful falsies on the hot little flamingo-eyelashes that is!!!!

The stamp sets are the Pop of Paradise from the Annual and Hey Chick from the Occasions!  Both of them have been used extensively by me! I will honestly miss them both! Altho there are some newbies that I'm sure will fill in the void!!! lol

Other items used are the Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Melon Mambo Thick Bakers Twine, Wink of Stella, Diamond Basic Jewels
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

Now to see some more girlie cards please hop on to Deb's Flying Stamper!!! You can either click her name or the icon below! Then be sure to keep going right through the hop! Lots of great stuff to see!!! We love comments so feel free to leave one!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Here we are beginning our Valentine's Day Celebrations at
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!!!
Didn't we just finish Christmas?? LOL

Welcome hoppers from Helen's blog!!!! Keep hopping to Lizzy's place when you are finished here-then keep going!!!! Enjoy!!!

This week our Valentine Card can NOT have red or pink!!! Hmmm??? Tough one? You'll see some beauties here!!!

Here's my card:

And our inspiration:

So I started with my Affectionately Yours DSP. This is one of my all-time paper packs! I just think these colors are beautiful!!!!  Then I pulled out the Blossoms Punch & started punching away!!!! I just thought a flower heart was unique. Haven't seen one out there!

The sentiment is from the January My Paper Pumpkin kit! Just got it! And it's punch out with the Sweetheart Punch!  Added some of the
Sending Love Embellishments & Night of Navy Baker's Twine & voila! Valentine with no red or pink!! Well, the Watermelon Wonder is sorta pinkish, but it's definitely not the focus of the card, so I'm ok with that! Plus, it's not really pink! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Here we are in another week of Silver & Gold
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!
Lots of Holiday bling here!!

Welcome from Helen's blog!!! Next hop on over to Lizzy's place!!! It'll be a "blingy" experience!!!

So here's my card this week:

And our inspiration photo:

More Christmas look this week! I LOVE this Pine Bough Embossing Folder & I'm so sad it's retiring! It makes for such an easy but beautiful card!!  And wow, on the Silver Foil Sheet?! Amazing!!!!!!

The only stamping on this is the sentiment. It's from the Tin of Tags stamp set. I wanted a different shape just because. So I tried (and it worked!) the
Paisley Framelits! I think I'll use this again! Love how it came out!

Wanted just a pop of color from the Pine Boughs Framelits! Round it all off with some Rouched Ribbon and some Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine & it's a pretty simple yet elegant card!!!

This will also be my first day of my
"Annual 12 Cards of Christmas"!!!!
One per day until the big day!!! So be sure to watch back & enjoy some fun cards filled with Christmas cheer!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Welcome to the first week of December's
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop!!! This month we are all about glitz & glam! Our cards will have silver and/or gold!!! Love the bling idea!!! Thanx Robbie!!!

So you're hopping here from Helen's blog!! Love her sparkle!!! After here, head to Sandy's blog! Nice to have her hopping this week!!!

So here's my card:

Here's our inspiration:

So you say Gold I'm going Gold!!! I've had this design in mind for awhile. Not sure why it came to me! lol It's a bit flashy, but I love how it turned out!!!! In the photo, the Glimmer Paper looks like snow!!! lol

So my gold here is from the amazing Gold Glimmer Paper!!! I also used the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper for the snowman! Can u say sparkle!!! lol

The additions to the snowman & the banners were made with Pink Flamingo and Candy Candy Lane Washi Tape.  Just to let ya know, the black washi has bits of gold in it!!! lol

So I simply used circle punches & created the snowman! Simple!  The letters are from the Labeler Alphabet stamp set! I don't know what I'll do if they retire this one!!!

All finished off with Black & Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine.  I will say, it helps to add a bit of the Tombo Multi glue under the washi when working with washi on Glimmer paper! Helps it all stick!

So hope you enjoyed! I'm working on more silver & gold for next week!!!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Welcome to Week 2 of Thanks here on the
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop!!!  November is definitely the month for gratitude!!

Hello hoppers from Robbie's blog! Don't forget to head over to Lizzy's blog when u r through here!! We are only 4 this week! But 4 Strong!!!

Here's my card:

Here's our inspiration photo:

So one more week without going all fall! Because I totally have one beautiful fall thank you's coming up! I just wanted something that didn't make me focus on the winter days ahead! I'm such a summer girl that the thought of cold and nastiness ahead just makes me quiver! But the warmth of Thanksgiving holiday & Christmas ahead warm my heart! But this week, just a cute thank you card!

