COLORING DOWN THE LINES

So this week on the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
we are thinking "summer"! Thank goodness because here in New England it seems as tho the only we we are ever gonna see summer is to "think it"!!! Cold, rainy, raw. Blah!

Before me this week is Amanda!!!! After me is Lizzy! Be sure to visit their blogs! And don't forget to hop over to Robbie's too!

So here's my card:

And Robbie's inspiration photo:

This is totally what summer is to me! Ocean! Beach!  This fun little stamp set
A Day at the Beach is from the Occasions Catalog-soon to be gone! This one is one that will live in my stash forever! I love anything beach! And the sun, flip flops & sunglasses seem to tell that story! Hard to see but there's a bit of bling on the side of the sunglasses-of course!! lol

The Seaside embossing folder is the perfect "beach/wave" folder! The pics were colored with the Watercolor Pencils & Blender Pen. Soft & easy-for summer!  The sentiment is from the brand new Colorful Seasons in the brand new
Annual Catalog-SOON TO BE LIVE!! Can't wait!!!!  Lots of fun to play with there!!!

So I hope i gave u a touch of summer. I so need it! Pray we get some here in New England so I don't grow moss on my frigid body! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Hey there! This week on
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
we are creating shape cards!!! Haven't done this in awhile so kinda excited to share! This week's card combines the old with the new!

So today you're hopping FROM Robbie to me, the after me TO Lizzy!  Small group this week! But amazing nonetheless!

So here's my card:

Here is Robbie's inspiration photo:

So I have to admit, I couldn't wait to use some of my new goodies from the brandy new Annual Catalog!!!! It goes live so soon!!! But these In-Colors-yowza!!!!!!

So my shape is round-obviously!!! lol I pulled out some of my old retired    Circle Framelits for this one. I love the big scallop-edge circle for a shape card! Gotta admit-not the first time I've done this! lol

Now, the colors!!!! Yes, 2 of the new In-Colors-Berry Burst &              Lemon-Lime Twist! So pretty!!!!!  The DSP peeking out is from the new   Color Theory Series Paper Stack! Perfect for the generic cards!

What is that flower you ask? Well let me tell you! It's from the Daisy Delight stamp set punched out with the coordinating Daisy Punch!  Awesome right?? The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set!!! New & fun!!!!!

So hope you enjoyed this simple little card! I kept it simple so you could actually get a good look at the stamp sets! So glad I finally got to play with my new goodies!!! Can't wait to play some more!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

This week on the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
we are saying goodbye to our favorite embossing folders that will be retiring the end of the month! So sad to see any of them go!!

But first, check out all our blogs! Helen's blog is before mine & Lizzy's is after me!!! Then keep hopping! Lots of ideas! The folders may be retiring, but they still work just fine!!! So while the new catalog leaves them out, I know I won't!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So this is a very simple card to highlight the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I so can't believe they are retiring it!!! It's a pretty popular  folder! Oh well. I know they'll come up with something equally as lovely!!!! But it's still one of my faves!

I also used the retiring 15-17 In-Colors. I so love this Cucumber Crush! I thought the green worked well with the little frog!

Which brings me to the retiring Hostess stamp set Luv ya Lots!  This little frog is so cute, as are the other little critters in the set. The elephant-luv!!!!!!

It is finished off with the Metallic Ribbon Combo (from the Holiday Catalog) and the Oval Layering Framelits-NOT retiring!! Cute, simple little card!!!

I just got my pre-order from the new Annual Catalog!!! Whoa!!! So cool!!!!!! I can't wait to share the new In-Colors with you!!! Super pretty!!!!!! The DSP is the best yet, and the stamp sets are so nice!!!! I also have catalogs!!! If you would like one, please let me know!!! They are here for you!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

This week on
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
we are once again visiting our retiring products. We are always so sad to see some favorites go, but happy to welcome in some newbies!

So before me is Helen's blog. And after me is Lizzy's blog.  Be sure to check to see what they will be missing!!!

So here's my card:

And Robbie's inspiration photo:
So this is probably the hardest stamp set for me to let go-Pineapple. For a lot of reasons, this is close to my heart! I have used it throughout the year for so many different projects.  It's not a fancy stamp set-in fact it only has 1 stamp in it!  But what a beauty. And the significance of the pineapple is so special-welcome to all.

