Different, right?? Yup! We're changing it up this month!! Some fun monochromatic ideas!! We decided it would be a fun challenge!  This week is yellow-obviously! lol I used So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Delightful Dijon! I think that's all our current yellows!!! 

Went with some old-school supplies this week. Everything is current-well almost everything! lol

The stamp set is Flower Patch, and the framelits-of course!-are               Flower Fair Framelits!  This set makes beautiful flowers of all sorts. I wanted to keep this one fairly simple-bring out the flowers in the 

Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners stamp set. And the ribbon, well yes, it's retired. But it matches! lol Better to ask for forgiveness than permission I guess! lol  It's all finished off with a bit of Gold Wink of Stella. I feel that's a shade of yellow so there it is!

I LOVE this week's card! Ok, here goes!

So this week at 

Coloring Down the Lines

  we are looking at some really fun colors! It's a short hop this week-everyone on vacation for the 4th! But the 3 of us here have some fun for ya!!!

So after me hop over to Robbie, then on to Helen, where you probably hopped from to get here! lol

Every now & then I like to use the photo design as almost a template for my card. This week I took it literally!  The picture is daisies!!! That's my totally favorite flower!!!!  So I had to go with it!!!  I'm not actually sure the flowers on here were meant to be daisies when they forged the stamp, but that's what they are now!!!

The stamp set is Flower Patch. I kinda stamped them with the Smoky Slate. By kinda, I mean I inked up the stamp & then stamped off onto a piece of scrap paper. Made it lighter in color! I then cut out all the pieces with the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits!  Fussy cut?? No way!!! lol

The background is my new Brick Wall Embossing Folder! I LOVE it!!!! One of my fave items from the new Annual Catalog!! I thought I'd make it look a bit like the flowers were growing up the wall. Or a bunch growing in front of the wall.

The sentiment is from my current "go-to" sentiment set A Dozen Thoughts! I actually had that set last year, but never really looked at it much. When most of my sentiments retired, I had to find some new ones, so I revisited this one. Now I use it all the time! I really like it!!!  Here I sorta tried to make it look like it's a brick in the wall (I sound like Pink Floyd! lol). Now I think I should have distressed the edges some. But oh well. It's cute.

And as always I finished it off with a little bling-Dazzling Details-and I love my card!!! Please don't eat the daisies tho! (Wow, full of puns today! lol)

PLUNGING INTO MOTHER'S DAY!

So I'm back fresh from my 2 weeks in Hawaii! Trying to get my feet on the ground! Anyway, I'm glad to be back designing for

The Paper Plunge 

once again! I miss my plunge peeps!!!

This week we are featuring Mother's Day projects! Mine is a card!

I know it's kind of cliche to do flowers on Mother's Day cards, but as a mom, I like getting flowers! It works for moms!  

This one is a bit of a fancy fold! I made it a tri-fold of sorts. The front looks nice, but when you open it, it's a whole new surprise!

Here's the inside!

The stamp set used is Flower Patch! And just a hint-we got to see the new Annual Catalog today, and this stamp set will be around for another year!!!  As well as it's Flower Fair Framelits to match! Love this set! 

I also used a couple of punches! The Petite Petals, and the flower from the 

Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels.  The flower & ribbons come from the beautiful Artisan Accessory Kit in the 

Occasions Catalog. So pretty! Only around for a short while!

So those colors are really all about the flowers! So pretty! I decided to visit some old friends with my card this week! The sentiment is from Feel Goods stamp set! The flowers have some Flower Patch stamping too!  Otherwise, it's all about the Flower Fair Framelits & the Labels Collection Framelits! 

Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels & a bit of Washi & ya got a pretty card! Oh and don't forget to emboss!!!

So this week I actually used the Inspiration Photo as the inspiration for the card!!!

I totally love how this card came out!!! If you follow this blog, you know I am a big fan of the "rustic" look! I loved the flowers on the Inspiration Photo! So I decided to somewhat make my card look like that photo! It's my take on it, but I still love the way it turned out!!!

The stamp set used are Kinda Ecclectic & Flower Patch.  Starburst Sayings was used for the little sentiment.  The cut out flowers were cut using the Flower Fair Framelits!  

Add in a little Dazzling Details & some of that great Old Olive thick Bakers Twine & it makes a great card! Has a "winter" feel even tho it's flowers!

It's Wednesday!!! (Sorry a bit late-still Tuesday in my world!) Time for 

Coloring Down the Lines again!!! I love my little blog hop!!!

So let's get right to it! Welcome to the hoppers from Helen's blog! And to those beginning here! Be sure to find out who's next at the end of this post & go hop over there!!! So much fun to see!! This week was Helen's color pick!!!!

So this week's card looks like this:

I love my card this week! This is such a fun stamp set! I finally took a few minutes to explore it & play with it! Flower Patch is very versatile, and it's super cool to have the Flower Fair Framelits to cut them out! I'm not too into the fussy cutting, so this works great for me!!!!! 

The tag is simple a strip of cardstock cut with the Scallop Edge Tag Punch the trimmed down! Wanted it to be a bit thinner than the 2" that the punch requires.  

The Candy Dots add a nice touch. I wasn't sure this card would work with these colors, but I really like how it came out! So cheery! 

I'm fessing up to some retired ribbon, but hey, don't want it to go to waste! Still haven't stocked up on new ribbon yet. Guess I should get shopping!!! lol  Don't tell the hubby!!!
