Happy Blog Hop day!!! So here we are again Coloring Down the Lines!!

Hi there to everyone hopping over from Helen's blog!!! And be sure to continue on over to Liz's blog!!! Then keep going!! I guarantee you will love what you see!!!

This week's challenge is

Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Basic Gray
    OR
Primrose Petals, So Saffron, Marina Mist
Added Piece - use scoring on your card

Now I'm not one usually to use scoring on a card unless it's to score the fold, so this was a challenge for me! I mean I have all the scoring tools, but just don't tend to use them! I did a little "research" on the subject! I figured I'd keep it simple tho! There are some really cool designs out there with scoring tho! Google it & check it out!!!

So here's my card:

It's very simple this week! I used the first set of colors because I wanna get as much of that Summer Starfruit as I can before it disappears for good!! I will miss this nice bright set of In-Colors. Hopefully an equally bright & cheery set awaits in the new catalog! And maybe even another Summer Starfruit!!!

This Your Amazing stamp set is interesting. I use the sentiments sometimes but rarely use the images. I figured this would be a good time. It fits right into the scored area!

So for the scoring, I just drew 2 lines about 1/2" apart on all 4 sides. Not the most original I know, but it looks ok I think!  It's tough to tell in this pic, but I actually added a bit of scoring on the balloon to bring out the hash marks. Very light tho. There's also a bit of bling with Dazzling Details.

So believe it or not we are back to Christmas next week!!! lol  Be sure to check back & check it out!!!

Happy Stampin'!

AN A"MUSE"ING "FRENZY" OF COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Ok, so I know I spelled it wrong, but it was supposed to be fun! lol
Welcome to this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop

I hope you're hopping over from Helen's cool blog!!! I've missed her!!  After you're through here, be sure to keep hopping over to Liz's awesome blog!!! And then keep going! There are tons of amazing creations & ideas on the blogs in this hop! We may be a small hop, but we pack a punch!!!

So this week's colors are
Midnight Muse, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry
 OR
Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party
And our Added Piece - use a sketch from a challenge blog

Now many of us go to the challenge blogs to get ideas. When our "mojo" isn't there, it's nice to be given a parameter where you can jump start your design! There are tons around the internet! I've used many on this blog! I really like them! Then you can go back & post your design on the challenge blog. You may even win the challenge! I did once & it was such a great feeling!!

So first, my card uses the second batch of colors:

I had to take the pics at night so the Pool Party doesn't really show up unfortunately! In person, it's such a nice contrast to the darker colors!
I love this stamp set, Just Sayin', from the Occasions Mini! I sure hope this one makes it into the big book!
The little bird comes from the Animal Talk stamp set! I just stamped & fussy cut!
Lovin' this new Arrows Texured embossing folder! Also from the Occasions Mini! And again, those Banner Framelits that I never thought I'd use & use all the time!!!!

So the sketch challenge I chose this week is Sketch Frenzy Friday 021414! I've used their sketches before! I also frequent this site for ideas! They offer a simple sketch each week. Some challenge blogs use colors, kinda like this hop does!

Here's the sketch:

So you can see my interpretation is a bit different, but on the same idea! That's what nice about these! You use them as a jump start but then you can modify on your own!!! Fun stuff!!!

So hope you liked this week's hop! Please hop over to the other blogs on this blog hop, and if you have time, hop over to Sketch Frenzy Friday to see what other great "designers" came up with!!! You might even want to check out the challenge sites they chose!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING WITH GUMBALL MOJO!!

Yup, this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop is "green with envy"!!! lol

So maybe you've "gumballed" over from Amanda's blog? Maybe you'll "gumball" over to Laura's blog when you're done! Either way, lots of good stuff to look at on this "roll"! Ok, I'll stop with the puns now!!! lol I crack myself up!

Combining challenges again this week! I'm using the Mojo Monday 332 sketch to create our hop card (see sketch below!)!!!

So here's this week's challenge (if you haven't figured it out yet!):
Gumball Green, So Saffron, Melon Mambo
    OR
Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Marina Mist
Added Piece - create a Clean and Simple card

Lovin' these colors because I'm officially DONE with winter!!!! The "green" makes me think spring!

So here's my card:

Oh ya, that's a big honkin' flower!!! Spring!  That's why I chose this particular group of colors! Springy! Said it again! lol

The flower is cut using the Floral Frames Framelits.  I curled the edges with my Bone Folder. Adds a little extra dimension!

I apparently was feeling hexagonal, because I used the Honeycomb embossing folder, the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp set, and the Hexagon Punch! Hmm.
Throw in a little Stitched Satin Ribbon & a few Itty Bitty Punch Pack pieces & it makes a cute card!

Oh, here's the Mojo Monday sketch that I used!

A little different but same idea! Couldn't do the heart thing again! I've done so many Valentine's Day cards lately I needed a break! Plus, did I say I need spring!lol

Also, I think it's a pretty Clean & Simple design to satisfy our added piece!  I tend to be a kinda CAS girl anyway! :)

So keep "rolling" with our gumballs this week! It's a great hop week!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

IT'S COLORING TIME AGAIN!!!!

Welcome to this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!! Small group this week, but still filled with lots of beautiful creations!!!

Hi there to everyone hopping through the blog hop! You're here from
Amanda's amazing blog!!! When you're finished here, hop on over to
Liz's lovely blog! Then keep going!!! Lots of beauties here!!!

So this week's challenge is

Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand
     OR
Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler
Added Piece - CASE a card from Pinterest

Now I love to CASE Pinterest, so this was a fun one! Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card for my DIL. Her Gramma passed away last week. I just thought these colors led beautifully to this theme. And I CASE'd one of my fave Pinterest cards!

I chose the first set of colors to use this week!

So here's the Pinterest card:
something about stamping: Custom orders, Stampin' Up card, sympathy, Simply Sketched
And here's my card!

It's
It's a little different but pretty much the same! lol
I used the lovely Love & Sympathy stamp set. I use that flower a lot. Not just for sympathy cards!!!

I used my new Banner Framelits from the Occasions Catalog! When I first saw them, I thought they'd be a waste. I mean, anyone can cut a banner, right?? Well I sure was wrong!!! I have used those framelits so many times!!!!

Sponges were used for the shading. Started with the lighter color
(Sahara Sand) & moved to the more vibrant color (Soft Sky). I like to call this the "stencil" technique. I'm sure it has a "real" name, but that's mine!
I finished it off with the Pearls Basic Jewels for a touch of class. I think it makes a beautiful sympathy card. Very simple, but very powerful at the same time.

So until next time! I'm hoping to make some pretty cards to post here today. We are having a big snow storm! I'll be stampin' in my jammies!!!!

Happy Stampin'!