I also used another sadly retiring set for the sentiment-Crazy About You. Why on earth they'd retire that one I have no idea! Such a versatile set with so many perfect sayings for just about any occasion!!!  My set is so used!!! lol

I also used the retiring In-Colors on this card.  I will miss them as I miss the In-Colors every year! But wait until you see the new ones!!! Ooh la la!!!

So bye bye Pineapple & Crazy About You! You will both be terribly missed by me!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

So here's my card:

Here's Robbie's inspiration photo:

So the is the Succulent Garden Suite! I have no idea how they choose which sets to retire, because this one has been a big hit!!! I just love it's versatility!!

Working today with my current favorite SU color-Sweet Sugarplum!!! It just jumps out at me at the moment! lol

Today's card is just a simple creation with one of the beautiful flowers u can make with the Succulent Framelits Dies!!! So pretty!!!

The background DSP is the beautiful Succulent Garden DSP.  The       Succulent Garden 3/8" Ribbon Combo pack finishes off the                  Burlap Ribbon on there!!! So simple yet so pretty!!!!

All these items can be found in the 2017 Occasions Catalog by the way! But hurry! They won't be around for long! Boohoo!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hey all! Miss me?? Fresh of a 2-week family vacation to Hawaii! Then home to a blizzard! Ugh! Trying hard to get back on track! Just wanna be back on the beach tho! lol But anyway, I'm baaacckkkk!!!!

This week's card was stressful for me! lol You'll find out why below!
So hello again to hoppers from Helen's blog! I missed you!  When you head on to Lizzy's blog tell her I said hi!!!

Ok, so this week's challenge! We were to CASE (basically copy! lol) a card from the person behind us in this hop! Well clearly that's Helen! But I consider Helen one of my favorite card makers! I have always loved her designs! She is clean & simple for the most part, but really creative! She knows how to really feature a stamp set!

Here's what I came up with (be gentle!):

So I went with one of her ore simple designs, because I felt I could do it justice! lol  This is a "copy" of her card from Wednesday, March 1. Check out her blog to see it!

I didn't have the Avant Garden stamp set, so I used the Oh So Succulent stamp set. It's similar. It's a nice 1-layer card.

Now Helen used some Silver Card Stock to matte the main art image.  I didn't have any Silver handy, so I used Smoky Slate.  I also added a piece of Succulent Garden Sweet Sugarplum 1/8" Ribbon for a "pop"  Hers didn't need it. But I think mine did. I did finish it off with a bit of Wink of Stella, but I have a hard time getting it to show in a photo! Trust me-it's there! lol

Either way, it's a pretty birthday card. Thanx Helen for the idea, and the beautiful work you do!!!

Happy Stampin'!

Coloring Down the Lines
we are featuring our favorite techniques!

If you are hopping with us, you probably arrived from Helen's blog!! Be sure to continue on to Lizzy's blog, then keep going! Join our hop all the way around!!!

So here's my card:

Here's Robbie's inspiration photo:

So I went through all the wonderful techniques I've learned in my many, many years of stamping. Which was my favorite? That's a tough one, but I really ended up going with my "go-to", which to me would indicate a favorite! Watercoloring! Not a fancy schmancy technique-just a plain & simple yet fun & effective technique!

I chose one of our beautiful new stamp sets to feature the watercoloring technique. It's the Beautiful You stamp set.   When I first saw it I was like meh! But now it's one of my faves!!! So pretty!

Here's another example of watercoloring with this stamp set.

I saw a similar card somewhere so I decided to put my own take on it! Just a different experiment with the Watercolor Pencils & the Blender Pens on the Watercolor Paper. Fun.

Materials used in these 2 cards include: Beautiful You stamp set,   Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Pop of Pink DSP, Falling Petals Textured Embossing Folder, Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (from
Sale-a-bration Catalog), embellishments from My Paper Pumpkin,
Pearls Perfect Jewels, Pop of Pink Washi Tape

Enjoy!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES BLOG HOP

Hello there!!! Welcome to February!!! Lots of fun here on our
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
this month!!!  We start off with Projects!

So before me in the hop is Helen!!! Following me is Lizzy!!! Make sure to keep hopping & visit our other hop-mates! Such cool ideas here!!!