So I visited my old friend Grateful Bunch stamp set! This one is so striking! Especially when you cut out the flowers with the coordinating Blossom Punch. They really pop!  All the stamping, including the sentiment, is from that one set! I like to feature the stamp sets that way. Show their versatility.

I simply punched out a tag with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and added a bit of Night of Navy Bakers Twine for affect!  Hope you like & feel loved & thanked!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

So we are here on a new Halloween week on our
Coloring Down the Lines
blog hop with a full house this week!!!

Welcome from Helen's blog!!! Next in line is Lizzy's blog! Then keep going through the hop & see everyone's Halloween creation!!! Lots of fun stuff here this week!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So I hope you're not sick of these little guys, because I could stamp & punch them out all day long!!! Soon I'll have to put them away! So I thought one last CDTL week with my buddies will work!

So the name of the stamp set is Cookie Cutter Halloween! The guys are cut using the Cookie Cutter Punch!  I just simply embossed the background matte using the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder.  I used my Layered Letters & Labeler Alphabet stamps for the words. Threw in a little
Pink Flamingo Washi Tape & some Halloween Bakers Twine & it's a cute little card!!!

So there's one more week of Halloween treats! Next week I promise something "spooookkkkyyyy" just for you!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Welcome back! We are
Coloring Down the Lines
on our little blog hop once again! This month we are trying something a bit different. We are not limited to specific colors, but more a color scheme with a theme! I'm loving it!  Lots more options!!!!

Well things that don't change is you are probably hopping from Helen's blog and gonna hop on over to Lizzy's blog!!! I've said before how much I love being the bologna in their sandwich! lol

So here's this week's card:

Here is the photo for inspiration:

Now I know I could've gone all out with trees & leaves & such. But see, I'm not really a fall person! I nearly had a breakdown when we covered the pool last weekend! lol

So I decided to keep it simple & use one of my fave stamp sets from the Annual Catalog-Vertical Greetings!   This stamp set was sitting on my desk saying, "Stamp with ME" so I did!  I used some Stampin' Write Markers to add the fall colors.

The background paper is from the Serene Scenery DSP Paper Stack! Sooooo love that stack of paper! Altho this is the first time I actually used the back of any of it! The front is so pretty!!!

Finished it off with a bit of the Burlap Ribbon and some Linen Thread
Red Bakers Twine to add a bit of a pop.

Fall actually begins this week so maybe next week I'll be more "there", but right now, I wanna enjoy the last couple of days of actual summer. This card is "gently fall"! I'm easing in!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello hoppers! Our little
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop has begun this week!  Such pretty colors!

Welcome hoppers from Amanda's Crafty Playdate! Helen is off this week!!!  Be sure to head on to Sandy's blog next! We are small but we are mighty!!!! lol

Here's my card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So I didn't go with the inspiration in the photo once again!!! I wanted to play with this fun stamp set/punch combo!!!  I just like how the colors worked here!

So the stamp set is Grateful Bunch! There are so many fun stamp designs there!  But the punch really makes it!  It's the Blossoms Punch!! Cuts 3 pretty flowers at once! I will say the "dots" on the background are from         Gorgeous Grunge. I love to pull that out whenever I need that extra "something"!

Bling it up with Pearls Basic Jewels & add a Wink of Stella and some Whisper White Bakers Twine & it's a sweet little card!! Oh, the sentiment is heat embossed! Kinda hard to tell here! Love how this card came out!!

So go hop around & enjoy this week's cards!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello hoppers! Here's yet another
Coloring Down the Lines
with some fun colors this week!!!

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog! I know you were amazed there!!! When you are finished here be sure to keep going to Lizzy's blog! Lots of awesomeness there too! Then keep going until you get back to where you started!!! Have fun! Leave a comment!

Here's my card this week:

And our Inspiration Photo:

And our Stampin' Up! colors:

So I decided I wanted to just make a simple card for no specific event or reason. Just because!  These colors are so nice & rich.  I just decided to visit some of my "oldies" from the Annual Catalog!

I used Brushstrokes to make the fun sort of gingham background. That single stamp makes lots of fun designs! It's fun to use multiple colors to create cool things with those stripes!

