COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Happy Wednesday morning!!! Today I am Coloring Down the Lines with some pretty soft colors & Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! I needed some inspiration today!!

Hi to the hoppers from Helen's blog! If you're new here then I'm soooo glad you are here! If you're a regular, glad you are back!!

Here's today's card:

Here's the inspiration:

And here's the coordinated Stampin' Up! colors:

Pistachio Pudding
Wild Wasabi
Basic Black
Crisp Cantaloupe
Pear Pizzazz

Lastly, here's the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:

I love the softness of the Pistachio Pudding & Crisp Cantaloupe together. I just love these In-Colors anyway. Lots of people will surely miss them when they retire in May!

I used the Choose Happiness stamp set. It's versatile & sweet.I simple stamped the flowers & "fussy cut" them out. It wasn't too hard!

The main "cut out" is cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Haven't visited that set in awhile! It has a pretty sentiment. I used half of it on the front & finished it on the inside.  I just simply punched it out with the
Mosaic Punch

Finish the whole card off some of the cool In-Color Sequins & it adds just that "pop" of fun!

Now hop over to Liz's blog & see what she has for you! Don't forget to keep going! Lots of cool stuff to see!!!!

Then go visit over at Sketch Frenzy Friday! Lots of great ideas there! You can even add your own!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

I'm BAAAACCCKKKK!!!! Did ya miss me? I was in the middle of directing a huge production of Jesus Christ Superstar! I must admit it was an amazing show! So I've been away from this "hop" for a few weeks! Back to normal now though!!!!

So it's a short but exciting hop this week! Glad you're here from Helen's blog! Be sure to keep going to Robbie's blog!!!

So this week's challenge is:

Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding
   OR
Crisp Cantaloupe, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede

Added Piece - use vellum and make it an Easter card

I was so happy to not only be making cards again, but also to be working with the In-Colors!!! I just love them!!! Sooo, I chose the first batch!

So here's this week's card!

I used the vellum to make the flowers. I thought it would be springy! Ok, so shoot me! The DSP is from the no longer current SAB catalog! I love that Sweet Sorbet paper & it's gone now! Oh well! I'm still stressing over Summer Starfruit going away! Can't wait to see the new In-Colors!

Ok so the flowers are stamped & cut with Framelits from Secret Garden. I  heat embossed with white embossing powder then used the markers to color the back. I think it's called the "stained glass technique" but not sure right now.
Ok, I'm all over the place!

Here's a close up of the vellum flowers!

So I'm really  happy to be back! I promise more fun to come! Only a short time to shop from the Occasions Catalog & the Big Book!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

TAG-YOU'RE IT!!!!

So you may or may not know, but every year, Stampin' Up! gives tons of $ to the Ronald McDonald House Charities! It's a wonderful organization that provides housing for families of children who are receiving treatments in hospitals.
Well, one of the ways they raise the funds is through an annual stamp set. This year's stamp set is called Tag It!  Here's what the stamp set looks like!

It comes in clear mount or wood mount! $3.00 from every purchase is donated by SU!

Here's a cute card I made using Tag It!!!

I pulled out my new In-Colors & used Crisp Canteloupe
Pistachio Pudding for the base.

The beautiful paper is from the beautiful Venetian Romance DSP Pack!  This is a great pack of paper!!! Such interesting designs!

I cut out the sentiment using the Chalk Talk Framelits! They work wonderfully with this stamp set! Of course I used my totally awesome
 Magnetic Platform!!!
I used some Crystal Effects to make the balloons pop a bit-shiny!

The whole thing is finished off with the totally awesome
Baked Brown Sugar Stretch Ruffle Trim!

So if you'd like to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, buying this stamp set is a great way to do that! You can order it HERE!!!  Nice way to help out others!

Happy Stampin'!

PISTACHIO COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello again! Happy Dog Days of Summer-at least here in New England! Hazy, hot & humid! While everyone is complaining about the weather, I'm reveling in it!! Love it! We have it for a "blink"/year!!!!

So if you're blog hopping here from Helen's blog, I'm happy to see you!!  Luvin' her card this time!!! Well, I always love her cards!!! lol

So this week's Coloring Down the Lines colors are
Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe
                     or
Pistachio Pudding, Smokey Slate, Strawberry Slush

We are winding down with the new In-Colors! But I really love this Pistachio Pudding color! At first, I thought it was kinda blah. But now that I see it paired with the other colors, it's the perfect accent to just about any card!

Here's this week's creation:

The colors actually shout out to me "sherbert"!! lol I think ice cream, but I didn't go the ice cream route! Now I challenged myself this week to not even use Whisper White cardstock anywhere-just the 3 colors. I usually like to stamp on the Whisper White or Very Vanilla to make the stamped image pop, but I think it works on the Smoky Slate! What a pretty gray that is!

sketch for inspiration.  Stamp set is Summer Silhouettes & the greeting is from Sweet Essentials! An understated set that you can now order for 25% off!!!
The Fancy Fan folder is the embossing in the back. I finally opened my Delicate Details Lace Tape, & boy do I wish I hadn't!!! I LOVE it!! I'll have to be buying plenty of this now!! You can color right on it to make it different colors. I stuck with the white to keep the accent going.

