INSPIRE, CREATE, SHARE BLOG HOP-NEW CORE COLORS

Happy Summer! And welcome back to our ICS Blog Hop! This month we are featuring all the beautiful new Core Colors! As you may or may not know,      Stampin' Up! does a color refresh every few years! Well this year we have some great new colors in our "regular" repertoire!!! So pretty! Check them out!

Here are my cards:

I really needed some basic birthday cards-ya know, the ones you can grab off the rack in a pinch.  These can be for any age, boy or girl, etc!  They are all basically the same just different core colors.

The first is Lemon Lime Twist!

This one is landscape! The others are portrait orientation!

The second is Bubble Bath.

And the third is Azure Afternoon

Each has a little strip of color on the inside-just for a pop!

They were all made with the Alphabet A-La-Mode Dies, Artistically Inked stamp set, Blending Brushes, Stampin' Blends, Painted Texture Embossing Folder & Rhinestone Basic Jewels! The Blends were used to color the Jewels!

Overall very easy, basic cards, but I think they are so pretty & a super nice, bright presentation!!!!

Next up is our fearless leader Deb. Check out which Core Colors she chose to highlight! They are all so pretty! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! Then keep going!!! There will be lots of goodness to see!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS-CROSS-STITCHED CHRISTMAS

This month on Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are starting our       Holiday crafting with a 3-D item! Lots of fun ideas for the holidays!!!   We are a week early this month as many of us will be traveling to Orlando next week for our OnStage event!!! So much fun ahead!!!

So let me start by saying 3-D items are a real challenge for me! If you follow this blog, you know I'm a real CAS (Clean & Simple) kinda gal! My cards are very linear & simple. I do not usually work with 3-D items! In fact I rarely make them!  I love to look at them & see the great ideas others have, but I'm not great at coming up with something new! But the holidays are all about bling & fun, so I decided to give it a try! My creation is rather CAS, but I think its cute! What dya think?

Here it is:

So I thought what's more 3-D for the holidays than Christmas ornaments? Most people have a tree, so we need the ornaments to hang from them! These came out cute, but they are very simple!!!

My fave stamp set from the Holiday Catalog is the Cross-Stitched Christmas set! I love the multi-step stamping, & I think it's a pretty, crisp stamp set!

These 3 little ornaments sparkle! I used my amazing Stamparatus to stamp the base layer in a color, the second layer with Versamark &                     White Embossing Powder, and the 3rd layer with Versamark &
Silver Embossing Powder!  I chose these colors because I feel they are "cool" colors-for winter!!!

I am not one for fussy cutting, but I thought the Stitched Oval Framelit made the ornament look like it was in a hoop.   Which is where you would work the cross-stitch! I backed them all with a nice Silver Glimmer Paper.  Just thought they needed some "bling" on the backside!

I fortunately had matching colors in the twine-Night of Navy Medium Bakers Twine, & 2 colors from Nature's Twine!  Add a bit of Glitter Enamel Dots & Basic Jewels Rhinestone bling & it's kinda sweet!!!

So nothing fancy but easy to make & fun to hang on your tree! Great to do with your kids!!!!

Now hop over to Terri's blog & see what she came up with!!! Just click on her name or the icon below & you'll get there! Then keep going!! Follow through this great hop of ideas to get you into the Holiday spirit & ready for crafting!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-DRAGONFLY DREAMS

This month on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we have a color challenge!!! We could use only the 3 colors below (with a spattering of black or white!). This was a real challenge for me! These colors are beautiful together, but I wouldn't have chosen them to use together. Plus, I haven't stocked up on embellishments in all the new colors yet!!  I always enjoy a challenge though! And I like this one!!!

Here is the color challenge:

Here is my card:

I am on a kick with this particular "fancy fold" cards lately! I think they add just a little extra fun!! I was randomly going through my stamps & decided to use the Dragonfly Dreams! It's such a pretty stamp set-especially when you can combine it with the Dragonfly Detail Thinlet Dies!!

