COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

Happy Wednesday!!! And
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
day!!! The weather says we will be in the 40'sF today!  May  not seem like much to everyone, but to us here in New England it's like 80 degrees!!!!  Will spring every get here????

Combining blog challenges again! This week I'm using the Mojo Monday 390 sketch as a base. I like the way it works for this.

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog!! I can't wait to see her at convention this year!!! Be sure to continue on to Lizzy's blog!!! So much talent with these 2 ladies-and all the other wonderful friends on this hop!!! Just keep going!!!!

So here's this week's card:

And here's this week's inspiration:

And here are this week's Stampin' Up! colors from MDS:
And here's the Mojo Monday sketch:

Now these colors are very neutral. I figured I'd take the change to go sorta "masculine".  Altho I think it could go either way, the colors might work for a guy.  Now why you'd need a brown congrats card I'm not sure, but I like the shape of the stamp!!!  That comes from the Sale-a-Bration stamp set
Simply Wonderful!!! A nice little versatile set! And yours only for awhile longer!!!

I like the way the Darling Doily Thinlets makes the background here. Kind of a different look!

The brown ribbon that you see under the Sahara Sand Lace Trim is some altered Jute Ribbon. I colored it with my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Marker.  There's so much you can do with that ribbon. Very rustic & fun!!!

Other items used are the Apothecary Accents Framelits, Bird Builder Punch, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Pearls Basic Jewels (just because!), Scallop Circle Punch.

Now keep hopping!!!!! See you next time!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

This week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop offers some rich, beautiful colors!!! Love them!!!

So hello to my visitors from Carol's blog! Glad you are here! After you hang here for a bit, head on over to Liz's blog & see what she has in store for you! Then be sure to keep going all the way back here!!! I get to be the cheese in the middle this week! Lots of fun stuff to see!!!

Here's the card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

And finally, here are the colors in MDS:

So I know it's another card with Lotus Blossom, but it's my current favorite stamp set! It's such a beautiful image! Simple yet not if ya know what I mean! I want to get as much use of it as I can since it's from the
Sale-a-Bration Catalog! Once the catty is done in March, the stamp set is gone, gone, gone!!!! I just love it so!!

The striping is the amazing Irresistibly You Specialty DSP!  So you gotta have this stuff!!! It's got the design (in this case the stripes) embossed in clear!  All you need to do us use a Stampin' Sponge or Sponge Dauber to rub the ink over it! So cool!!! You can make your own colored DSP!! Awesome!

Other materials used are Beautiful Bouquet (Occasions Catalog) for the leaves, Simply Wonderful (SAB) for the sentiment, Apothecary Accents for the sentiment cut-out, and the Pearl Basic Jewels colored with the
Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities!!!

Hope you enjoyed! So now start hopping around & check out what all my talented hop partners have for you!!! See you soon!!

Happy Stampin'!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Happy Wednesday morning!!! Today I am Coloring Down the Lines with some pretty soft colors & Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! I needed some inspiration today!!

Hi to the hoppers from Helen's blog! If you're new here then I'm soooo glad you are here! If you're a regular, glad you are back!!

Here's today's card:

Here's the inspiration:

And here's the coordinated Stampin' Up! colors:

Pistachio Pudding
Wild Wasabi
Basic Black
Crisp Cantaloupe
Pear Pizzazz

Lastly, here's the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:

I love the softness of the Pistachio Pudding & Crisp Cantaloupe together. I just love these In-Colors anyway. Lots of people will surely miss them when they retire in May!

I used the Choose Happiness stamp set. It's versatile & sweet.I simple stamped the flowers & "fussy cut" them out. It wasn't too hard!

The main "cut out" is cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Haven't visited that set in awhile! It has a pretty sentiment. I used half of it on the front & finished it on the inside.  I just simply punched it out with the
Mosaic Punch

Finish the whole card off some of the cool In-Color Sequins & it adds just that "pop" of fun!

Now hop over to Liz's blog & see what she has for you! Don't forget to keep going! Lots of cool stuff to see!!!!

Then go visit over at Sketch Frenzy Friday! Lots of great ideas there! You can even add your own!

Happy Stampin'!!!

INSPIRE, CREATE, SHARE BLOG HOP!

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so it must be time for
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!!!
I can't believe a whole month has gone by since the last one! Time sure flies!!
This month our focus is on Black & White-with or without a spot of color!

I went with the spot of color-albeit a little spot!!!

I love how this looks like a little purse! Easy & cute to use!!! I pulled out my Pleasant Poppies stamp!! It's pretty heat embossed in white on the black!!

I love the new Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder! Cute here!!  The "top" of the purse is cut from one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

My "pop" of color is the little flower for the clasp.  It's the little flower in the new Punch Pak! It is a Hello Honey flower! Love this new In-Color! I think it adds just enough!!!

I thought I'd share a picture of some of my friends on this hop!  I, of course, was late to the photo, but here's some of the group!!

This was taken at Inspire, Create, Share-Stampin' Up! Convention 2014! What a great time it was!

So now hop over to Olivia's blog & enjoy! There's a list just below of all the hoppers this week! If you get lost, you can just hop on any one & keep going!!! Enjoy!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

CASING THE SKETCH!!