In this close up the Smoky Slate looks very metallicy silver! Nope.  Now I stamped the flower images in Pistachio Pudding & Strawberry Slush, & I thought it looked good as is. But I added the White Uniball Gel Pen to make the image pop. Add the white heat-embossed sentiment & voila!!! I think it's a very pretty card!! I think it shows pretty well in the close up!!!

Now head on over to Liz's happy blog home & check out her lovely card!! I'll see you there!!! You bring the coffee!!

Next week you will be seeing all kinds of convention treats! I leave Tuesday night for a week of fun!! Right now I am working feverishly to get all my swaps done & everything ready for the trip!!! Good stuff!!!

So until next time!
Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING "CANTALOPE" STYLE-WITH A LITTLE MOJO!!!

So welcome to this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!! If you're over here visiting or "hopping" from Helen's blog, great to have you!!!! I know her design is so bright & fun!!

This week, we are once again using the new In-Colors for our challenge! These colors are so fresh & exciting!!! Our choices this week were
crisp cantaloupe, coastal cabana, pistachio pudding,
or
crisp cantaloupe, pink pirouette, & soft suede
I chose the first because I want to work with all my new colors for awhile!
Also, they make me think of summer! Our weather in New England is soooo far from summer this year it's not even funny!!! We have had nothing but cold & rain for 2 months now. It's hard to believe that official summer is only a few days away! Geesh, I really need some summer!!!

This week I am doubling up on challenges! I'm using the design from the
Mojo Monday 298 challenge this week! I haven't played that challenge for a bit, and I like to! So that is my design inspiration!  Here's the sketch:

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgev9IbXJjTB4DmMd7xtkG5MKXvO2MMwxfkMDNFt_FIJqADd9c9a3zEHoAdOnodSycjTuAJAGwdHJZGW6-GoKDIKQtRvVkD3Cqc5sygzJ64ivRoCOBidkQaaLJ3cgGagHkJ_lLAj8tlPPYS/s1600/Mojo298Sketch.gif

Colors first though!

Anyway, these colors are helping me "think summer"!!! Does it work for you?

I used 2 of my new stamp sets for the first time! The pretty flowery lacy thing is from Happy Day! The sentiment is from the Best of 25 Years Birthday stamp set for June-Best of Greetings. Such a versatile set that one is!!! A Round Array rounds out the stamp sets! Punched out of course with the coordinating 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch!

The background is embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder!
Now the bow-that seems to be a big design these days-using cardstock/DSP to mke the bows. I embossed it first with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. It's kinda cute I think!  Believe it or not I made it with the
Medium Oval Punch! Hmmm, think you can figure it out?? :)

So now that you're hopefully feeling summery, take your little drink in a coconut with an umbrella over to Liz's blog! I'll see you there to enjoy the tropics!

Then I have to get to work on all my swaps for convention! It's coming up in just 1 month! So excited!!!! I know I promised to share some new stuff from the new catty! I'm working on it!

I also LOVE this month's new Paper Pumpkin! I can't wait to make those cards so I can show you! Hopefully tomorrow!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

A COLORING DOWN THE LINES "SLUSHIE"!!

So this week we are beginning our blog hop with our new In-Colors!!! They are such nice tones!
Our challenge this week is using Strawberry Slush with Rich Razzleberry & Sahara Sand OR with Coastal Cabana & Crisp Cantaloupe
I definitely chose the latter because I wanted to use all my new In-Colors!!!

So welcome back from Helen's "slushie" blog!!! I know her creation is super "juicy" and "cool"!! Ok, enough with the puns!!! I'm sure you loved her creation!! :)

So here's mine!!!

I pulled out my new Mosaic Madness tools!! The Mosaic Madness stamp set, Mosaic Punch & the Mosaic Embossing Folder!! I am really enjoying this combo!!!
I love the way the "mosaics" look with the embossing folder! Especially when Stampin' Dimensionals are used to "puff" them up! Cool!!!

This is a tri-fold card, but a little different than the standard gatefold! See?

I have the design panel attached on the left side, but the right side needs to be "over" the left base side! Clear as mud?? I'd be happy to share if you'd like, but it makes a nice gatefold-style stay closed instead of kind of flopping open. Just as easy to make though!!!

Here's a close up of the panel!!!

You can see the dimension & texture with the folder & "mosaics". You can also see the Basic Pearl Jewels accents.

Oh, btw, the little sentiment is from the Pennant Parade stamp set!

Overall, it's a fairly simple card, but I think it looks nice & showcases the new In-Colors well!

Now pop on over to Laura's blog & check out her La-Dee-Dah lovely creation!!!! I'll see you there!!

Watch over the next few days for some of our exciting new products!!! I can't wait for the man in brown to deliver my BIG box of goodies from the new catalog!!! Wait until you see!!! I sure can't!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!