The embossing on the front is the beautiful Layered Leaves. I thought it would be appropriate that the dragonfly needs leaves to land on! lol  That dragonfly was cut first with the solid Blackberry Bliss, then the detailed over piece was cut from the Vellum Card stock & colored on the back with the                 Stampin' Markers! I just finished it off with some Basic Rhinestone Jewels!  I even added some fun to the inside! I love how the big dragonfly is "peeking" over the top!

This 3-fold card is kind of fun! In fact, you get 2 cards from 1 sheet of card stock! Just like when making regular cards!!  You can use them either portrait or landscape orientation Here is the other one I did.

I kept with the same color scheme.  The little kangaroo from the             Animal Outing stamp set set was colored with the Blackberry Bliss ink pad & the Aqua Painter, but the color didn't carry over like I'd hoped. It's a bit pink! I actually double checked the ink pad to be sure it was the correct color! lol But still a cute card!  Simple cards but cute to give to a friend!

So now hop over to Ginger's blog & enjoy her creation! Click on her name or the icon below!!! Then keep going! Lots to see using these 3 cool colors-all returning In-Colors I might add!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

Well December sure is moving along far too quickly!! With only 1 week until Christmas, I need to get my Christmas card act together! lol  So I'm continuing to use the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
for just that purpose! So here we go with another Christmas card!!!!!! lol

Hello to the hoppers from Helen's blog! When you are finished here head on over to Sandy's blog!!!  So much fun on our little hop!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

So I thought the blue tones here made a great card for snowflakes! Blues. Winter. Etc. Etc. Etc.!!!  So this Flurry of Wishes stamp set is perfect for the snowflake world!  It's even nicer when you  have 2 different punches to punch out the snowflakes: the Snow Flurry Punch & the Flower Medallion punch! Perfect partners!

My Oval Framelits cut out the "window", which was then embossed with the Gently Falling Embossing Folder! Lots of texture going there!

And of course... lots of bling! First the Iridescent Ice Embossing of the snowflakes, the Rhinestone Jewels, and that amazing
3/8" White Glitter Ribbon. What??? It's not white you say?? Well it was! Until I colored it with my Smoky Slate marker! So there! lol!!!

So hop you enjoyed this week! Next week we will be getting ready for the "big day"!! Hope I get my cards done by then! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

It's another
Coloring Down the Lines
Wednesday!!! Let's get hopping!!!!

So maybe you're here from Helen's blog! Be sure to hit Sandy's blog next! Great stuff all around on the hop this week!!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So this week I was trying to keep with the Christmas theme. Thank goodness for the Cherry Cobbler! lol The other colors are not really Christmas-altho any color can be if you do it right!!! Don't mind my Santa's Boot Christmas Tree in the background!!! lol

Here I tried to kind of make a flower. Or a bow-depending on how you see it? Which do you think it is? Leave a comment below!

I used the Bow Builder Punch with a poinsettia in mind! After punching out the bow shapes, I heat embossed with my Iridescent Ice. Love that stuff! Then arranged them to be the flower (or bow!)! I thought it look cool to make it look like it was "hanging" on a brick or stone wall.  That
Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder is one of my faves! I just am kinda earthy I guess!

The sentiment is stamped with Sassy Salutations. The bling (of course!) is Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and there's a bit of Washi tape to add some "wow" to it all!

So hope you like! Help me decide-bow or flower!!! lol  Now go hop away! Until next time!

Happy Stampin'!

PLUNGING INTO MOTHER'S DAY!

So I'm back fresh from my 2 weeks in Hawaii! Trying to get my feet on the ground! Anyway, I'm glad to be back designing for
once again! I miss my plunge peeps!!!

This week we are featuring Mother's Day projects! Mine is a card!

I know it's kind of cliche to do flowers on Mother's Day cards, but as a mom, I like getting flowers! It works for moms!

This one is a bit of a fancy fold! I made it a tri-fold of sorts. The front looks nice, but when you open it, it's a whole new surprise!

Here's the inside!

The stamp set used is Flower Patch! And just a hint-we got to see the new Annual Catalog today, and this stamp set will be around for another year!!!  As well as it's Flower Fair Framelits to match! Love this set!

