COLORING DOWN THE LINES

This week on
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
we are once again visiting our retiring products. We are always so sad to see some favorites go, but happy to welcome in some newbies!

So before me is Helen's blog. And after me is Lizzy's blog.  Be sure to check to see what they will be missing!!!

So here's my card:

And Robbie's inspiration photo:
So this is probably the hardest stamp set for me to let go-Pineapple. For a lot of reasons, this is close to my heart! I have used it throughout the year for so many different projects.  It's not a fancy stamp set-in fact it only has 1 stamp in it!  But what a beauty. And the significance of the pineapple is so special-welcome to all.

I also used another sadly retiring set for the sentiment-Crazy About You. Why on earth they'd retire that one I have no idea! Such a versatile set with so many perfect sayings for just about any occasion!!!  My set is so used!!! lol

I also used the retiring In-Colors on this card.  I will miss them as I miss the In-Colors every year! But wait until you see the new ones!!! Ooh la la!!!

So bye bye Pineapple & Crazy About You! You will both be terribly missed by me!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Blog Hop of November! Wow! Where did the month go??? Well we are happy to share one more week of thanks with you! Then on to the big show!!!

You've probably arrived here from Helen's happenin' blog! When you are through hop over to Lizzy's blog for some thankful cheer!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So this was just a fun card to use some items I haven't brought out in awhile. I wanted to use my Swirly Scribbles Framelits. Haven't seen them in awhile! There is a stamp set to go with, but I didn't use it here!

You may recognize the 15-17 In-Colors here! Strawberry Slush, Cucumber Crush & Tip-Top Taupe! It was a dreary day when I created this so I wanted something bright to cheer things up!

The beautiful background is from the Affectionately Yours DSP. The only embellishments are the Burlap Ribbon, Natural Twine & Pearl Basic Jewels.  The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set!

So just a fun card this week! Next week we begin the month of December! And you can probably guess what we will be featuring then!!! Can I just say-BLING!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Well it's Thanksgiving week!!! And our third week of thank you cards on our
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop!!!
This has been a fun month! Lots of great thank you cards with one more week to go!

You may be hopping here from Helen's blog! Be sure to hop on over to
Lizzy's blog next!!! I'm very "thankful" to be the bologna in their sandwich! lol

Here's my card this week:

Here's the inspiration:

So this is a fairly simple card for a reason-it's designed for a good friend who did something really nice last week or me! She is awesome, and she likes the simple things in life! Not really flashy or busy! She loves my CAS (Clean & Simple) cards. So this is for her!

The flower is from the Sunshine Wishes Framelits collection! I love these! There is a cool stamp set to match! But I didn't use it for this card.

I used my favorite DSP like ever-Serene Scenery!! I love this little pack!!!! It just add such a pop! When you see it in person, this card actually looks textured!!! It's so cool!!!

To finish it off, I simply added some Burlap Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels, and a sentiment from Sheltering Tree! Simple yet effective!!!!

I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving! And always remember to be thankful for the little things in life!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration this week:

So I wanted to do something pretty for Thanksgiving! I absolutely LOVE this Paisley Suite!  I want to just stamp away!!!

So the stamp set is called Paisleys & Posies! It has the most amazing matching Paisley Framelits!!! It's so easy & versatile1 Perfect for any occasion! It's my current fave! You'll see lots of it! lol

I heat embossed the images with Copper Embossing Powder on our most beautiful Copper Foil Sheets! Wow are these beautiful in person!!! The embossing really brings it out too!!!!  Then I added some Burlap Ribbon and a few Pearl Basics to finish it off! I'm very happy with how this card turned out!!!

All these items are in the Holiday Catalog!  We are never sure if they will be carried over into the Annual Catalog! So if you see something you like, then grab it while you can!!! This catalog is only good until the end of December!!

Now hop away to see how everyone else is showing thanks!!!

Happy Stamping'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

It's October! Halloween time at
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
Well I'm sort of changing it up a bit yet staying on track. Clear as mud?! lol

Hoppers this week are here from Amanda's Crafty Playdate!!! Head over to Lizzy's when you are through!!! Enjoy the projects my friends have to share with you!!!

So here's my card this week:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So this week we are supposed to do Halloween! Well mine is a Halloween Birthday card! I'm not a huge Halloween fan. I think the holidays get rushed, so to me, Halloween is more fall-like! I actually made this card for a friend whose birthday is on Halloween! So I wanted it to be about her! But the pumpkin keeps it seasonal!

This was such a simple card but I think it really packs a punch.  Simple yet fun!  The only stamping really here is the sentiment from the BYOP stamp set! The pumpkin parts were cut with the Oval Framelits and the Paisley Framelits. The edges of the pumpkin were sponged to add some depth.

The background DSP is from the Serene Scenery Pack, and the
Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder makes the neat background for the pumpkin.   The Linen Thread and Burlap Ribbon add just enough of a finishing touch.

So while not traditional Halloween per se, it works for a Halloween birthday card-makes it about her birthday and not just Halloween! Happy birthday Melissa!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Welcome back! We are
Coloring Down the Lines
on our little blog hop once again! This month we are trying something a bit different. We are not limited to specific colors, but more a color scheme with a theme! I'm loving it!  Lots more options!!!!

Well things that don't change is you are probably hopping from Helen's blog and gonna hop on over to Lizzy's blog!!! I've said before how much I love being the bologna in their sandwich! lol

So here's this week's card:

Here is the photo for inspiration:

Now I know I could've gone all out with trees & leaves & such. But see, I'm not really a fall person! I nearly had a breakdown when we covered the pool last weekend! lol

So I decided to keep it simple & use one of my fave stamp sets from the Annual Catalog-Vertical Greetings!   This stamp set was sitting on my desk saying, "Stamp with ME" so I did!  I used some Stampin' Write Markers to add the fall colors.

The background paper is from the Serene Scenery DSP Paper Stack! Sooooo love that stack of paper! Altho this is the first time I actually used the back of any of it! The front is so pretty!!!

Finished it off with a bit of the Burlap Ribbon and some Linen Thread
Red Bakers Twine to add a bit of a pop.

Fall actually begins this week so maybe next week I'll be more "there", but right now, I wanna enjoy the last couple of days of actual summer. This card is "gently fall"! I'm easing in!

PAPER PLUNGING WITH RIBBON

This week over at The Paper Plunge we are working with ribbon! Now there are so many different things you can do with ribbon! I've been wanting to do a specific card for awhile & thought this would be a great way to show off some ribbon!!!

So here's the card:

It's called a "Petal" card! The ribbon on this one is used not only for embellishment, but also for a belly band!!!

There are 3 types of ribbon on this card.

The first, the belly band, is made from our 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon. Love that stuff! The little bow is made from the Lost Lagoon Satin Ribbon. Did you find the 3rd? Yup, it's the Linen Thread in the Very Vintage Designer button!!!

So when you remove the belly band, you have a card that looks like this:

The beautiful paper is from the Moonlight DSP Stack in our Annual Catalog!

Now open it up:

Cool right?? The sentiment is stamped using Starburst Sayings, and the whole think is cut out using either the Circle Framelits or the Starburst Framelits!  Love my framelits!!! lol

So hop on over the The Paper Plunge & see what the other designers have created for you with ribbon! I know you'll be pleased & get some good ideas!!!

Happy Stampin!!!
