Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So this week the colors just shouted flowers to me! The colors are bold & bright! So I pulled out my Beautiful Bunch stamp set and coordinating                  Fun Flower Punch. Yup, both on the retiring list! Bummer!  The                  Petite Petal Punch was used here too, and that one is NOT retiring! Phew! I get to keep a couple of things! lol

The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts. Gone too!  But the                   Brick Wall Embossing Folder stays! I LOVE that folder! It's so versatile!!! I'd really miss that one!

The final touches bling out the card with Dazzling Details & Candy Dots. Say goodbye to those too!

It all sounds so sad that these are all leaving the catalog, but wait until you see the amazing stuff coming along!!!! The new catalog is beyond crazy good!!! Let me know if you'd like one!!!

So now go hop around & enjoy this week's creations!!!

Happy Stampin'!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So the weather here has been horrible. Ever since April began,we've had cold, snow & rain! Worse than February! I really really really need some spring!!! When I saw these colors, I immediately though of spring flowers! And thus this card!!

Now I'm a big fan of white in a card! We don't always have it on this blog hop because we feature different colors each week. Well this week the colors make the card really "clean". I love that!

The floral stamp set I use is Beautiful Bunch.  The big flower is cut from the coordinating Fun Flowers Punch.  The little flower is cut from its coordinating punch Petite Petals!  Nice!

The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.  It's a very fun versatile stamp set!  These sets are both in the Annual Catalog soon to be going away to make room for our new Annual in May! I sure hope these both stay with us! I always hate when the retiring list comes out! I miss these sets when thy go!

The leaves are cut from the Botanical Builders Framelits.  The ribbon is Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim, and the background is embossed with Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.

Clean & simple! That's how I roll!!! See ya next week!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Hello campers! Welcome to
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
Glad you've joined us!
You're maybe visiting from Helen's blog! Hope you're having fun!!

So here's this week's card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin'Up! colors:
I love this card! It was on a whim. I actually went to my cardstock rack & when I dug out the Tip Top Taupe, I found these scraps with the Wood Grain stamp on them! I thought to myself, "Self, let's use these scraps"! And I did!

The stamp sets used are Petite Petals for all the little flowers &
Choose Happiness for the sentiment.  The flowers were cut with the
Petite Petals punch, and the little Wood Grain squares were cut with the
1" Square Punch

Kinda hard to tell, but the Early Espresso strip is embossed!  The
Basic Pearl Jewels add just the perfect touch for the flower centers.

So a very simple card, yet I think it's one of my faves lately!

So  now go hop over to Lizzy's blog & enjoy what she's created for you! Then keep going! Lots more to see!

Happy Stamping'!

PLUNGING INTO MOTHER'S DAY!

So I'm back fresh from my 2 weeks in Hawaii! Trying to get my feet on the ground! Anyway, I'm glad to be back designing for
once again! I miss my plunge peeps!!!

This week we are featuring Mother's Day projects! Mine is a card!

I know it's kind of cliche to do flowers on Mother's Day cards, but as a mom, I like getting flowers! It works for moms!

This one is a bit of a fancy fold! I made it a tri-fold of sorts. The front looks nice, but when you open it, it's a whole new surprise!

Here's the inside!

The stamp set used is Flower Patch! And just a hint-we got to see the new Annual Catalog today, and this stamp set will be around for another year!!!  As well as it's Flower Fair Framelits to match! Love this set!

I also used a couple of punches! The Petite Petals, and the flower from the
Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels.  The flower & ribbons come from the beautiful Artisan Accessory Kit in the
Occasions Catalog. So pretty! Only around for a short while!

So pop over to The Paper Plunge & check out our design team's beautiful designs! You'll get great inspiration for your Mother's Day cards!

Now I can't share with you anything from the new catalog yet-but trust me-you'll LOVE it!!!! I can, however, remind you & send you to the
Retiring Products List! Many of the items are being sold at a discount, and many are already gone!!! Go check it out to get a nice little deal on some of your faves! Once they're gone, they're gone! While supplies last!!!

Wanna see all the new stuff in the new catalog? Can't wait? Well only demonstrators can see the catalog early! Join my team! Early catalog viewing. Early ordering. Everything discounted. And so much more!!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

CREATIVE BLOG HOP

I am honored to have been nominated to be on the
Creative Blog Hop by my friend & upline Angela Carter over at Angela's Ink Link!  It's a fun little one-time blog hop!!!  Then after I get to answer a few questions about myself! Very exciting! Projects can be anything we want! That's cool!!!

So today's post is to feature an amazing stamp set, Painted Petals.