Here's my project:

And Robbie's direction sheet:

So this was a tough one for me. I'm really a card girl! I'm not so much into the cutesie little bags & boxes & such. I mean they're awesome & fun to get & look at. But I'm just not one to send or give them! So I had to dig into my stash of ideas for this week!!

This is a treat that was around a few years ago. I forget what its called, but I call it the Flippin' Tag Card!!! lol  I figured I'd whip it up as a Valentine's treat for my club girls to make this week! It's a fun project without being too elaborate! Ya just pull up that tag & viola! A special tag treat awaits!

This one uses a lot of my Valentines Day goodies! The stamp set used is
Sealed with Love. There's some Silver Glimmer Paper in there too. Other supplies used are the Sweetheart Punch, Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack, Happy Heart TEIF, and Silver Embossing Powder.

Hope this inspired you! If you'd like to learn how to make one of these cards, let me know! I'd love to do a class for a few of your friends!!! Plus, it's still Sale-a-Bration time so you could earn some amazing free stuff!!!!!

Happy Stampin'

COLORING DOWN THE LINES-NO HEART!

Hey all! So our challenge this week on the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
I thought was going to put me over the edge! lol It turned out to be one of my faves!!!

First, I'm glad you're here! Helen's amazing blog is before mine in the hop, and Sandy's loveliness follows mine! Please be sure to hop all the way through & check them out! Comments always welcome!

So this week's challenge was to create a Valentine's Day card without using hearts! Wait-What? Well this really forced me to check out my stamp sets to see what I could do!!! I love that! I actually found several that would work perfectly for Valentine's Day that I never considered!!!  I love how this came out!

Here's the card:

And Robbie's instructions:

So this was kind of fun! I first have to say I'm thrilled that Stampin' Up! continued the Red Glitter Embossing Powder from the Holiday Catalog! I've used it more for Valentine's Day than for Christmas! lol  It is currently an addiction!

For this card, I used the Balloon Celebrations stamp set! With all the holidays, I haven't visited my regulars for a bit! Nice to see them again!  The words & lips are from the Sealed with Love stamp set! This is in our current
Occasions Catalog! Such an awesome set!  I backed the balloons with the beautiful Sending Love DSP, and embellished with the
Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack.  It's actually a very simple card, but I love how it came out! Valentines with no heart! lol Doesn't sound right does it?!

So I'm so anxious to see what my hop-mates come up with!!! Tomorrow more Sending Love DSP in our Product Spotlight!!!  Hope you enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Here we are beginning our Valentine's Day Celebrations at
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!!!
Didn't we just finish Christmas?? LOL

Welcome hoppers from Helen's blog!!!! Keep hopping to Lizzy's place when you are finished here-then keep going!!!! Enjoy!!!

This week our Valentine Card can NOT have red or pink!!! Hmmm??? Tough one? You'll see some beauties here!!!

Here's my card:

And our inspiration:

So I started with my Affectionately Yours DSP. This is one of my all-time paper packs! I just think these colors are beautiful!!!!  Then I pulled out the Blossoms Punch & started punching away!!!! I just thought a flower heart was unique. Haven't seen one out there!

The sentiment is from the January My Paper Pumpkin kit! Just got it! And it's punch out with the Sweetheart Punch!  Added some of the
Sending Love Embellishments & Night of Navy Baker's Twine & voila! Valentine with no red or pink!! Well, the Watermelon Wonder is sorta pinkish, but it's definitely not the focus of the card, so I'm ok with that! Plus, it's not really pink! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

We are in our last real week ( I hope! lol) of winter loving' here at the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
I'm so over winter already, & it really just started!!! This week we are once again looking at shades of blue with a snow theme, but the kicker is we need to use an embossing folder that is not Softly Falling! That's a tough one because that's a perfect folder for snow! lol

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog! Make sure you keep hopping on to
Lizzy's blog to get some great snowy ideas!!! And keep going! Perfect for the snow days that are bound to keep us stampin' in the near future! Ugh!

Here's my snowy card this week:

So the folder I chose to use is the Woodlands Embossing Folder!  It always reminds me of a walk through the woods-whatever the weather! But right now my woods look very white having just had an 8" snowfall. Nothing for us New Englanders, but it's still pretty white!

