COLORING DOWN THE PRETTY LINES!!!

Well hello there! As you read this, I am finishing up my packing to get on a plane later today for our vacation in Germany!!! We are going to Oktoberfest!!! This is a bucket list trip so I am over the top excited! Not too excited to "hop" tho!!! So welcome to this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!!

Hey all from Helen's blog!!! And to those just starting here!!! We are so glad you are "hopping" with us this week!!! Be sure to keep going! Liz's blog is next! I love being the bologna in Helen & Liz's sandwich!!! (heehee)

So here is my card:

Here is the inspiration:

Here are the MDS Stampin' Up! colors we used:

Unfortunately I've had to make far too many sympathy cards lately. This one is going to a special stampin' friend who just lost her dad. She is one of the most talented stampers I know so I had to make it beautiful! Hope she likes it!!!

I went a little wild with he flower!! I used Beautiful Bunch & Flower Shop for stamp sets. The shape in the center is cut with the Labels Collection Framelits. Notice something new??? Yup! That's the new
Filigree Frame Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog!  I will be using this for many cards! I love how it outlines the center! Really cool!!!!
Worked well with my Melon Mambo Blendabilities too!!!!

And yup, I'll fess up to some retired stuff.  The sentiment is from the good ole' Close as a Memory.  And of course a bit of retired ribbon. But it's still awesome stuff!!!

I used my fun new hot glue technique I learned at convention to make the centers of the flowers! Wanna learn how? Great class technique!

So I hope you enjoyed the card. My deepest love & sympathy to Donna & her family.

Watch for next week's post! Straight from Germany!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!