I also used a couple of punches! The Petite Petals, and the flower from the
Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels.  The flower & ribbons come from the beautiful Artisan Accessory Kit in the
Occasions Catalog. So pretty! Only around for a short while!

So pop over to The Paper Plunge & check out our design team's beautiful designs! You'll get great inspiration for your Mother's Day cards!

Now I can't share with you anything from the new catalog yet-but trust me-you'll LOVE it!!!! I can, however, remind you & send you to the
Retiring Products List! Many of the items are being sold at a discount, and many are already gone!!! Go check it out to get a nice little deal on some of your faves! Once they're gone, they're gone! While supplies last!!!

So those colors are really all about the flowers! So pretty! I decided to visit some old friends with my card this week! The sentiment is from Feel Goods stamp set! The flowers have some Flower Patch stamping too!  Otherwise, it's all about the Flower Fair Framelits & the Labels Collection Framelits

Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels & a bit of Washi & ya got a pretty card! Oh and don't forget to emboss!!!

PLUNGING WHITE WITH A POP!!!

It's Friday & time for The Paper Plunge challenge!!! This week my fellow designers & I are using lots of white with just a pop of color! We don't do that enough I think! I love the clean & simple look!

So here's what I came up with!

I thought the Elegant Eggplant was the perfect winter/holiday blend! This works for Christmas, but it also works for a winter greeting!  All it is is the Snowflake Embossing folder, some  Rhinestones Basic Jewels, & a Framelit cut! The sentiment is from the early December hostess gift freebie!

Sweet & simple! Now hop over to The Paper Plunge & see what my friends came up with!  You can surely add your own design! Be sure to leave comments! We love to hear from you!!!

A very Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah to you all!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!! PUMPKIN PUMPKIN!!!

Hello there!!! It's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop day!! Now I know Halloween is over, but it's still pumpkin season!!! Today's card is very "fallish"!!

To the hoppers from Helen's blog, welcome!! If this is your first stop, then be sure to keep going!!! We have so much fun here! And it's a GREAT group of stampers!!!

So here's this week's card:

Here's the color inspiration:

And here are the Stampin' Up! MDS colors:

Now this card is a fairly simple card that I would say would work for all genders! It's tough to come up with a "guy" card! I think this would fit the bill! Although it would also work for the ladies!

I pulled out one of my "go to" stamp sets-Work of Art-for the background "swooshes".  I love what this stamp set can do for a quick background or add-on of color.

I went to the Fall Fest from the Holiday catalog of course for the pumpkins! I don't know what I'm gonna do without that set! I love it so much!! Hopefully its whimsical self will make it into the Annual Catalog next May! Be sure to grab it now tho if you want it! The Holiday Catalog only has about a month left! :( Love this one!

So of course the Fun Fall Framelits helped me cut out the leaves & pumpkins! Makes the job a snap!!!

Finished it off with a bit of Blendability coloring on the Rhinestone Jewels  its a cute card!!!

Now go visit Liz's blog & see what's amazing over there!!! Then don't forget to keep going!!! Please leave a comment! We love to hear what you like!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!!

Happy Summer Coloring Down the Lines!!!  After a wet but successful
4th of July, the heat is on here! Just the way I like it! As you get this, I hope to be sitting on a beach with my toes in the sand!!!

So hello all you hoppers from Helen's amazing blog! How awesome is her card this week?!
When you are through here you can hop over to Sandy's fantabulous blog! She is cooking this week! It's a small group this week, but talented! Keep going!!! Be sure to leave comments!!! It's so nice to hear from you all!!!

So here's the Design Seeds pic for this week (caw caw!):

And here are our MDS colors to complement:
And here's my baby!

For some reason it doesn't look green! It does when I look at the camera & on my upload! Oh well, trust me. The background is Pistachio Pudding! That color is growing on me!

The other 2 greens make up the "stems" from Flowering Flourishes! And of course Papillon Potpourri and punches round out the rest of the colors! That's the Ticket was used for the sentiment-with the Ticket Punch of course!

