ICS BLOG HOP WELCOME SPRING!

Another month already! That means it's time for the
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!
This month we are kicking into spring a bit early! We are "welcoming spring" with some beautiful creations! Be sure you hop all the way through & check them all out! Comments are great too!!

Here's my card:

Now I usually go all floral & such for spring, but this time I went just a bit different. The day I created this, we had an unusually warm day-60 degrees F in New England in February! That was almost a record breaker! I dislike winter so much, that when the weather was so nice like that, I just wanted to look out the window & enjoy the blue sky & beautiful air!  That inspired this card! I mean what's more springy than flying a kite on a blustery warm spring day?!

Here I used the Happy Home stamp set. I love how it coordinates with the Hearth & Home Framelits! Perfect! You really feel you are looking out the window! Lots of fun images to play with in this set! The image was first heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder, and then watercolored using the ink pads & Aqua Painters.  If you look closely, you will see a Wink of Stella sparkle in the sky! I really think that's my favorite tool they have come out with in a long time! I use it on everything!!!!

I used some Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper for the background. I thought it looked a bit like wallpaper! Now I'm not sure I'd paint my woodwork Bermuda Bay, but it looks pretty in this "room"!! lol

Wrap the whole thing up with some Bermuda Bay Thick Bakers Twine & it makes a nice springy window!

Now to see all our spring creations, hop from here to Claudia's blog

! Just click on her name or the image below & you'll get there! Then keep hopping & enjoy!!!  Happy first day of spring just a bit early!!! See you in April!

Happy Stampin'!