Here is the "suite" of cards I made:

I love this stamp set!!! It has THE most beautiful coordinating
DSP-Painted Blooms! It can be framed with nothing else & still be beautiful!

Here are the individual cards:

This one uses the DSP, stamp set, the Petite Petals Punch, and some
Daffodil Delight Ribbon! I love how these colors look!

The next:

I thought this may look like flowers growing through the fence! This one uses the Note Tag Punch, the same Daffodil Delight Ribbon, and the
Striped Scallop Thinlets Die.  Kept it fairly simple tho. That paper is beautiful but busy!!!

The last:

This one I took the piece of DSP with the leaf background & added the stamped flowers! I love how that looks!!! I grabbed that Petite Petals Punch again, as well as my brandy new Flower Medallion Punch!!!  I stamped that image with the Crazy about You stamp set! One of my current faves! lol  I will fess up to some retired Rose Red Seam Binding.  I just thought it worked here! Plus, don't have any other Rose Red ribbons!!! lol

Now, questions!

1. What are you working on now?

Right now I am working on creating one of the Perpetual Calendars from our Occasions Catalog as a gift for someone! Don't wanna say who! I love this kit! I have made several already. It is very useful, and I have already referred to mine a couple of times! I like to look at it at the beginning of the month & then make the cards for my blog hops with the upcoming occasions in mind.  Easy peasy too!!!

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?

Hmmm! That's a tough one. What exactly is my genre? Well, I'll take that to mean "stampers" like me. So how does it differ? Well we all have our own styles. Mine is clean & simple.  I don't like a lot of ephemera or extras on my cards. Occasionally I'll go there, but when I try to create "vintage" it looks like I just emptied out my supplies & glued them all on! Haven't quite got that eye. I like things neat, matted & simple. While I truly enjoy looking at those beautiful works of art, I just know I don't do them well!  In life I live outside of  the box, but interestingly enough, in card making, I live pretty much within the box! Boring I guess!! lol

3.Why do you create what you do?

I love to try new techniques! Whenever I see something I can't figure out I have to try it. I like to have a variety of "styles" and "skills" to pull from. Most of my cards are designed for one reason or another. A lot of them come from the several blog hops in which I participate. I enjoy giving a card to someone special. A friend of mine years ago, who has since gone to Heaven, kind of hit it home. When she was ill, I sent her a card weekly as she couldn't have visitors.  When she passed, her husband told me she still had every single card I sent displayed around her room because she would look at them & they made her feel good.  I guess that's why I create what I do.

4. How does your creativity work?

I'll take that to mean how do I come up with a project???!! So I first decide why I need the project. Birthday. Anniversary. Etc. Then I consider the person who will be receiving it. I try to gear the card personally.  Then I pull what I think works for them. Now, if I'm just creating, I pull out a new stamp set & think of a design that would fit it! I also love to visit challenge blogs & use them as a "kickstart" to my design.  That's particularly helpful when I get into a rut!!

So I hope you've enjoyed this Creative Blog Hop!  Now I get to nominate 2 people for next week's Creative Blog Hop! I am sending this on my good friend Helen over at Blue Dahlia Designs who always designs a beautiful card and my Canadian Stampin' Up! buddy Diane at
Teach to Stamp who has a similar clean & simple design to myself.  Be sure to visit their blogs next week!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!

Happy Wednesday! Here we go again! Yippee! I love my little
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop! Glad you are here again!

If you're traveling here from Helen's blog, I know you've seen something pretty amazing!  Same thing will happen when you hit up Sandy's blog next!!! Such talented ladies!

So here is the inspiration:

Here are the Stampin' Up! color in MDS:

And here's my card this week:

I was kind of excited when these were announced because I could finally use one of my new Blendabilities for the blog hop! Go Wisteria Wonder! lol

So I learned this cute little trick with the Chevron Border Punch! I love how it looks. Very lattice-y!

I am copping to some retired ribbon! Perfect Plum to be specific! Sorry! But it works! lol

The flowers were punched using the Pansy and Petite Petals punches. Stamped first, of course, with the Flower Shop & Petite Petals stamp sets! The "Hello" comes from the Label Something stamp set punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder punch.  Works well on this card. I think I  need to stock up on my sentiment stamp sets!

The little dots in the middle of the flowers were made with hot melt believe it or not! A nifty little trick we learned at convention this summer!

Finally, a little faux ribbon using the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder. Adds just a little flair to the "ribbon"!

So enjoy hopping around the blogs this week! There are some great creations to see!!!

See you next time!

Happy Stampin'!
