IM SO BLUE!!

Coloring Down the Lines this week has been fun!!! I must admit I'm getting better at this whole 2-color thing!! It's been a challenge but I'm starting to like it!!!

Welcome over from Helen's blog!!! Great to see you again!!! Hope you're having a great day!!!

So this week's colors were blue-Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy to be specific!!! Here it is!!!

Two different blues!!! So digging through my stamps & looking for some of my old trusty friends!!! I found my Postage Due! I love this set and had to have it! I'm just not always sure what to do with it!! But I LOVE the affect on this 2-tone card!

So I heat embossed the big design! One of the best tricks I learned is how to emboss with any color-even without the embossing powder!! Cool trick!!!

I was working with one of  my clubs this weekend & 1 of my girls was saying how when she makes a mistake she always goes "crooked"! lol  Now I know when I get a card from her what it means!!! lol But anyway, this wasn't a mistake! I took her lead & went crooked!!! I just thought t was fun & a good way to add umph to the card!!

These little ones work great with the Postage Stamp punch!! There's some dimensional stuff going on there too!!

So add some Baja Breeze Seam Binding & some tiny Basic Pearl Jewels & it's a done deal!!! Kept it short & simple! Hope you enjoy!!!

So have fun visiting Teri's blog!!!! Tell her I said hi!!!

Happy Stampin!!!

COLORING GREEN!!

So this week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is all green! We needed to use Wild Wasabi & Garden Green. Now I'll admit that green isn't my favorite color, but hanging on the coattails of Sunday's leprechaun, I'm down with it!!

Hi there as you hop on over from Helen's blog! Glad you're here! Luvin' her entry this week! So creative!!

Here's my entry!

Tough to get a contrast with these colors because they are sooooo close!  I was glad as I was digging through my supplies that I had some Wild Wasabi embossing powder on hand! I think its a pretty contrast on the Garden Green

I used the kind of seaweed stamp from the By the Tide set from the Spring Mini. Luv that set!!!

I also used it on the Very Vanilla using the Hearts a Flutter set. I find I use that set more than I thought I would. I like the banners. They add just enough to a creation!  They also work perfectly with the Heart a Flutter Framelits. Watch for more of those bundles in the new catalog out June 1. My guess is we will be seeing more of those!  The coordinating products are really a big hit!!!

Yes, that is retired 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon on there, but WHY can't they bring that back?! It's so perfect for everything!

I also added a Large Pearl Basic Jewel there! Works.

No real sentiment here. I guess it could be an "anything" card! I used the
Ciao, Baby! stamp set-from Shelli's Signature Collection! You can find it in the Spring Mini!  It works perfectly with the coordinating 3/4"Scallop Circle punch-also in the Spring Mini. It nicely layers with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch!

Add a couple of tiny Pearl Basic Jewels for balance, & it's done!

So all in all it works! Now hop over to Liz's blog to see what she did with these green colors! I know she's up for the challenge!!!

Don't forget-only a couple of days left for Sale-a-Bration!!! Don't miss out!! You can order online 24/7!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

YELLOW COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

I'm so glad for the color choices this week-More Mustard and So Saffron! Very yellow!! Reminds me of the beautiful sunshine I just left in Hawaii! Had a wonderful time, but now I'm back & rearing to go!!!

Welcome on over from Helen's blog!!! Glad you're here!! Lovin' Helen's entry in the hop this week!!! It isn't easy to make something cool with these 2 colors!!! lol  I will say working with a 2-color restriction is a bit tough!!!! Good challenge tho!!

So here's this week's card:

I pulled out an old "friend" of a stamp set-Build a Blossoms!!! It's from the Big Book!  I love using this set with the coordinating Blossom Builder punch-also in the Big Catalog!  I really love how Stampin' Up! gives us so many coordinating products!!!

Look how pretty close up!

I used an old button from the Subtles pack & some white Bakers Twine!  The So Saffron background was cut with the Floral Frames framelits! I used one of my Sale-a-Bration stamp sets, Vintage Verses, for the sentiment! Easy peasy!!! But I think it packs a punch!

So now take a hop over to Liz's blog!!! Liz has such nice style! I know you'll love her entry!!!

So until next week!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Aloha! So I'm writing this post from lovely Hawaii! I am out there visiting my sister & her family & having a fantastic time!!! Miss my hubby, but not ready to go home just yet!!

So this week's challenge is Old Olive & Certainly Celery!  Two lovely shades of green!  These actually have a nice contrast!

So you're visiting here from Helen's blog I hope! Glad you "hopped" on over! I wish I could have taken on my vacation with me! We would have made some fun cards together! Altho I must admit I made the card before I left! lol

So here's my "green" card!

Pretty I think! This is that Sale-a-Bration set that I looked at over & over & couldn't decide if I wanted it! There are 3 beautiful images, but would I use them? Well, after looking at how pretty this came out, I think yes!!!
I think this wold make a great dude's card! Altho could work for a lovely lady also! I like the versatility! It also has that antique feel to it!!

The stamp gives a beautiful image!! And notice the background? I pulled out my old friend my Spritzer tool!!! Haven't used it in awhile! I thought it worked great on this card! Very simple.  The Certainly Celery Ribbon just kinda ties it all in together!

So now go hop over to Sandy's blog & see her ''green" entry! I know you'll love it as much as I do!!! Love the talent on this blog hop!!!!

Happy Stampin'! Or Aloha!!!!
