NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-BOOKMARK GIFT CARD HOLDER

This month our New at SU Blog Hop we are featuring anything but a card! As stampers, we do like to create different paper crafts! This hop will give you some fun, creative ideas on what else you can do with all you Stampin' Up! products!!!

Here's what I made:

So I call this a "Bookmark Gift Card Holder"! Now it opens like a card but it's so much more!!  I designed this for my dog-loving friend to go with a Barnes & Noble gift card.  I haven't bought it yet tho! lol It would work for any gift card tho. I thought the bookmark made sense. But you could probably add a candy cane or maybe pencils/pens/or markers or something to go with a different gift card. Lots of room for alternatives here.  The piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock is in there as a marker since I didn't have the gift card.

It was created using 1 sheet of 11x8 1/2 cardstock. It's simply a 3-fold with a bit cut out to create the fold for the gift card.

The DSP is from one of my faves this season-Sweet Stockings 12x12 DSP pack.  The Cherry Cobbler print is the backside of all the adorable puppies & kitties! The dogs are fussy cut from the front. I have so many pet-loving friends that I had to have this DSP!

The bookmark is simply a 1 1/2" piece of cardstock with the end punched with the Tailored Tag Punch. Add a hole punch & some beautiful                              Cherry Cobbler & Gold Ribbon & you have a bookmark!

Stamp sets used are the Peaceful Cabin and Snowman Season. Other products used are the Layering Circles Dies and the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Next up on our hop is Joyce. Simply click on her name here or on the icon below!

I would like to wish you all a very happy Holiday season, and blessings for a happy, healthy & new year filled with love.  See you in '22!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

INSPIRE, CREATE, SHARE BLOG HOP-SNOWFLAKE WISHES THANK YOU

Here we are on our last Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop of 2021! Where did this year go?? Well we are showing our "thanks" this month! For oh so many things!

Here's my card this month:

This is designed as a thank you for some amazing Christmas gifts or hospitality or fun!  The card is designed using Snowflake Wishes. This is one of my beloved stamp sets from the Annual Catalog. I used the matching                                 So Many Snowflake Dies to cut the snowflakes!

I'm not sure if there's an actual name for this type of card but I call it a "peek-a-boo" card. The sentiment is heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder on the inside, but it shows through the opening in the front cut with the                Layering Circle Dies. Kind of a 2-for-1!

I had to use my Peaceful Place 12x12 DSP! I don't want to waste one single inch of that paper! When I saw it in the Holiday Mini, I wasn't sure about it.  Pretty but eh.  Until I saw it in person! It is one of my favorite DSP packs EVER!!!! This paper is gorgeous! And it pairs so well with this equally beautiful                                  Silver Foil Specialty DSP Pack!

I thought the Metallic Mesh Ribbon worked perfectly with the snowflakes. It was originally designed as like a spider web-for Halloween. But I think it looks like cracked ice-winter chilly! I used it more for winter cards than I ever did for spider webs!

Other products used are the Stitched Rectangle dies and the                      Elegant Faceted Gems

So next up on the hop is Janey.  Simply click on her name or the icon below.

And I would like to add here that I am most thankful for you all for joining me on my Stampin' Up! journey! My customers, followers, commenters, fellow stampers, etc. You all made my 2021 a bit brighter! I appreciate you all! Best wishes for a wonderful Holiday Season & blessings for a safe, healthy & happy New Year!       See you in '22!!!

Merry Stampin'!

PAPER PUMPKIN POSSIBILITIES BLOG HOP-GIFTS GALORE

This month's Paper Pumpkin kit-Gifts Galore-is so much fun! Took some thinking to get an alternative going, but once I did get going I couldn't stop! lol Seems to be the way!

Here's the featured project:

Here is what the original designs in the kit look like:

This is such a cute kit. I will admit I'm not always good with the crafty kits. I do prefer the cards-only because I don't really have much use for them. But they really are so well done! This one I can see giving some cute Christmas gifts! But the alternatives are cards! This kit makes GREAT cards!!!!

I try to keep the materials to those included in the kit, but had to break "out of the box" a bit this time!  Mostly cardstock for the card bases. But I did try to keep it mostly to the kit.  It just shows the versatility!

The 2 following are a couple of fun folds! The nice big images are perfect for that!!! A bit of fancy cutting & you're good to go!! Not much else needed!

Now hop over to Terri's blog & see what she came up with!!! Simply click her name here or the icon below! Then keep going! Can't wait to get these all sent!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-SNOWFLAKE WISHES

So this month we are focusing on Holiday cards! My Christmas card is a "chilly" reminder of what's to come! lol

Here it is:

So this is a fairly simple card yet I think it packs a punch! The "snow" at the bottom is masked off with post-it notes. Three colors-Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and   Night of Navy were then blended on using the Blending Brushes. That piece was then cut into 3 simple strips & attached. Easy peasy!

Cue the Adorning Designs Decorative Mask! I simply went over it with the darkest color-Night of Navy-to create the 'snowstorm"! I did try it first with the            White Pigment Ink but it just didn't show. Funny how the navy snowflakes make a white landscape, but it's all good! lol

That piece was then cut into 3 simple strips & attached. Easy peasy!

I made a little "snowstorm" inside! lol

The sentiment from the beautiful Snowflake Wishes stamp set was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Add one of the                   Wonderful Snowflakes (SU please continue these into the Annual Catalog!) and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels & it's done! The twine is from the                Flower for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack in the Annual Catalog.  The tag is cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

I also did one on a white background. They are both nice but give a different "feeling"! Comment below which you prefer!

