COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!

I'm sitting here posting during our first summer-like thunder storm. Gently rolling thunder. Flashing lightning.  I sure hope it means summer's here to stay!!!! So time to hop!!! It's
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
time again!!!

Welcome hoppers from Helen's blog!  Next hop on over to Sandy's blog & see what we all have in store for you this week!

Here's this week's card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
Now as you can see, this week I went in a completely opposite direction of the inspiration photo! I needed a card for a teenage boy for a 15th birthday. I never know what to do for that age group. The standard masculine cards really hold no weight with a kid that age. And the kid ones are too "kid"!  Love this stamp set for that reason. It works for anything!

So this is one of the amazing new Hostess Sets you can get from the brand new Annual Catalog! I don't usually get the Hostess sets because as a demonstrator, I can't demo them after the catalog is retired. There's never a chance of Hostess sets carrying over. But this year's are so pretty!!! I just had to have this one! It's called Love You Lots!!! These little critters are so stinking cute!!!!

So for a guy, my mantra is KISS (Keep it Simple Stamper!-ha, not where you thought I was going is it? lol) So just the Circle Framelits in the center of the card works.  The Large Polka Dots embossing folder was the perfect complement.

Hard to tell, but of course, as with all my cards, there is a bit of bling with   Wink of Stella. Don't know what I ever did without that! Clearly my fave new item!!!  Oh, and that cure little frog was colored using my Aqua Painter

So just a simple little fun card I thought was appropriate for a teenage boy. Simple, yet effective!!! Enjoy!  And keep hopping!!!

Happy Stampin'!
