Hello there! Welcome to yet another edition of
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
Maybe you're visiting from Helen's blog! So glad you're here! I know her design was full of great inspiration! I love to CASE her! ;)
So this week's color challenge is
Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
OR
Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray, Basic Black
I love Rich Razzleberry. Probably one of my fave Stampin' Up! colors!! Well, the first batch of colors sound like some I've used in the recent past, so I went with the second batch!
Now, Basic Gray & Basic Black together seem like an unlikely combination, but when I thought Basic Gray, I immediately thought "elephant"! Ok, don't know why, but I did! Fortunately, I have a stamp set with an elephant! The totally fab You're Amazing stamp set!!!!
Here's my card this week:
Now trying to make this one work was a bit challenging! I had a vision, but it wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to. I made a few tweaks & came out with something I like! Still a lot of "white" space, but I think it works! kinda hard to tell with the poor quality of the photos, but I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the squirly designs on the outsides. They really are 2-toned!
Here's a closeup of the little guy that started the whole card:
And of course, finish it up with some bling, & voila!
Hope ya like it! Now "hop" on over to Laura's blog! She's so "lah dee dah"!!! lol! I love the whimsy of so many of her beautiful creations! She always makes me smile!
Continued apologies for the lack of picture quality! Still waiting for my NEW camera to be returned! They're not honoring the warranty!! Gah! I guess a new one is on the menu! Dang! But thanx to my little old Canon Power Shot I at least have pics to post!
Happy Stampin'!!!
Oh, I like it! Never would have thought to have that cute ele marching along up there. Love it. Great use of the colors. Hugs.