Next up is Rochelle. Hop on over to her blog. Simply click on her name here or the Icon below! See ya next month!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-PEACEFUL PLACE

This month's Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop is celebrating our             Christmas creations!!!

Now is the time to get your Christmas cards done! We will share some great cards with you here so be sure to hop along & check them all out!

So let's get to it!

Here's my card to share:

Now I was very ambivalous about this Peaceful Place Suite when I first saw it. Loved it, but wasn't sure about grays & blacks on Christmas cards. But, I loved it so had to have it! And wow did it win me over!                                              Especially the Peaceful Place 12x12 DSP and the Cabin Dies! I've used this way more than I ever thought I would! It's just so pretty! And once I got going with the Christmas thing, it gave me that warm-cozy-on-a-snowy-day feel!

This is a spanner card. I thought it looked kinda cool with the cabin in the "background"! The only real stamping on this is the "For You" sentiment from the Peaceful Cabin Stamp set.  Isn't it fun how it stands up?

This sentient is heat embossed on the acetate strip! And the beauty is it folds perfectly flat and fits inside a standard envelope!!!

The trees are cut using the beautiful 12x12 Silver Foil sheets! 3 different shades of silver that are absolutely gorgeous! I also used the same to cut the frame with the Rectangle Dies. I thought it looked like you were looking out a window!

The back is the place for your greeting and/or personal message! I will admit to using the stamp set here from the Peaceful Christmas October Paper Pumpkin! I absolutely love this stamp set, and it just seemed to fit this piece perfectly! It's the only pop of color! lol It has the best greetings in the best sizes! It was designed to go with the Peaceful Place Suite! I know the refill kits are out, but unfortunately the stamp set is not included! The supplies, however, make beautiful cards with stamp sets you already have!!!!

So next up is Darla. Hop to her blog by clicking her name here or the icon below! Say hello! Then keep going! And even tho this is a Christmas hop, it's November-so Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours! See you next month!

Happy Stampin'!

PAPER PUMPKIN POSSIBILITIES BLOG HOP-PEACEFUL CHRISTMAS

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! Here we sample some amazing alternatives to your Paper Pumpkin kit!

I will say, however, this month it was a challenge!  Why?  Well because this kit is so pretty on it's own, it's really hard to top! lol I almost didn't want to change anything! But once I got going I couldn't stop! lol

So here's the featured card:

So I normally like to keep to what's in the kit for the alternatives-so you can see how to use just the supplies to change it up!
But this month's kit coordinates with the Peaceful Place Suite Collection in the Fall Mini Catalog! I must say that this has surprisingly become my favorite suite in the catalog! I never thought of black/gray/white for Christmas cards!
But Stampin' Up! has made this really feel like winter to me! I love it-even though I hate winter! lol So I had to go to the other products to create!

In this monochromatic card I used the dies to create this beautiful cabin! There is also a hint of the Gold Shimmer Vellum for the windows!  It looks like such a peaceful cabin on a snowy winter night!

Here are a couple of the others I did. Some of them use materials from the suite, but others are exclusively from the kit!

Just one of the stamps from the free stamp set that came with the kit! Oh, and a bit of pretty Real Red Sheer Ribbon!

Boy did I have fun with the negative vellum piece!!! Used them on multiple cards!

Below are the kit originals for comparison! Beautiful as is, right???

I hope you enjoyed this month's alternatives. Next up is Debbi! Be sure to check out what she has for you! Simply click her name or the icon below!!!

Happy Stampin'!

NEW AT SU BLOG HOP-MASCULINE CARDS-TIDINGS AND TRIMMINGS

It's time to see what's New at SU! This month we are featuring masculine cards! Now these can be a bit of a challenge! We love to make things all pretty! And we have lots of "pretty" stamp sets!

My theory on masculine cards is simple, clean lines. Minimal embellishments. But still something nice.

Here's my card:

So this is a masculine Christmas card. Masculine is always a challenge for me. And especially a Christmas card!  I am totally focused on Christmas crafting right now! lol It gets here so quickly! And I usually end up creating them so late that I don't have time to mail them before Christmas! lol This year-I'm on it!!!!!

I featured the Tidings & Trimmings Suite with this card. The stocking is cut using the Christmas Trimmings Dies, and the sentiment is from the                     Tidings & Trimmings stamp set!                                                                          All the DSP is from the Tidings of Christmas 6x6 DSP!
This beautiful suite can be found in our August-December 2021 Mini Catalog!

This is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" fun fold! It's called an "easel card" because it can stand like an easel for display!
I used the amazing Holly Border Punch to create the "stopper" for the cover. It rests up against the strip so it stands for display!

I added a pop of color behind the berries on the punch. I thought it worked nicely to bring in some color from the sentiment, Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and the DSP. Now I know "bling" isn't always great on a masculine card, but I mean, it's Christmas! lol The holly leaves on the stocking are actually the punch outs from the border strip!

One little touch I've become fond of doing with this suite is the topper on the stocking. I stamped & die cut the top from the Snow White Velvet Sheets! It's like how the stockings have that fluffy top! Looks really cool in person. You really can tell it's textured!

The Tidings of Christmas 6x6 DSP is perfect for a nice masculine Christmas card! Lots of clean, simple lines. And the print is not a flowery & feminine!

Now hop over to Annette's blog to check out her masculine card! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! Then keep hopping around the world-literally! We are a global blog hop! Please feel free to leave comments! We love to hear from you!

Happy Stampin'!