This is really a cute, airy card in person! Very simple but I think it packs a gentle punch! I'm in the throws of "swap mania" as I prepare for Convention next week!!! So excited!!! But trying to get a handle on things! It'll all happen tho! Don't you worry!

So hope you like this week's entry in our little blog hop! It's a cool summer breeze blowing your way!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

CLEAN & SIMPLE!

Well if you follow me you know that's kinda my style! I found this great new blog, Clean & Simple! Every week they give a neat design that fits right in with my likes!!!  I decided to give it a try this week!

I thought it would be fun to use my new stamp set that I got from Prize Patrol at Convention this summer! Now I'm not a huge Halloween person, but I do need a few cards to send to fam & friends. So I thought this would work fine for this design!

Here's my card:

With the exception of the Whisper White cardstock, all materials come from the amazing Holiday Catalog!!! The stamp set is Halloween Hello! I kinda love that little bat!  The DSP is from the Witches' Brew pack! It's all quite lovely!!!!
The Rhinestone Basic Jewels make up the bling at the top! Do they look black to you? Well they are! Hmmmm. Now you're thinking, "I thought they were clear!" Well, you're right! They are! Or they were! Now they're black-I simply colored them with a black Sharpie & voila!!! Black gems! Pretty, huh??

Here's a close-up of my little bat friend! Which is ironic because we just had the 2nd bat in 2 weeks flying around in the house!!! Aaaagggghhhhh!!!!

So hope you liked my little Halloween card! You should head on over to the Clean & Simple blog & see all the great creations there!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

SOFT SUEDE COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hi all! This week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is Soft Suede! MMM! Love that color! Our challenge is to use Soft Suede, So Saffron, Regal Rose OR Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler.  I chose the latter!

So I hope you're back vising from Helen's blog!!! Cool stuff over there, huh?!!

So here's mine this week:

This is a birthday card I did for our aunt! She loved it btw!! lol
I used my Best of Birthdays 25th anniversary stamp set! It's fairly simple, but I like the bling! Looks like the candles are lit!!

I used up a bit of retiring product. The DSP Packs are going. They have all new ones that are really pretty, but I still have a ton of the old stuff! Oh well! It'll get used!!!

Looking at the card here tho, the red doesn't look as deep as the Cherry Cobbler, but it really is!!! lol! There's a piece of Soft Suede matting the strip across the middle, & the image is stamped in Soft Suede!

Here's a close up of the sentiment:

I simply used my Dazzling Details (boy that stuff gets a workout around here!!!! lol).  There are also some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to further bling it out!!!
Overall, a cute simple card!

So have fun heading to Sandy's blog now! That's where I'm going for inspiration!!!

Until next week!

Happy Stampin'!!

COLORING BLUES!!!

Its time again for Coloring Down the Lines challenge!!! This week's colors are Marina Mist and Bashful Blue.
Now first glance at those colors makes me think "baby card"! So I decided, no, no baby card! Gonna go outside the box-sorta!!!

So welcome on over from Helen's blog!!! I hope you're having fun "hopping" today!!! I know Helen's great with the 2-color challenges!!!

So what d'ya think?

So I went with a sympathy card. I seem to always have need for those. Whether for myself or for my customers! They seem to be a hot commodity!

Whenever I do a sympathy card,I tend to think less is more. This is a fairly simple card, but it has some fun details!

First, I used my Secret Garden stamp set & Framelits from the
Spring Mini Catalog. I sure hope this set will appear in the new Catalog in May!!! It's very pretty & so versatile!

The first flower is stamped & embossed on the matte. The second is stamped & embossed on some Marina Mist cardstock & attached with a Glue Dot. The 3rd & top flower is stamped & embossed on Vellum then die cut. I used my
Aqua Painter & my inks & sorta watercolored the flowers for depth & texture. I also used a Dimensional on the flower on the bottom picture.

Add a few little Rhinestone Jewels & ya got a neat accent! I pulled out the almost forgotten 5/8" Crochet Trim!

So now hop over to Sandy's blog & see what she did with these 2 blues! I think I like them together! I know I'll love what she did!!!

So until next time..

Happy Stampin'!!!
