BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET-SYMPATHY CARDS

I have needed way too many sympathy cards lately! I decided to make a few different ones to have on hand!

These are all made with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set!

Here's the first:

This one I used the Bouquet Bunch Framelits to cut out the flower details. The beautiful backgrounds the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing folder!   This one is very simple-I made several!

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings. The ribbon is the
Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain ribbon.  I did have a couple of extra sequins from an old Paper Pumpkin kit! They matched perfectly!!!

Here are the 2nd & 3rd:

Both cards are made from the same stamp set & framelits! Amazing how 1 stamp set can make such different cards!  These are almost the same, but I used a little different placement with the ribbon. The DSP is from the
Wood Textures 6x6 DSP Pack. It's from the same piece reversed. Which one do you like best? Did you even notice the difference? lol

The ovals are from the Stitched Frame set & the Layering Ovals Framelit pack.

I pulled out the retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. While I love the new one, this one will always be close by for sentiments! They just "fit" anywhere!!!  The rouched ribbon was from the last catalog. Retired but the color is still current. Yes, I do use up my retired materials! lol

So same sentiment, same stamp set, 2 very different styles! I love this bundle! You can get it HERE!!!!

Use the Hostess Code UKXWUT4B  when ordering!!!  And pray I don't need any more sympathy cards too soon! Geesh!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!

Happy New Year! And welcome to our first
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
of 2017!! I can't believe Christmas is over & it's already January 4!!! Yikes!!!

This week we are using blues with snow and a pop of bling!!! You may have noticed that if you came here from Helen's blog! You'll see more great stuffs if you continue on to Lizzy's blog & beyond!!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

So trying to do this card without making it a Christmas card was a bit challenging! Especially after making Christmas cards almost exclusively during December! lol But I thought this worked as a nice thank you card for the Christmas or Hanukkah gifts! Appropriate, right?

I decided to revisit an old technique that I loved back in the day. It's called the Brick Wall Technique! I changed it a bit here from the old way though.

So here's the story! I used my Brick Folder Embossing Folder and created "lines" like a brick wall on my embossed and sponged cardstock.  Then I cut along those lines and placed them like a brick wall! Easy peasy, but I think it looks cool!!!

My bling here is the white Heat embossing of the beautiful snowflakes from Flurry of Wishes!!! If you look very closely, you can see the little
Metallic Embellishment stars in the center of the big snowflakes. Usually the camera picks up the shine, but I couldn't get it to happen this time. When you see it in person though, there is a nice shimmer there!

Materials used besides the stamp set, and those listed are the
Dapper Denim Rouched Ribbon, Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment, Snowflake Builder Punch, VersaMark & Dapper Denim Ink Pads!

Hope you enjoyed and that the only snow you see is that here on our hop! I'm not a winter girl!!! lol

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello all! It's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop time!!! This week's colors were brought to you by Liz!!! Pretty combo!!!!

So you're hopping here from Helen's blog? That's cool!!! I know she has something spectacular for you!! After you're through here, hop on over to
Liz's blog!! I can't wait to see what she did with this week's colors as she chose them! I KNOW it'll be awesome!!!

So here is the Design Seed inspiration:

Here are the MDS colors:
Here is my creation:

I never thought of the Crisp Cantalope  and Tangerine Tango together. I like the look!

I couldn't decide what to do with these colors so I took a good look through my stamp sets to see what I haven't used in awhile. And lo & behold, I spotted Wildflower Meadow! I love this stamp set, but haven't used it in awhile. So many new ones!! This is a nice set because it has its own matching embossing folder!

It has flowers on the top, but I wanted to bring them out & make them pop. So I went to the Flower Shop to get a couple of sweet flowers!!!
The
Pansy Punch pops them out with ease!!! The little ones are punched with the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch

The Word Window/Modern Label punch tag-team is my fave go-to with Teeny Tiny Wishes for  sentiment! Quick & easy & the go-to for a nice little added touch!

So hope you enjoyed! Now keep going to Liz's & all the way through! Enjoy! Oh, and be sure to leave a comment!

Happy Stampin'!!

MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I know it's next week, but maybe you need a card!! I just wanted to share what  my Stamp Club will be making this weekend!!!
It's a very pretty Tangerine Tango card & bookmark made with the beautiful  Watercolor Wonder DSP from the Occasions Catalog!!! This paper is gorgeous!! Too bad it won't be around for long tho! I know for a fact that it is not carrying over to the new catalog! When it's gone, it's gone! You only have 1 more month to get yours!  So many pretty designs!!!! I designed this one for one of my customers who is getting it as a surprise for Mother's Day! Maybe it's you!!!!!

