COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Happy Wednesday! It has finally stopped raining here in Massachusetts! Still hoping for a bigger warm up, but the weather dudes say it's coming! We shall see!

Anyway, here we are again at
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!!
It's gonna be a great week!  Before me this week is Helen! So glad she's feeling better! After me is Liz! Gonna be something amazing there!!! Be sure to hop all the way around!!! We are small but powerful!!! lol

So here's my card:

Here's this week's inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
Thank you again to our leader Robbie for keeping us in living colors!!!!

So this is a fairly simple card this week! Only 2 stamp sets-Summer Silhouettes & B.Y.O.P.  These colors to me are beautiful together, but I couldn't find an inspiration! So I just grabbed a stamp set & went to work! Fortunately, both these stamp sets can still be purchased in our brandy new ANNUAL CATALOG available NOW!!!! So exciting!!!!

Of course if you visit here frequently you know there'll more than likely be some bling! Luvs me my bling!!! Dazzling Details does it here!

I do love the pop the Tangerine Tango added to these colors! It's kind of hard to tell, but the background is Smoky Slate. Didn't photograph too "gray" here! But really-it is!!! lol

So now go visit Miss Lizzy & keep going! Then when you are done hop over to the new 2015-2016 ANNUAL CATALOG!!  So excited to be able to share it with you FINALLY!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Welcome to the April 2015 edition of the
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!

Well it may be a bit early for Mother's Day celebrations, but it's not too early to begin your Mother's Day projects!!! It's April 1!! Only a month to get those supplies & create!!! You will find some great inspiration from the talented ladies on this blog hop!!!

Here is my card for Mother's Day:

These colors ended up together by accident, but I love the look! They are Blackberry Bliss & Tempting Turquoise

In keeping with my CAS style, I wanted something simple yet elegant.  The image is from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  The little flowers in the background are from the Summer Silhouettes, and the sentiment is from Crazy About You!

The stamp was colored with markers, & the bling is Dazzling Diamonds glitter! It adds such a pretty pop to the flowers. I was thinking hydrangeas! Hard to think flowers at all with the cold weather we are having. All my spring flowers are under 1-2 feet of snow still. Sad. I wish spring would get here.

Oh well! I did make sure the inside was pretty too. Just in case the weather is still cold in May! It may help warm up the situation!

Other items used are the Window Frames Framelits, Circle Framelits, & 1/4" Ribbon.

Now go  hop on over to StampingTammy's blog & see what she has to share with you! Like a card on the hop? Pin it! Be sure to leave a comment & let everyone know that you loved their creation! Just click on the image below to go to Tammy's blog! Keep going!!!

If you are a regular to our ICS Blog Hop, you will see some new blogs! I'd like to welcome our newbies-in particular, my friend Amanda over at MyCraftyPlaydate!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stampin'!!!

MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I know it's next week, but maybe you need a card!! I just wanted to share what  my Stamp Club will be making this weekend!!!
It's a very pretty Tangerine Tango card & bookmark made with the beautiful  Watercolor Wonder DSP from the Occasions Catalog!!! This paper is gorgeous!! Too bad it won't be around for long tho! I know for a fact that it is not carrying over to the new catalog! When it's gone, it's gone! You only have 1 more month to get yours!  So many pretty designs!!!! I designed this one for one of my customers who is getting it as a surprise for Mother's Day! Maybe it's you!!!!!

It's not a difficult card, but it packs quite a punch! So much so that I even entered it into a challenge this week!! My friends over at Can You Case It? challenged us with a Mother's Day card.  You should pop on over! They have some fun designs on there & some great ideas for you own Mother's Day card! PLUS, you can vote for MY card!!!! :) Voting begins Sunday at 6:00 am! Be sure to set your clocks! ;)

And just the card:

FYI the Large Basic Pearl is on the Retired List. Still available as of now, but who knows for how long! The "retirees" are dwindling quickly!!!
So just a fun share! Hope you like!

Happy Stampin'!

PISTACHIO COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello again! Happy Dog Days of Summer-at least here in New England! Hazy, hot & humid! While everyone is complaining about the weather, I'm reveling in it!! Love it! We have it for a "blink"/year!!!!