Layered Letters is the greatest alphabet set ever! It's just the right size with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  The little bow is from the
Wonderful Wreath Framelits set.  I just added a bit of Bakers Twine for dimension.

So short & sweet today! Cute, simple everyday card! Happy hopping'!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-CELEBRATE DAD!

It's Father's Day at the
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop
Seems early, but it gives you time & ideas for planning! So please follow our hop & find your "masculine" card ideas!!!

Here's my Father's Day card:

First, my theory with masculine cards is KISS (Keep It Simple Simple!) Guys aren't usually into blitz, bling, frills, etc. This card is a fairly simple card. I love the idea of color blocking on a guy's card. Adds a whole new level, but still kinda plain. I think the embossing adds just the right touch!

I also like this sentiment for a dad! I know it doesn't say Father's Day on the outside, but I left that for the inside!

I pulled out my retiring In-Colors (boohoo!) for this card! I will surely miss these colors! But trust me, you will LOVE the new ones!!! Soon grasshopper! Soon!!!

The stamp set is One Tag Fits All from the Occasions Catalog! Also soon to be gone! As is the In-Color Baker's Twine & Sequins.  So long old friends!

So now keep hopping over to Tammy's blog & keep going! We love to hear how much you enjoy our creations! Just click on her link above or the picture below & it'll take you to Tammy's blog! Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

It's SPRING!!! April Fools! Not even close-at least not here in New England! Still yucky cold & wintery white!!! Everywhere except here on this
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!!
Today we hit some beautiful spring colors!!!  In fact, I couldn't do just one! You'll see!

So hello hoppers from Helen's Blog!!! And everyone who is beginning the hop here!! Be sure to continue on over to Liz's Blog & then keep going!!! Get your dose of spring here!!!!

So here are my cardS:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors in MDS:
So yes, I couldn't do just 1 card! The first made me feel springy & got me motivated to make another!    Not only is it April 1, but Easter will be Sunday! And I love tulips on my Easter table!!

Now both cards are fairly quick, CAS cards. Easy to whip up 2 in no time! Remember, CAS is my style! I like the simplicity of the cards, plus I like to give ideas on how the busy working stamper can make cards quickly& with minimal products!

The first is simply the Painted Petals stamp set. Both the image & the sentiment. Everything is cut out with the Oval Framelits.
The  background on the card base is simply the Spring Flowers Textured Embossing Folder.  Add a bit of Bakers Twine from my Sale-a-Bration stash & it finishes off nicely! Easy breezy!!!

The second card is still simple. I did use 3 stamp sets for this one, but you don't have to. The tulips & fatter stems were made with the Works of Art stamp set.
The sentiment & ferns are from Butterfly Basics (soon to be available once again!), and the thinner stem from the Lotus Blossom SAB stamp set.  You could do the stems simply with markers.  The only accessories are Linen Thread, Venetian Crochet Trim, & of course the bling-Dazzling Details!  Again, easy breezy!

So go try to find some spring where you are. If not, check out this blog hop! The talented ladies here are sure to get you "springing" into the season!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Hello all you Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hoppers!!! I can't believe it's March hop time already!!!! As  I type this, we are having our first day in the upper 40's F since January 18! It feels like summer! Ugh!  Still snowbanks over my head! With more snow on it's way!!!

That's why I'm so excited about a SPRING blog hop!! Can't wait to see what everyone has! Hopefully it'll help me at least think spring!!! Feels like the only place it exists in in this blog hop!!! lol

So here's my card:

It's kind of going old-school for me! I haven't done something with this type design in awhile!  But I love how the Something Lacy giant stamp makes such a pretty background! This one was done with a sponge & 3 different colors!!! Such a versatile stamp!!!

So nothing says "spring" to  me like flowers do! The flower is from the
Crazy About You Stamp set and is punched out with The coordinating
Flower Medallion Punch!  Super easy! I did fussy cut the inner flower & the leaves, but that wasn't too taxing!

Other items used are the Simply Wonderful stamp set for the sentiment, Candy Dots & Candy Dot Brad Base, & Wide Baker's Twine.

Sweet simple & spring!!!

So go pop on over to Tina's blog now & see what she has to offer! Be sure to keep going after visiting hers!!! Hopefully you will get some "spring fever" too!!! Please leave a comment! We love to hear from you!! Just click the picture below!!!

Happy Stampin'!