My friends over at Can You Case It? are challenging us with a sketch this week!! Here is the sketch they chose!

Week 26 Sketch

And here is the card I made!

http://canyoucaseit.com/

I decided to go back to my watercolor roots! I've been having so much fun with my Blendabilities that I just wanted to visit my old friend the Aqua Painter!

I had to remember that watercoloring isn't as "precise" as coloring with the Blendabilities! It's ok to go somewhat outside the lines!!!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets that was new to last year's catalog-Pleasant Poppies!!. It's a single stamp, but nice & large! Gives lots of nice options with the Framelits-this one being the
Apothocary Accents Framelits!

I had some fun playing with my new In-Colors with this card! And of course a little Honeycomb never hurt anyone! lol

So hop on ovet to Can You Case It? and enjoy all the other great creations that people have come up with!!! Maybe even try your own hand at it!!!

Happy Stampin'!

MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I know it's next week, but maybe you need a card!! I just wanted to share what  my Stamp Club will be making this weekend!!!
It's a very pretty Tangerine Tango card & bookmark made with the beautiful  Watercolor Wonder DSP from the Occasions Catalog!!! This paper is gorgeous!! Too bad it won't be around for long tho! I know for a fact that it is not carrying over to the new catalog! When it's gone, it's gone! You only have 1 more month to get yours!  So many pretty designs!!!! I designed this one for one of my customers who is getting it as a surprise for Mother's Day! Maybe it's you!!!!!

It's not a difficult card, but it packs quite a punch! So much so that I even entered it into a challenge this week!! My friends over at Can You Case It? challenged us with a Mother's Day card.  You should pop on over! They have some fun designs on there & some great ideas for you own Mother's Day card! PLUS, you can vote for MY card!!!! :) Voting begins Sunday at 6:00 am! Be sure to set your clocks! ;)

And just the card:

FYI the Large Basic Pearl is on the Retired List. Still available as of now, but who knows for how long! The "retirees" are dwindling quickly!!!
So just a fun share! Hope you like!

Happy Stampin'!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

So last weekend I went directly from a wedding to a 50th anniversary party! Talk about extremes!! Both were quite beautiful, but of course each had its own flair!!!

Here is the card I made for the anniversary party!

I'm not quite sure why the color is kinda funny on this one!! Being as it's a 50th, that background is gold!! I didn't want anyone to think I was being morbid with the black, but it looked so rich with the gold!!! Love my gold paper!!!!

I used the Best of Brides & Babies 25th Birthday stamp set! I think this one will get lots of use!!! It's the best wedding stamp!!! I just think these 2 little birds are so cute!!!

I cut them all out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies! Just plain & simple, but very elegant!

Finished the little guys off with 2 of the Large Pearls Jewel Accents & some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details in the Heart!

Happy Anniversary Rachel & Bob!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

NEW MOJO MONDAY!

This weeks Mojo Monday sketch was a little trickier than expected! Looks easy enough, right?  Well, that's a lot of elements to add to a small card! I got a little creative with it! Look!

This weeks Mojo Monday sketch was a little trickier than expected! Looks easy enough, right?  Well, that's a lot of elements to add to a small card! I got a little creative with it! Look!

It looks like Christmas colors in the photo, but it's not! It's Lucky Limeade & Rich Razzleberry with Whisper White

I don't use white often other than as a card base or to stamp the words on, but I think it looks pretty with this combo! The paper of course is the Summer Smooches! I love that paper pack!!! A little ribbon & Boho Blossoms punching & you're good to go!!!

The sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set fits perfectly into the large oval punch, with a cut from the new Apothecary Accents Framelits for the background! I love this combo & think I'll be using it often!

I also used the Bird Builder punch! Can you find where?

Want specific details? Contact me! It's a pretty card in person! So did you do a card for Mojo Monday?? I want to see it!!! You never know if it might make "the blog"!!! lol

Happy Stampin'!

FRAMELIT FRENZY!

Ok, can I just say I am in LOVE with the framelits! All of them! They really do such a nice job with a super clean cut and sooooo easy to use!!!
So I got this set called Apothecary Accents, but wasn't sure what to do with it!

Very usable & useful shapes right? Many of the new stamp sets coordinate with this set! I decided to use the biggest one!
I got the very pretty Pleasant Poppies stamp! It's a ginormous size! Very pretty though! So I stamped it & cut it out with the largest framelit in this set!  What do you think?

I used some of the older In-Colors here-specifically Calypso Coral & Pacific Point! I have always loved those 2 colors together! That really cool embossed background, by the way, is the new Chevron embossing folder! Super nice, right??
So anyway, I stamped the image, then lined up the framelit to hit just the tops of the poppies.  I used my blender pens to color them in. Don't know if you can tell, but I used some Dazzling Details to add a little "bling" for fun!!

Now, did you notice the little "holes" around the edge? When I got all the new paper piercing accessories too!!!  The new Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool and Essentrials Paper-Piercing Pack are great tools to add just that special touch! Similar in theory to the old small piercing pack, this one has guides for many of the new (and old) punches & framelits! Perfect & so easy to add that extra lovin' touch!

Boy, I have to find some better lighting for my pictures! Anyway, here are the cool piercing tools! Definitely worth the try!!!!

Next time, my review of the new Stampin' Scrub!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!