So if you're blog hopping here from Helen's blog, I'm happy to see you!!  Luvin' her card this time!!! Well, I always love her cards!!! lol

So this week's Coloring Down the Lines colors are
Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe
                     or
Pistachio Pudding, Smokey Slate, Strawberry Slush

We are winding down with the new In-Colors! But I really love this Pistachio Pudding color! At first, I thought it was kinda blah. But now that I see it paired with the other colors, it's the perfect accent to just about any card!

Here's this week's creation:

The colors actually shout out to me "sherbert"!! lol I think ice cream, but I didn't go the ice cream route! Now I challenged myself this week to not even use Whisper White cardstock anywhere-just the 3 colors. I usually like to stamp on the Whisper White or Very Vanilla to make the stamped image pop, but I think it works on the Smoky Slate! What a pretty gray that is!

sketch for inspiration.  Stamp set is Summer Silhouettes & the greeting is from Sweet Essentials! An understated set that you can now order for 25% off!!!
The Fancy Fan folder is the embossing in the back. I finally opened my Delicate Details Lace Tape, & boy do I wish I hadn't!!! I LOVE it!! I'll have to be buying plenty of this now!! You can color right on it to make it different colors. I stuck with the white to keep the accent going.

In this close up the Smoky Slate looks very metallicy silver! Nope.  Now I stamped the flower images in Pistachio Pudding & Strawberry Slush, & I thought it looked good as is. But I added the White Uniball Gel Pen to make the image pop. Add the white heat-embossed sentiment & voila!!! I think it's a very pretty card!! I think it shows pretty well in the close up!!!

Now head on over to Liz's happy blog home & check out her lovely card!! I'll see you there!!! You bring the coffee!!

Next week you will be seeing all kinds of convention treats! I leave Tuesday night for a week of fun!! Right now I am working feverishly to get all my swaps done & everything ready for the trip!!! Good stuff!!!

So until next time!
Happy Stampin'!!!

MOJO MONDAY 252

I finally got a chance to sit down & play with my new toys! Here's the card I made for the Mojo Monday sketch! If you look back to Monday's post, you can see the sketch!

I really love the new DSP "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" from the Holiday Mini! But I wanted to try it for something other than Halloween! It has a lot more uses!

Well, this chevron pattern really tickles my fancy! This uses one of my stamp sets from convention Daydream Medallions and Summer Silhouettes! The sentiment is the very fun & versatile Sassy Salutations! The colors are Natural White, Tangerine Tango & Midnight Muse!

The ribbon is some retired Tangerine Tango that I had lying around! Works perfectly for this card!

And lastly, I used the 2-1/2" circle punch & 2-3/8" scallop circle punch. Oh, the little diamonds on the bottom of the Tangerine Tango are made with the 1" square punch! Wonder how I did that?? Hmmm! Think about it!

I made those crumbled up little flowers too! Kinda fun!

They actually look super cute on the card, and they are easy to make! I think they would be cute with some "bling" in the center. Maybe some of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels. But overall, I like the card! Kinda different!

Next week's Mojo Monday tomorrow!!!

Happy Stampin'!

SUMMER SILHOUETTES

The DIL Gina was over the other night after a long Saturday of "work" for a swim. So of course, now that I have brought her over to the "dark side" ( ;) ), she said, "MIL, can we make a card"?! Well of course I said, "heck ya"!!!
So she had a blast making some birthday cards for friends while I worked on my convention swaps!
Then we decided to make a card together. A good friend of ours just lost a very close friend to ALS-what a horrible disease that is.  We wanted to acknowledge our prayers & love for her with a card made from our hearts!
Here it is!

I just got a shipment the other day with this beautiful stamp set,
Summer Silhouettes! I saw those flowers & knew I had to have it!!! It's soooo pretty! Tons of stamps too!
We used the Natural White or a base, then the colors of choice were Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Gumball Green & Melon Mambo.

The paper is a scrap from Summer Smoochies

The pretty design behind the paper is actually a stamp from the set! Nice!

I "stippled" the tops of the blossoms with markers. Gina added the cute little yellow flowers for accent!

The ribbon is 1/4" Night of Navy grosgrain-ok, it's retired! But it goes perfectly with the card!

Oh, the final touch was some Dazzling Diamonds on the stipples just for accent. They don't really show up on the pic, but trust me, they're there!!!

The 2nd pic shows the envelope Gina stamped to match!

We have fun stamping together! She actually booked her first workshop for the end of July!!!

I can see lots of possibilities for this stamp set! It's very pretty!

That's today's card! Need any more details just let me know!

Happy Stampin'!
