This month our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop is going masculine! Yup. We are creating cards for guys! Masculine cards can be a challenge so this is a great place to get some good ideas! Maybe even some Father's Day ideas!
Here's my card:
The Front! |
So my guys love to occasionally have that glass of whiskey or scotch as an nightcap after dinner. The hubby loves his Bird Dog Whiskey & the son loves his Jameson! So this stamp set, Whiskey Business, made me think of the guys in my life! It's a pretty cool stamp set.
It's all cut out with the Scalloped Contour Dies. Ok, honestly. I don't think I've made a card without them since I got them! lol They are amazing!!!!! The inside of the card uses the inside of the frame on the front. Then a smaller die cut out the whiskey bottle! And an even smaller one cut out the sentiment! And I didn't even use 2 of them! One of the best die sets they've ever come out with in my opinion! They and the Color and Contour stamp set are part of the Color & Contour Bundle-save 10% when purchased as a bundle! I did use the splatter stamp from that stamp set! lol
The embossing folder is the Tasteful Textures. I also used the new Elegant Faceted Gems as embellishments as I felt they looked like bubbles! Now I know no bubbles in whiskey but still! lol Finished it off with good 'ole Wink of Stella! Even the guys get bling! lol
So now hop over to Sharon's blog & see her guy card! Simply click on her name here or the icon below!!! Then keep going! Lots of great ideas here!
Happy Stampin'!
And don't forget our new
'21-'22 Annual Catalog is now live!!!!
Great card, Joni! And it's nice you even give the guys a little bling with their whiskey!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea using the outside die cut on the inside! Not only did we pick the same stamp set, we also used the same embossing folder! LOL

ReplyDeleteI love the layering with the dies and the embossing folder and image!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic card! Love the dimension you created on front. Had not noticed those dies yet, but they look like I just may need them in my stash, too! Thank you for sharing!
