COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello hopper! Welcome to what is another beautiful summer day here in New England! Many think it's too hot! I think it's just right!!!

I'm so happy to be hopping with you in our
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
today, but I'm especially happy because Lizzy's back!!!! I missed her beautiful creations!!!! Welcome back Lizzy!

So you will follow from here to Lizzy's blog (like the old days! lol), but first, you're probably here from Helen's blog!!! I love being the bologna in their beautiful stampin' sandwich!!!! Feels so good!

So here's this week's card:

I went a bit outside of my comfort zone with this one! lol Now if you follow this blog you know I'm a pretty CAS (Clean and Simple) kinda card-makin' gal!!! But I wanted to try what everyone is buzzin' about! And it was worth it!

So this is what's called a "shaker card"! It's a little window with some sort of "shakey" stuffs inside to shake around!  Adds a bit of excitement and energy to the card!  I thought this stamp set-Seaside Shore-was perfect for this type of card (I'm all about anything beach, ocean, nautical, etc!)!!!

So it's supposed to look like you are looking into maybe a glass tank at an aquarium. Fishes swimming! This was all made with only one stamp set! The really cool texture on the base card is the beautiful new (and already sightly worn!) Seaside Embossing Folder! Love it!!! I've used it both horizontally & vertically!  Super versatile! So technically, you can make this card with materials from one of our suites!!! Check it out!

The window was made with our wonderful Clear Window Sheets and the brandy new Foam Adhesive Sheets.  I tried to find some sand to put in the middle, but what I had just looked like dirt! So I dug through some retired stuff & found this chunky glitter! Thought it worked for the card! But don't tell anyone I used a retired item! lol (Shhhh, I use it all the time! lol)

So I hope your day goes "swimmingly" and you "just keep swimming"!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Hello! Welcome back to
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
after a week's hiatus!! A little mini-vacation kind of left last week out for me! But I'm here now!

Welcome to the hoppers joining us from Helen's blog! Keep moving onto Sandy's blog next!!

So here's my card this week:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So these colors just "shouted" flowers to me! So I sort of used my            Garden in Bloom stamp set to make a background. But even before that, I used some Stampin' Sponges to make a "wash".

I didn't use a lot of tools with this. Went back to SIP-stamp, ink & paper! This beautiful 2-step stamp set allows for so much fun creativity! Just a little      fussy-cut for the butterfly with some bling on it!

And of course this bling girl had to add some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for the centers of the flowers! Um, yeah!!! It's me!!

So sweet & simple! Hope you enjoyed!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP INTRODUCING 2016-2018 IN COLORS

Well summer is finally upon us! I hope this month's
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop
finds everyone happy, well, and enjoying the season! Weather here in New England is summer-perfect right now!!!!

So this month we are featuring our brandy new In-Colors from out amazing new Annual Catalog!!! These are some of the best yet!!!

Here's my card:

I managed to squeeze all 5 In-Colors in! lol They even have fun names this year-Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy & Peekaboo Peach!  Sometimes the In-Colors work best for a certain season or occasion, but this batch fits just about any!  So bright & bold, but not "in your face" if ya know what I mean!

I used my new stamp set Vertical Greetings for this one! I LOVE this stamp set! It's just different! It's perfect for a quick card too!!!  I can't wait to explore it a bit more!!!

The beautiful embossing is also a new folder called Seaside! I am totally the ocean girl, so anything that even hints sea is all for me! But I love the swirls on this one. I decided to try them vertically this time-goes with the stamp set! lol

Embellishments include the new Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon and the
16-18 In-Color Enamel Shapes! These will be a hit!! A super nice embellishment, but flat so it doesn't damage an envelope, and shiny! It's all about the bling in life! lol Throw in a dash of Wink of Stella & it's done!!!

Now if you'd like some other great ideas for the new 16-18 In-Colors then be sure to hit all the blogs on our hop! Next after me is Nicole's blog!! You can get there but either clicking her name or the badge below! And then she will have a connection on her blog to the next! So grab a cup of coffee, or wine, or whatever you choose & enjoy the hop!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello Hoppers! Welcome to this week's
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
As you read this I am sitting on a beautiful beach on Cape Cod! Totally loving this summer weather! Summer in New England only lasts a blink, so I'm trying to take advantage of every moment!!!

So you probably hopped here from Helen's blog! I KNOW she has something amazing for us this week!!! Then on to Sandy's!!! She always has a beautiful creation for us to see!!!

Here's my card this week:

So I got to play with a bunch of my new goodies! There are 3 stamp sets here! Yup! I know that's a lot, but I just couldn't stop! lol

So first is the Weather Together stamp set! I love this umbrella! It's not supposed to be a beach umbrella, but that's all that's on my mind right now! lol No rain!!! The cool thing is it has a great Umbrella Weather Framelit set that coordinates. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo, but at the edge of the umbrella, there's some embossing going on. That's actually a separate framelit in the set! There are several to choose from! Love that!!!

Next is Botanical Blooms stamp set. That's just the leaves in the corner! I love those leaves! Tropical.  They are cut out with the Botanical Builder Framelits.  The stamps were used for the details in the leaves.

Lastly, the every popular & frequently used Gorgeous Grunge! Ya, it made the specks on the sand. That's all.

I used another of my 16-18 In-Color Enamel Shapes. I think I've already used more than half a package! They are so versatile!!! Love em!!!

So a fairly simple card, but it shows where my mind is right now-at the beach!!! And that's where it will remain until further notice! lol  So take 5 from the sun & go hop around a bit! Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!!!
