COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

We are in our last real week ( I hope! lol) of winter loving' here at the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!
I'm so over winter already, & it really just started!!! This week we are once again looking at shades of blue with a snow theme, but the kicker is we need to use an embossing folder that is not Softly Falling! That's a tough one because that's a perfect folder for snow! lol

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog! Make sure you keep hopping on to
Lizzy's blog to get some great snowy ideas!!! And keep going! Perfect for the snow days that are bound to keep us stampin' in the near future! Ugh!

Here's my snowy card this week:

So the folder I chose to use is the Woodlands Embossing Folder!  It always reminds me of a walk through the woods-whatever the weather! But right now my woods look very white having just had an 8" snowfall. Nothing for us New Englanders, but it's still pretty white!

Now I don't like how the bottom of this photographed. I tried so many photos to get the sparkle to show up! The Dazzling Diamonds Glitter doesn't really pop as nicely in the picture. But in real life it truly looks like glittering snow!

The stamp sets used are the snowflakes from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set and the sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set.  Sentiment was cut out using
Lots of Labels Framelits!

The beautiful ribbon is from the new Occasions Catalog. It's from the
3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo 2-pack! The other one has pretty gold in it! Great ribbon!!

So I hope you felt snowy today! I'm so not a fan of snow & very much looking forward to spring!! But this snowy card warmed my heart!  Hope it did yours too!

Happy Stampin'!

  1. Love your card - especially the white at the bottom. How'd you do that?

  2. Nice card, and I like the ribbon. I know what you mean about the dazzling diamonds. I used lots of it and also some mica and even some wink of stella. Most of that does not photograph well. But your creation still looks snowy and nice.
