ICS BLOG HOP-DRAGONFLY DREAMS

This month on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we have a color challenge!!! We could use only the 3 colors below (with a spattering of black or white!). This was a real challenge for me! These colors are beautiful together, but I wouldn't have chosen them to use together. Plus, I haven't stocked up on embellishments in all the new colors yet!!  I always enjoy a challenge though! And I like this one!!!

Here is the color challenge:

Here is my card:

I am on a kick with this particular "fancy fold" cards lately! I think they add just a little extra fun!! I was randomly going through my stamps & decided to use the Dragonfly Dreams! It's such a pretty stamp set-especially when you can combine it with the Dragonfly Detail Thinlet Dies!!

The embossing on the front is the beautiful Layered Leaves. I thought it would be appropriate that the dragonfly needs leaves to land on! lol  That dragonfly was cut first with the solid Blackberry Bliss, then the detailed over piece was cut from the Vellum Card stock & colored on the back with the                 Stampin' Markers! I just finished it off with some Basic Rhinestone Jewels!  I even added some fun to the inside! I love how the big dragonfly is "peeking" over the top!

This 3-fold card is kind of fun! In fact, you get 2 cards from 1 sheet of card stock! Just like when making regular cards!!  You can use them either portrait or landscape orientation Here is the other one I did.

I kept with the same color scheme.  The little kangaroo from the             Animal Outing stamp set set was colored with the Blackberry Bliss ink pad & the Aqua Painter, but the color didn't carry over like I'd hoped. It's a bit pink! I actually double checked the ink pad to be sure it was the correct color! lol But still a cute card!  Simple cards but cute to give to a friend!

So now hop over to Ginger's blog & enjoy her creation! Click on her name or the icon below!!! Then keep going! Lots to see using these 3 cool colors-all returning In-Colors I might add!!!

Happy Stampin'!

Now this cheery card was created for a co-worker who was moving on to a new job! I will miss her a ton, but she is off to bigger & better things!  I thought it was kind of a different way to say goodbye!!!!

The DSP used is the beautiful Garden Impressions 6x6 DSP Pack!!! Oh the colors here!!!!! The flowers are so bright & beautiful! But I wanted to feature the back of the pages. We always go for those beautiful prints, but the more subtle reverse sides are so useful for backgrounds, etc! Perfect for this card! To take advantage of this AMAZING DEAL, simply click HERE!!!!

The stamp is of course the adorable Lemon Zest cut out with the
Lemon Builder Punch. At first I was like "eh" with this set, but now I'm totally in love!!! So many fun uses!!!!!!

The little "dots" or background on the Whisper White is from the
Birthday Backgrounds stamp set! Again, not every set needs to be used for the occasion its named for!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-ACCENTED BLOOMS

Welcome to our brand new In-Colors in our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!!! Our new Annual Catalog has just launched, and it brings some pretty amazing things! I look forward each year to a new batch of In-Colors, and this year's definitely don't disappoint!!!! So vibrant & brilliant! I can't wait to really explore these new colors along with all the other new goodies in this super, amazing catalog!!!

So here are the new '18-'19 In-Colors:

And here is my card this month:

Now I always love to follow a "clean & simple" line with my cards. I love all the fanciness hat everyone else does, but when I do it, it looks like my craft studio just spewed all over the the card! lol I can't seem to make it work! So I stick to the CAS!

This one I actually went old school with the Stampin' Markers to do the coloring of the flowers! This little stamp set Accented Blooms is so versatile!! You can add any sentiment from any stamp set that fits in the               Tailored Tag Punch!!! It's a nice combo to work with.

I actually cut out the flower image here because I wanted to In-Colors in the background, but it also looks great just stamped on the card base-works great for a 1-layer card!!!

Anyway, I use the amazing Basket Weave embossing folder whenever I can! lol I just love it! Such a fun image!! And the 1/8" In-Color Grosgrain Ribbon works on just about anything! I wish it came in every color not just the
In-Colors!!!!

Hard to tell in the pic but I added a bit of Wink of Stella to give the flowers a bit of "bling"! I'm all about the bling!

So now hop on to Debbi's blog & enjoy her In-Color creation-then keep going for some amazing inspiration!!! Simply click on her name or the icon below!  There are some talented crafters on this hop, so you don't want to miss a single one!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!!

PAPER PUMPKIN-YOU ARE MY ANCHOR!

Hello Hoppers! This month on the Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop we are featuring probably my favorite Paper Pumpkin kit yet!!!!!!  You Are My Anchor is right in my wheelhouse!!! It makes an adorable little set of cards as is, but so many options for coolness also! See, I am from Cape Cod! So anything nautical or ocean is my happy place!!! I love this set!!!!

