PPP BLOG HOP-MEANINGFUL FLOWERS

Hello & welcome to this month's Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! Ok, not gonna lie! This was a tough one to redesign!!! I LOVE this kit! These cards are so pretty on their own!!! They can work for any occasion!!! They are just so pretty!!! But I did come up with a couple of alternatives of my own!

Here are the cards as designed in the kit!

There are 2 designs.

Here are the 2 alternatives I came up with:

I didn't want to mess with the card bases that came with the kit because they're so pretty!!!! So I decided to have fun with the exclusive stamps included in the kit!

I decided to keep with the colors of the kit! I also broke my own Paper Pumpkin alternative rule-to only use what's in the kit to create alternatives! lol But these stamps-oh my! lol

The first is simply stamped on Basic White cardstock and colored in with       Stampin' Blends! Add a colorful base, some Tahitian Tide Metallic Woven Ribbon & a Brushed Brass Butterfly & it's a fun card!  Hard to tell in the picture, but the images are embossed in black-makes easier coloring.

The second uses the original base that is embossed with the                         Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The stamps are beautiful Distinctive stamps so they have the most beautiful image! I just threw in a bit of shading with the Blends & it's basically a done deal!

Hope you enjoyed!!! I'm sure that even tho you love this kit, you will find some super inspiration as you peruse the beautiful blogs below! Don't miss any of them! They are all amazing!!!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU-COUNTRYSIDE INN SUITE

Happy August New at SU Blog Hop Day!!! lol We are a worldwide group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators sharing some exciting ideas for you to use with our amazing products! This month we are featuring the  many suites in our catalog! These are great coordinated groups of materials that you can use to create! No need to search through all your supplies-simply pull out all the products in the suite & get stampin'!

Here's my card:

So this month I've decided to feature the Countryside Inn Suite. It includes the Countryside Inn Bundle-stamp & dies, the fabulous                          Countryside Inn 12x12 DSP, and the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder! I've used them all here!

This is a simple fun fold! Not sure what it's called, but it is so simple to make! And it's a great way to display your DSP!  And this DSP is soooooo pretty!!!! I love blues!

The graduated dies are really great! They allow you to give mattes & backings to your sentiments or images and then feature them nicely on your card! This stamp set has some pretty variations for the frames, but no sentiments.  I used one from the Hope You Know stamp set!

The only other materials used on this card are the Butterfly embellishments! The embossing really makes it pop I think. What do you think?

Now for more ideas on all our amazing suites click on one of our blogs listed below! There are so many different styles, ideas, designs, etc., from all over the world-literally!!! I know you'll find some inspiration as you hop through!!!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-SWEET CITRUS

Happy August! Who can believe summer is starting to wind down?! It just started!!! But here on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are still celebrating summer with some fun techniques! How are you using your stamps, inks & paper?          Well we are showcasing cards this month with a focus on the technique used to create the card! I bet you'll find some great new ideas!!!

Here's my card:

Now I don't know the name of the technique I used! lol Not even sure it has one! It's just something I like to do! It involves adding some random colors to a piece of Basic White cardstock using a Blending Brush. In this case, the colors are Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie. Just throw it on randomly!

Next, using Versamark ink, stamp an image. In this case the image is the flower from Sweet Citrus! Emboss with clear embossing powder. Looks nice right?       Well to really make it pop I simply spritz the whole piece with my Stampin' Spritzer. It helps blend the colors & really make the image pop!                       Now maybe it would spread a bit more on watercolor paper, but I really like how it looks on the Basic White!

Then I just added the fun elements from the stamp set using the                    Sweet Citrus coordinating dies to cut them out! Words were stamped & fussy cut! I just love the subtle look of the shiny images in the background! Hope you do too!

Other items used are Metallic Woven Ribbon, Loose Daisy Embellishments, Clear Embossing Powder, Wink of Stella.

Next up is Deb! I know she has something really cool for you! Simply click on her name here or on the icon below! Then keep going! And enjoy our last official month of summer!!!

Happy stampin'!!!
