PLUNGING INTO WET EMBOSSING!

Well now that summer is winding down we are getting back on track here at
This week's challenge is wet embossing-or what you would call heat embossing!

Here is what I came up with:

It's tough to tell. The lighting didn't come out as I had planned. The trees from the beautiful Serene Silhouettes is heat embossed with black embossing powder!  It's quite shiny in person-really it is! lol

I was having fun with this great little
Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack! Love these little 6x6 packs of paper! The prints are amazingly beautiful!!!! I just thought it make a pretty background for this tree.

The little sentiment is from the good ole' Teeny Tiny Wishes! Couldn't live without that stamp set! But if you're thinking of purchasing it, I highly suggest the wood set! Very small pieces easy to lose without the wood blocks!

So hope you enjoyed & got inspired to pull out that heat gun & embossing powder!  If not here, then take a trip over to
The Paper Plunge
& maybe one of the other designer's creations will "move" you!!!

Happy Stampin'!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

And here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
I wanted to feature a brandy new tool from the Holiday Catalog this week. It's the amazing Curvy Corner Trio Punch! You have 2 cool corners & a slit for some ribbon on it! And it's all in a cute little triangle shape!  Very nice new tool! Along with a ton of other new goodies from the Holiday Catalog! So amazing!!!

Well you may have noticed I used it on the little tag! The corners & the ribbon slot are both from the punch! So easy to make nice tags!!! And very easy to use!!!

The stamp set is the lovely Garden in Bloom Photopolymer set. So many pretty images in this 2-step stamp set! Thought it worked well with these colors! I really do tend to go to the flowers don't I?! Well they're pretty. And summery! And I love summer! So there! lol

So get hopping, and be sure to join us next week for another fun
Coloring Down the Lines blog hop!!!

So here's my card this week:

And here's the Inspiration photo:

And here are the amazing Stampin'Up! colors:

This is just a very simple 2(it)-layer card!  The stamping is all on one layer though.  I decided to pull out my Sheltering Tree stamp set! These colors just jumped out at me as a "tree"! Not sure why, but I love how it turned out!

I did use every color in here. The 2 shades of green are in the tree, and the sentiment is the black. I really love this stamp set for this kind of card.  Hope you like it too! A little tough to tell in this picture, but there is also some Dazzling Details bling on the leaves!!!

Very short this week. I am on vacation in sunny coastal Maine & want to get back to the beach! Hope you are enjoying these "dog days" of summer! I'm loving it!!!!

Happy Stampin!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

These colors were a conundrum to me!  I didn't really want to do another "flower" card! Ya right! I love them! lol But purples are flowery colors!!!

Bordering Blooms made this beautiful background. I wanted to use a DSP but didn't have any with the correct colors. So I made my own!!! I really like the way this came out. Simple yet elegant!

The cute little butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri, and the sentiment is from the very cool Watercolor Thank You.

So hope you enjoyed! Now hop away & enjoy everyone else's lovely creations!!!

Happy Stamping'!

ICS BLOG HOP BEYOND THE SEA

I can't believe it's already August! Summer is going way too quickly! But it IS still summer! So this month's
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop
is all about summer-which to me means beach!

Here is what I came up with:

If you know me, you know that I am from Cape Cod. So lighthouses are so special to me! I grew up with the flashing light & the fog horns. When I look at this card I can see Nobska Light in Falmouth Heights flashing away! Never really saw a swordfish swimming there, but who knows! Good eats anyway! lol

There are a few stamp sets used here. The main one is From Land to Sea. Love it! It has everything I love in it!  The sentiment is Sassy Salutations. There is a bit of Gorgeous Grunge to "bubble" up the water, and the beautiful star thing from Kinda Eclectic is the light from the lighthouse.

Throw in a bit of bling-of course-with Crystal Effects & Silver Stampin' Glitter & it looks like the breakwater in the waves.  The water is just a simple watercolor wash with my Aqua Painter.

So hope I made you feel like summer is still in the air! Now hop on over to Claudia's blog & see what beautiful summer design she came up with! Just click the picture below, or click on her name! Either one will take you there! Don't miss a single blog on this hop! Keep going! There is some serious talent here! Don't forget to leave a comment! Maybe you'll get some ideas of your own!

Until next month!

Happy Stampin'!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stamping' Up! colors:

This is a simple little card made with Summer Silhouettes. I've been working on the "kissing" technique with my club girls, so I thought I'd make this little example to show them! Again, nothing fancy-just cute! lol

The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set. If you haven't seen that card kit yet you absolutely MUST! It's amazing! I've used that stamp set more than anything from the new catalog! The stamps are just the right size for just about anything.  Check it out!

So just a quick post this week! Hope you like! Keep hopping!

Happy Stampin'!
