COLORING WITH MELON MAMBO!

So this week's challenge is Melon Mambo & Pretty in Pink! These 2-color weeks are really challenging me!!! Plus, the colors are sooo close together! Got a fun one this week tho!

So welcome to the visitors from Helen's blog! Glad you're here! Lovin' her card this week! So fun!!!

So here's my card this week:

Fun, right?!! Got the idea from a swap that came from Leadership-even tho I didn't go! lol  So I found the idea & "CASE'd" it!!! Fun card!!!

Ok, so I'll dish! Wondering how to make the cute little brassieres?? It all starts with a punch-a Butterfly Punch!

See:

Ok, so you punch out a butterfly!

Then you cut across the middle of it-from side to side-not down the middle!!!

There are 2 halves!!!

And viola!!! You have a brassiere!!!  How cute & easy is that!!!! I thought it would be perfect with pink! And of course I had to throw in some "bling" with the Silver Glimmer Paper! I have a bit now because of the freebie you get with your Sale-A-Bration hostess order!!! Not just demonstrators-everyone!!! Yet another reason to order during Sale-a-Bration!!!

So had some fun with this week's card! Hope you like it!!!

Now hop over to Laura's blog & check out her Melon Mambo/Pretty in Pink card!!! You know it's a winner!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES WITH RED!

Hey everyone! If you're hopping over from Carol's blog, welcome!!! Glad you're here! I sooo love her card this week! I'm sure you do too!

So here's the challenge-another 2-color challenge-Rose Red & Regal Rose! Yikes! I think my problem with the 2-color challenges is they are so much alike! It's hard to come up with the design when they are soooo close! But I really think I like this week's card!

What dya think???

Once again I used my Oh, Hello set from the Spring Mini! I think I'm in love with this set! My "framper" Karen told me I need therapy!!! lol But this is a set that I really never thought I'd enjoy! I now use it quite often!
I really like the way it looks when those flowers are cut out!

I used the Ticket Duo punch for the sentiment! I "markered" up the "hello" portion of the Oh Hello stamp & punched it out! I think it works!

Lastly, I used the new Honeycomb embossing folder, because I always have to have texture, and raised it up with Dimensionals! I used that pointy arrow thingy stamp for detail on the side!

So I really love this card! It came out so much prettier than I originally thought! I don't use a lot of white, so I was very pleasantly surprised!  I promise next week NOT to use the Oh, Hello stamp set!!! lol

So now venture over to BlueDahliaDesigns-Helen's blog-and see her Rose Red/Regal Rose creation! I wonder if she used the Oh, Hello stamp set too! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES WITH ONLY 2 COLORS!

Ok, so I won't deny that this week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge was a real challenge!!! This week we were only given 2 colors!! Not even a choice of 2 colors!!! I don't think I do ANY crafts with only 2 colors!!! lol

So we had to come up with something pretty using Cajun Craze & Tangerine Tango! Now at first I thought, "what the heck"!!! Those 2 colors are soooo close together!!! But I did some serious thinking!!!

So anyway, welcome to those who traveled here from Helen's blog!! So glad you "hopped" on over!!! I hope you find my design as amazing as Helen's!!! She really can "color" it up, can't she?! :)

So here's what I came up with this week:

A nice CAS (clean & simple) card! I guess I'm finding my style!!
I used a Whisper White background mounted on Cajun Craze. I used the "negative" from a die cut, the Window Frames Collection framelits to be more specific, and sponged  (with my Sponge Daubers of course!) using 3 colors in the middle.

I used Daffodil Delight, then Tangerine Tango, then Cajun Craze! The flower, from what's becoming one of my fave stamp sets, Oh, Hello (from Spring Mini Catalog) is stamped using the Tangerine Tango marker & Garden Green marker for the color.

The little jewelry tags are Tangerine Tango with Cajun Craze images. The images are from the Tiny Tags stamp set & they are punched out with the Small Jewelry Tag punch!

The ribbon is the new Natural Trim Ribbon from the Spring Mini! I just LOVE this ribbon-really hoping it sticks around for awhile!!!

So not sure if I broke the rules or not by adding the Daffodil Delight, but I thought it needed a "pop"! I only used a little!!!

So I really like this card! I haven't used that sponging technique with the negative in awhile! It was a go-to for me for awhile! I guess I'm getting back to it! It really makes a pretty card!!!

So now "hop" over to Sandy's blog & see what she did with these colors! I know you'll love it!!! Don't tattle on me with my Daffodil Delight add-on though!! Shhhh!!! lol

So until tomorrow!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

CAS VALENTINE'S DAY CARD!