It's not a difficult card, but it packs quite a punch! So much so that I even entered it into a challenge this week!! My friends over at Can You Case It? challenged us with a Mother's Day card.  You should pop on over! They have some fun designs on there & some great ideas for you own Mother's Day card! PLUS, you can vote for MY card!!!! :) Voting begins Sunday at 6:00 am! Be sure to set your clocks! ;)

And just the card:

FYI the Large Basic Pearl is on the Retired List. Still available as of now, but who knows for how long! The "retirees" are dwindling quickly!!!
So just a fun share! Hope you like!

IT'S "TEMPTING" TO COLOR DOWN THE LINES!!!

So did you figure it out? Yup! This week's color is Tempting Turquoise!!!
It's a very small Coloring Down the Lines blog hop this week! But there's still awesome stuff to see!
Hello to the hoppers from Helen's blog! Hope you had fun over there! I love hers this week! Well, every week!

So here are the colors this week:
Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Tangarine Tango
  OR
Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpin Pie

I decided to try a new technique! Here it is!

So I went with the "masking tape" technique. I actually used painter's tape though! Less sticky! It's a very easy technique & packs quite a punch! It's a little heavier than I'd hoped for on this one, but it makes the colors nice & vivid! It's such a big deal for me to use a white background! I just like color! What can I say?!

I used a Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog too! It's Wishing You! The sentiment may be familiar from Teeny Tiny Wishes! I think that's probably my most-used stamp set! There's a teeny tiny bit of Crystal Effects on the center of that middle package! Here's the closeup Mr. DeMille!

So short & sweet this week! It's late! I finally got my new camera, but now trying to make it work! It's dark as I post this & didn't get to take the picture in the best of lighting! It's nice & clear though! Much better than the older one! At least I hope it will be once I figure it out!! lol

So keep hopping now over to Robbie's blog! She's the beginning & our "fearless leader"!!! Notice how she always matches her envelopes! I love that!!!

Happy Stampin'!

FLUTTER BY BUTTERFLY!

So as demonstrators, we get a magazine every 2 months with some AMAZING ideas & technique trainings, etc!!! It's called Stampin' Success! I wait so anxiously each time I know it's on its way!!!

A lot of what you see actually comes from ideas from the magazine!

This card is a CASE from the last edition of Stampin' Success that we received:

This was a great way to use up some of my favorite retiring colors.  It makes just a pretty card! Simple, but effective!!! You can use just about any sentiment you'd like with it! Very versatile!!! I simply used Papillion Potpourri stamp set & the Large & Small Butterfly Punches! The sentiment is from the must-have go-to Teeny Tiny Wishes!!!

So our next Stampin' Success comes to us early in June, and I understand it includes a sneak peek to something we are all waiting for!!!! See, yet another advantage to being a demonstrator!!! Can't tell tho! You'll just have to be patient!!!

So hope you enjoy!!! It's a "just because" post today!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

THE COLOR PURPLE

Welcome to another week of Coloring Down the Lines!! This week we are going purple-Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant!

You've probably hopped over from Helen's blog!! Glad you're here!!! Hope I can live up to her beautiful creation!!!

So these 2 colors are kinda tricky! They're VERY close!!! So here's my card this week!

I decided it's never too early to start on Mother's Day!!! So I'm into this new style of card! Just a base with a little 3x3 card attached!!! I think it's fun & different! I've given several of these & they seem to draw very positive reactions!!

I know its hard to tell in the pic, but the base and flower is Perfect Plum. The 3x3 card base is Elegant Eggplant. The stamping is also done with the Elegant Eggplant.  I tried to enhance it with my photo editing program because the 2 colors didn't really contrast in the photo! Hope you can see them here!!

I used my Secret Garden stamp set & Framelits! A  little watercoloring happenin' on the Whisper White.  I also used the brand new
Designer Typeset Photopolymer stamp set for the banner & the letters MOM!!! This is a great new product from Stampin' Up!! You can order them now! Hopefully there'll be more like them in the new catalog! Super sticky on the blocks & so easy to place. Be sure not to confuse them with the acrylic stamps! They're 2 different animals!!!!

Here's a close up of that flower!

And the inside!!!

Fun, huh? Like I said, different but packs a punch! Plenty of room for a simple sentiment and note.

Gotta love that Teeny Tiny Wishes!!! I think that's probably one of my most used stamp sets!!!

So please go visit Liz at her blog & tell her I said hi!!! Can't wait to see her creation!!!

Until next time!!!

Happy Stampin!!!
