COLORING WITH SNOWFLAKES!

How ironic is it that as I post in this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop that it's actually snowing here! Yup! Yuck! lol  You'll see the irony below!

Well if you're visiting from Helen's blog, I hope you're having better luck with the weather than I am!

 So this week's colors are
Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, and Pink Pirouette
     OR
Calypso Coral, Chocolate Chip, and Wild Wasabi
And the added piece -  add a Snowflake!

See the irony? lol

So here's the card!

I chose the second group of colors because I had a hard time thinking snowflakes with the first group of colors! Very interesting! Hmmm!

So I used my Northern Flurry embossing folder to set the base for the "snow storm"!
But then I went for the snowflake!
I used my Best of Snow for that one! I combined the Wild Wasabi & Irradescant Ice embossing powders in a little container.

Here's a closeup of the snowflake. You can kinda see the sparkle here! It does sparkle in person-trust me!!! lol

The sentiment is a simple stamp from Sweet Essentials. Didn't wanna make it a Christmas card because with the unusual colors, I can use this in January or February. Snowflakes aren't ONLY for Christmas! lol

So "sled" on over to Liz's blog & see what she did with the impending "storm"!!!

The "12 Cards of Christmas" begins soon!! Be sure to check in!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

  1. This week I just couldn't wait to see what everyone did with the challenge. I had a hard time with the colors and using a snowflake with them, but yours look like it just fell together. Great job, great card.
