ICS BLOG HOP-HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Welcome to the April 2015 edition of the
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!

Well it may be a bit early for Mother's Day celebrations, but it's not too early to begin your Mother's Day projects!!! It's April 1!! Only a month to get those supplies & create!!! You will find some great inspiration from the talented ladies on this blog hop!!!

Here is my card for Mother's Day:

These colors ended up together by accident, but I love the look! They are Blackberry Bliss & Tempting Turquoise

In keeping with my CAS style, I wanted something simple yet elegant.  The image is from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  The little flowers in the background are from the Summer Silhouettes, and the sentiment is from Crazy About You!

The stamp was colored with markers, & the bling is Dazzling Diamonds glitter! It adds such a pretty pop to the flowers. I was thinking hydrangeas! Hard to think flowers at all with the cold weather we are having. All my spring flowers are under 1-2 feet of snow still. Sad. I wish spring would get here.

Oh well! I did make sure the inside was pretty too. Just in case the weather is still cold in May! It may help warm up the situation!

Other items used are the Window Frames Framelits, Circle Framelits, & 1/4" Ribbon.

Now go  hop on over to StampingTammy's blog & see what she has to share with you! Like a card on the hop? Pin it! Be sure to leave a comment & let everyone know that you loved their creation! Just click on the image below to go to Tammy's blog! Keep going!!!

VERY VANILLA COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello again!!! This week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is Very Vanilla!!!  Our choices were Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Rose Red OR Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Not Quite Navy!!!  I chose the first just because!

You may be visiting back from Helen's blog! Welcome! I know her fantasmic card has you excited about hopping along!!

Here's what I came up with:

I used a retired stamp set for this one. I really like this one from Sale-A-Bration! Not naming it because you can't get it, bu any set will work for this. And just a hint, there's one in the new catalog that has a similar feel!!! ;)

I needed a "guy" card! Now I know the colors aren't traditionally "guy" colors, but this particular guy is not anything traditional!!! lol I know even the lace is a bit "eh" for a dude card, but there's a story there!!!

nyway, I kept this fairly simple with the Fancy Fan Textured Embossing Folder & the Window Frames Framelits! The Perfect Plum Satin ribbon is retiring, although I'm not really sure why! The color is sticking around! Hmm!
The embellishment is actually one of the Large Pearl Basic Jewels. It looks purple in the picture, but it isn't! Hmm again!!

So go hop on over to Sandy's blog & tell her I said hi!! I'm heading over so see you there!! I know we'll be so happy with her card!!!

Until next time...

Happy Stampin'!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES WITH ONLY 2 COLORS!

Ok, so I won't deny that this week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge was a real challenge!!! This week we were only given 2 colors!! Not even a choice of 2 colors!!! I don't think I do ANY crafts with only 2 colors!!! lol

So we had to come up with something pretty using Cajun Craze & Tangerine Tango! Now at first I thought, "what the heck"!!! Those 2 colors are soooo close together!!! But I did some serious thinking!!!

So anyway, welcome to those who traveled here from Helen's blog!! So glad you "hopped" on over!!! I hope you find my design as amazing as Helen's!!! She really can "color" it up, can't she?! :)

So here's what I came up with this week:

A nice CAS (clean & simple) card! I guess I'm finding my style!!
I used a Whisper White background mounted on Cajun Craze. I used the "negative" from a die cut, the Window Frames Collection framelits to be more specific, and sponged  (with my Sponge Daubers of course!) using 3 colors in the middle.

I used Daffodil Delight, then Tangerine Tango, then Cajun Craze! The flower, from what's becoming one of my fave stamp sets, Oh, Hello (from Spring Mini Catalog) is stamped using the Tangerine Tango marker & Garden Green marker for the color.

The little jewelry tags are Tangerine Tango with Cajun Craze images. The images are from the Tiny Tags stamp set & they are punched out with the Small Jewelry Tag punch!

The ribbon is the new Natural Trim Ribbon from the Spring Mini! I just LOVE this ribbon-really hoping it sticks around for awhile!!!

So not sure if I broke the rules or not by adding the Daffodil Delight, but I thought it needed a "pop"! I only used a little!!!

So I really like this card! I haven't used that sponging technique with the negative in awhile! It was a go-to for me for awhile! I guess I'm getting back to it! It really makes a pretty card!!!

So now "hop" over to Sandy's blog & see what she did with these colors! I know you'll love it!!! Don't tattle on me with my Daffodil Delight add-on though!! Shhhh!!! lol

So until tomorrow!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

REGIONAL SWAP

Well, now that Regionals is behind us :( and the fun is but a memory, I can post the swap I did! Our theme was "Fall & Bling"!!!! Focus on Holiday Mini.

Here's what I came up with!

I ordered this single stamp Tweet Leaves because I loved the sample in the catalog! I wanted to try my own version of it!!! It's a very cool looking card!!! I used markers (Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy) to color on the stamp. Then "huffed" a bit, & stamped on the Very Vanilla! Not tough at all, but doing 20 of them became a bit time consuming! lol!!!

I cut the image and the matte out with the new Window Frames Framelits! I love the way they look on a card! Makes a nice presentation!

The background is the Woodgrain Testured Impressions Embossing Folder! I used the new Coordinations paper in Early Espresso with it. Them used the new Stampin' Sanding System to bring out the "core" color in the cardstock.  It looks so cool up close!!! The texture is amazing!

For the bling, I used some Dazzling Details on the leaves, and the Rhinestone Jewels for the little birds eye! But the big bling is the champagne Glimmer Paper used for the sentiment!!!!

It is SOOOOOO sparkly!!! I highly recommend this glimmer paper!!!! It's sooo much prettier in person than you can imagine!!! So pretty!!! The "For You" sentiment comes from the Mixed Medley hostess set.  I used Dimensionals to "puff" it up a bit for added dimension & interest!

The ribbon is Old Olive 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon.  Very forgiving ribbon!!! Easy to use & very versatile!!!!

So the other gals in "Donna's Daubers" seemed to enjoy it ok!  I'll be posting some of their amazing creations this week!!! You'll get so many great ideas on using all the beautiful stamp sets & tools in the Holiday Mini to create super neat fall creations!!!

While cards is the way we go for swaps, why not try some of these amazing layouts on scrapbook pages! You can either enlarge the design to fit the paper, or use the card as an embellishment on your page!!! Either way, it's a great idea!!!!

And of course, just a reminder that all the products you see above can be purchased from either the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog or the Holiday Mini Catalog!!! Click the Shop Now button on the right side of the blog to order now!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

PERFECTLY PRESERVED!

So here is Day 2 of my demonstrator group "Donna's Daubers" posts!!!  We recently had a demonstrator luncheon at my friend Donna's house! There was a fun shoebox swap, where we all designed a card & brought supplies to create them together! So much fun!!!

Here's the card Barbara designed!!!

I've been back & forth with this stamp set-Perfectly Preserved!!! I like it alot! I especially like that is has the Cannery Set Framelits Dies to go with it!!!

But I wasn't sure how I would use it! Now I do some canning, so it jumped out at me. But how to use on a card? Well, Barbara schooled me on this one!

How pretty is this?? She combined patterns from Orchard Harvest DSP with embossing from the Lacy Brocade and Stripes embossing folders!  I love the textures here!!!!

Throw in a cute Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, a new Window Frames Collection Framelit, a Scallop & Circle punch, & you have a beautiful card!!!!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!!

Happy Stampin'!