Now I don't like how the bottom of this photographed. I tried so many photos to get the sparkle to show up! The Dazzling Diamonds Glitter doesn't really pop as nicely in the picture. But in real life it truly looks like glittering snow!

The stamp sets used are the snowflakes from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set and the sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set.  Sentiment was cut out using
Lots of Labels Framelits!

The beautiful ribbon is from the new Occasions Catalog. It's from the
3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo 2-pack! The other one has pretty gold in it! Great ribbon!!

So I hope you felt snowy today! I'm so not a fan of snow & very much looking forward to spring!! But this snowy card warmed my heart!  Hope it did yours too!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!

Happy New Year! And welcome to our first
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
of 2017!! I can't believe Christmas is over & it's already January 4!!! Yikes!!!

This week we are using blues with snow and a pop of bling!!! You may have noticed that if you came here from Helen's blog! You'll see more great stuffs if you continue on to Lizzy's blog & beyond!!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So trying to do this card without making it a Christmas card was a bit challenging! Especially after making Christmas cards almost exclusively during December! lol But I thought this worked as a nice thank you card for the Christmas or Hanukkah gifts! Appropriate, right?

I decided to revisit an old technique that I loved back in the day. It's called the Brick Wall Technique! I changed it a bit here from the old way though.

So here's the story! I used my Brick Folder Embossing Folder and created "lines" like a brick wall on my embossed and sponged cardstock.  Then I cut along those lines and placed them like a brick wall! Easy peasy, but I think it looks cool!!!

My bling here is the white Heat embossing of the beautiful snowflakes from Flurry of Wishes!!! If you look very closely, you can see the little
Metallic Embellishment stars in the center of the big snowflakes. Usually the camera picks up the shine, but I couldn't get it to happen this time. When you see it in person though, there is a nice shimmer there!

Materials used besides the stamp set, and those listed are the
Dapper Denim Rouched Ribbon, Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment, Snowflake Builder Punch, VersaMark & Dapper Denim Ink Pads!

Hope you enjoyed and that the only snow you see is that here on our hop! I'm not a winter girl!!! lol

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Well here we are-our last
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
of the year!!! Also our last week of Silver and Gold!!! I'm loving my card this week!!!

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog!  Happy New Years to you all! And also to those in Lizzie's blog, where you will go after this one!!! Yikes! 2017!!

Here's this week's bling:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So I had fun with this card & really LOVE how it came out!!! It's one of those cards ya make but never wanna send! lol  I know some of you get that! lol

I used my Gold Glimmer Paper, Gold Metallic Paper and
Metallic Foil Doilies to create "champagne bubbles"! Pulled out all the gold for this one!! Cool right?  The stamp set is one of my all-time favorites,
Mixed Drinks!!!!  Even the ribbon has gold-its the Natural Trim!!!

I just simply used lots of Circle Punches for this one!! Bubbles bubbles bubbles!!   And paper-saver note: if you were to lift up the top layer, you would see holes in the Glimmer Paper!! Paper conservation-my motto!!! lol

The background is accentuated with the
Large Polka Dots Embossing Folder-keeping it round! And lastly, the "champagne" is simply Gold Wink of Stella!!! Such a fun card to make!!!!

As this is the last day in this hop for 2016, I just want to wish everyone a blessed, happy & healthy 2017!! May it be filled with fun, family, good health and lots of stamping!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

It's our last
Coloring Down the Lines
blog hop before the "big day"!!!!  Boy I need to finish my shopping! lol  We are continuing with our Silver and Gold theme this month!!! Perfect for the Holiday feel!!!

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog!!!! Merry Christmas to you all!!!! And as you travel on to Lizzy's blog, I hope you all have a spectacular holiday!!!!!

Here's my "bling" this week:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So this is just a simple snowflake card! lol  It's hard to tell in the picture, but the snowflakes are heat embossed with Silver embossing powder & super shiny! And guess what I discovered? If you stamp lightly with the  Smoky Slate ink, it looks more silver than gray!!!