So here's what I did:

This is a card to give with one of these amazing little gift sets that is made with the kit:

I tried to use mostly pieces from the kit to showcase how you really don't need a ton of other stuff to make these kits so versatile! Here I just used a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock for the card base!!! That's pretty much it! Oh and a small piece of Island Indigo to make the lighthouse "pop"!!!  Super simple, but makes a great card to give with the little card set!!!!

I even decorated the inside:

Hope you enjoyed & are getting some alternative ideas to your April Paper Pumpkin kit!!!! I can't say enough how much I love this kit!!!  So now hop over to Tricia's blog & see how she altered the materials to make something awesome!!! Then keep going!!!! Just click on her name or the little pumpkin below!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-MIXED DRINKS

I can't believe it's May already!!!! Our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop this month is about masculine cards!!! We usually try to post a month ahead to give you time to plan-this time for Father's Day! Perfect time to focus on masculine cards!!!

Here's my masculine card:

So this was a super fun one to do!!!!  I'm actually so excited because everything on this card will continue over into the brand new Annual Catalog which will go live in June!!!!  Every year we wait anxiously for all the new amazingness, but also with fingers crossed that our faves will make the cut!! Mine did with this card!!!

The background DSP is the Wood Textures DSP Stack. It's rare that DSP sticks around, but seriously, how could they not with this pack!!!

The stamp set is Mixed Drinks!!! It fits just so many different purposes!!! And what guy wouldn't want a nice cold beer!!! lol

The sentiment is cut from the Happy Birthday Thinlets! I simply cut twice-once with the Whisper White & once with the Pacific Point! I think it looks cool!!!!

The 2 little screws are simply circles punched from the Silver Foil Sheets with a score mark down the middle! And the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter works great as the foam!!!  Finish it off with some Burlap Ribbon!!

So a super fun card!  Can't wait to see the other masculine cards in this hop!!!! Be sure you keep going to Audra's blog! Simply click her name or the icon below & you'll get there!!!! Then keep going! Enjoy, and feel free to leave a comment!!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-HANGING GARDEN

So this month on our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are celebrating "girls" with "It's a Girlie Thing"!!  Mother's Day is really right around the corner-although here in New England it feels like Christmas is coming! Nasty winter weather continues.  So I'm happy to share this card with ya to help me think "spring"!!!

First, here's my card this month:

So this was created with the oh-so-beautiful Hanging Garden stamp set!!! I so love it!!!! I've already used it so many times!!!! But I thought this one was a pretty "girlie" kinda card!

This black-line stamp set is perfect to feature our amazing new Blendabilities found for the first time in our Spring Occasions Catalog!! Unfortunately, they are all on backorder right now, but they will surely become available soon as they will be available in the brand new Annual Catalog beginning June 1!!!! As a demonstrator, I get a sneak peek at the new catty at our On Stage conference this coming Saturday! So excited!

Anyway, the Blendabilities are the perfect blending/coloring tools! Brush on one end, fine tip on the other! They come in 2-color pairings-1 light & 1 dark!!! So pretty!!! Oh, and did I say super easy to use?!  Just stamp the image with the Memento Ink stamp pad & color away!!!!

This simple card uses only the stamp set, card stock, the Triple Banner Punch, and some Flirty Flamingo Ribbon!!!  There's also a hint of
Wink of Stella to give it a bit of bling, but it never seems to show up in photos!!!

Now hop on over to Megan's blog & enjoy her creation-then keep going for some more beauties! Just click on her name or the icon below!  Thanks for joining us this month!

Happy Stampin'!

PAPER PUMPKIN POP UP BLOG HOP- MAY GOOD THINGS GROW

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity! The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this
March Paper Pumpkin kit: May Good Things Grow.

First, here's my project:

With many of my MPP projects, I like to make little boxes or frames or fun
things like that. But this kit is so pretty & lends to cards so well that I just
decided to "step it up" a bit!

So it's a "modified" version of the eclipse cards that are so popular right now!
But it's not exactly that! I just cut out some of the flowers & raised them up for dimension.

The card is actually part of one of the envelopes! I just thought it was so
pretty! I used some Fresh Fig & Flirty Flamingo card stock to make the
card base, but otherwise everything is from the kit! Our special treat this
month to celebrate 5
years of My Paper Pumpkin are these really cool wooden embellishments!!!
Luv luv luv!!! I used my marker to color this one!