Today's challenge card is for the SUO (Stampin' Up! only) Challenge! This time our challenge was for a CAS (clean and simple) Valentine's card! Now that can be tough because we tend to get "flowery" when we are all lovey dovey!!!

But here is a card I think fits the bill!!!

This is a card we made in my Valentine's Day Class! Now I know the pic isn't clear but it's a pretty sweet card!

I absolutely LOVE the Hearts A Flutter bundle! I can see lots of non-Valentine's uses for it!!! It's so nice that we have the Framelits!!! They make life so easy!!! The Bitty Banners too!!! lol

I used some of my retired yet still fantabulous materials for this card! The card base is Blushing Bride. The ribbon is the 1/4" Grosgrain in Whisper White (oh please bring back this ribbon SU!!)  Throw in some DSP from the Regals Stack & some Rose Red & I think it's a pretty clean and simple card!!!

Hope you enjoy-and sorry for the blurry photo!!! The camera skills are coming along!!! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

FEELING BLUE!

This week's Latenight Stamper's Weekly Challenge is Feeling Blue! We were challenged to use blue of some sort in our card!

Well I made this card for my Spring All-Occasion Card class!!! It's BLUE!!!

See??

I will admit I got the idea for the design while searching on
Stampin' Connection-a demonstrator's ONLY gallery! If you'd like access to that site, you will need to join our world of talented demonstrators!!! It's an amazing site with tons of ideas to look at & information & suggestions to help with our job!!!

So anyway, the blue here is Midnight Muse! The DSP is from the Print Poetry collection from the Spring Mini Catalog! I LOVE this stack! It's only a 4"x6" stack, so it's easy to work with! The picture in the catalog does not even come close to doing it justice!!!! It's so much prettier!!!

The butterflies are DSP from the same stack! Using of course the 2 butterfly punches!!! The larger from the Big Book & the smaller from the Spring Mini! Good choice on SU's part!!!

This is a very simple card & I think packs quite a punch! You could use any sentiment! Maybe switch out the butterflies for flowers or hearts! There's also a very similar design in the DSP pack that is Raspberry Ripple, so maybe hearts would work for a Valentine's Day card!!!

Either way, this card is blue!!!! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hi there!!! Visiting from Helen's blog??? Glad you're here!!! Hope you enjoy my creations as much as Helen's. She is amazing!!!!

So this week's challenge is Summer Starfruit with either Elegant Eggplant & Baja Breeze or with Real Red & Marina Mist. Now soooo many people are at odds with Summer Starfruit, but I have loved it from the beginning!!! It's an odd color-yellow with a hint of greenish to it! But I love it!

So I laid the colors out & immediately chose the Real Red & Marina Mist, because I totally saw a little boy's card & I needed a card for my son's best friend who just had a baby boy!!! But then I liked the way the other colors looked & need a thank you for dudes-it was perfect!!! So I made 2!!! One of each color scheme!!!

Now the pics' colors are somewhat distorted. I took the pics at night so the lighting wasn't good unfortunately!  But I totally love how these 2 cards came out! Perfect for the occasions!

So here's the baby card!

I used Aviary! I love these little birds but seldom find a use for them!! I'm so glad I got to use them! The 3rd one isn't hanging from nowhere!
Throw in a Sassy Salutations & you're good to go!!!
I used the Silver Marker on the base stamp.  It looks cool in person-kinda like metal!
I so love those Ribbon Slides from the Holiday Mini. I wish they'd carried them over!

Here's the inside!

Yup-a retired stamp! But perfect sentiment for my little Derick Joseph!!! He's only 2 weeks old!! Like a little grandbaby for me! Can't wait to meet him!!!!

Well now here's the "Dude" thank you!!!

Plain & simple!!!The background doesn't look it here, but it really is
Baja Breeze & the "you're amazing" is in Perfect Plum! Again-the lighting!!! The balloon has Irradescent Ice embossing!!!
This stamp set You're Amazing tends to come out when I need a dude card! I like it!!! We got it as a "freebie" at convention, & I wasn't sure when I'd ever use it, but I do more than I thought! I love the little elephant with the party hat!!!

Here's the inside of this one!

So now I have 2 beautiful cards!!! I really like them both!  Hope you do too!!!
Now head on over to Teri's blog & see what she did with the colors! I'm sure I'll be CASEing hers soon-again!!!! Luv her style!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!!