The beautiful snowflakes are from Flurry of Wishes stamp set! Such a pretty set. The largest of the flakes is punched out with the coordinating
Flower Medallion Punch, and the 2 smaller ones punched out with the
Snow Flurry Punch.  I so love how Stampin' Up! makes everything coordinating!!! Makes my life so much easier! lol

The only real embellishment on this card is some beautiful
Silver 1/8" Ribbon.  The little red dots are simple little circles punched from Cherry Cobbler card stock.  It needed some color. I will admit that after  I photographed it, I went back and added a couple of silver Metallic Sequins for excitement. Not necessary, but I just wanted to! lol

I am having so much fun creating with my new goodies from the brand new Occasions Catalog & Sale-a-Bration Catalog that go live January 4!!! I can't wait to share with you!!!! But not yet! Still in holiday mode  & enjoying my goodies from the Holiday Catalog. They'll be gone soon! :(

So hope you likey! And seeing as this is the last blog hop before the holiday, I would love to wish you all a safe, happy and very Merry Christmas, and to my friends of the Jewish faith, a wonderful Season of Lights/Happy Hanukkah!  May your holidays be filled with family, fun, friends, love and magic!!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Here we are in another week of Silver & Gold
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!
Lots of Holiday bling here!!

Welcome from Helen's blog!!! Next hop on over to Lizzy's place!!! It'll be a "blingy" experience!!!

So here's my card this week:

And our inspiration photo:

More Christmas look this week! I LOVE this Pine Bough Embossing Folder & I'm so sad it's retiring! It makes for such an easy but beautiful card!!  And wow, on the Silver Foil Sheet?! Amazing!!!!!!

The only stamping on this is the sentiment. It's from the Tin of Tags stamp set. I wanted a different shape just because. So I tried (and it worked!) the
Paisley Framelits! I think I'll use this again! Love how it came out!

Wanted just a pop of color from the Pine Boughs Framelits! Round it all off with some Rouched Ribbon and some Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine & it's a pretty simple yet elegant card!!!

This will also be my first day of my
"Annual 12 Cards of Christmas"!!!!
One per day until the big day!!! So be sure to watch back & enjoy some fun cards filled with Christmas cheer!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Welcome to the first week of December's
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop!!! This month we are all about glitz & glam! Our cards will have silver and/or gold!!! Love the bling idea!!! Thanx Robbie!!!

So you're hopping here from Helen's blog!! Love her sparkle!!! After here, head to Sandy's blog! Nice to have her hopping this week!!!

So here's my card:

Here's our inspiration:

So you say Gold I'm going Gold!!! I've had this design in mind for awhile. Not sure why it came to me! lol It's a bit flashy, but I love how it turned out!!!! In the photo, the Glimmer Paper looks like snow!!! lol

So my gold here is from the amazing Gold Glimmer Paper!!! I also used the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper for the snowman! Can u say sparkle!!! lol

The additions to the snowman & the banners were made with Pink Flamingo and Candy Candy Lane Washi Tape.  Just to let ya know, the black washi has bits of gold in it!!! lol

So I simply used circle punches & created the snowman! Simple!  The letters are from the Labeler Alphabet stamp set! I don't know what I'll do if they retire this one!!!

All finished off with Black & Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine.  I will say, it helps to add a bit of the Tombo Multi glue under the washi when working with washi on Glimmer paper! Helps it all stick!

So hope you enjoyed! I'm working on more silver & gold for next week!!!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Here we are-our last
Coloring Down the Lines
Blog Hop of November! Wow! Where did the month go??? Well we are happy to share one more week of thanks with you! Then on to the big show!!!

You've probably arrived here from Helen's happenin' blog! When you are through hop over to Lizzy's blog for some thankful cheer!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So this was just a fun card to use some items I haven't brought out in awhile. I wanted to use my Swirly Scribbles Framelits. Haven't seen them in awhile! There is a stamp set to go with, but I didn't use it here!

You may recognize the 15-17 In-Colors here! Strawberry Slush, Cucumber Crush & Tip-Top Taupe! It was a dreary day when I created this so I wanted something bright to cheer things up!

The beautiful background is from the Affectionately Yours DSP. The only embellishments are the Burlap Ribbon, Natural Twine & Pearl Basic Jewels.  The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set!

So just a fun card this week! Next week we begin the month of December! And you can probably guess what we will be featuring then!!! Can I just say-BLING!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

Happy Stampin'!
