This month on our New at SU Blog Hop we are featuring beauties from the August-January Mini Catalog

So much in this catalog from Fall to Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas to New Years to Valentines-and more!!!! lol While I'm such a summer girl & really not willing to let it go, I've been enjoying creating some fall cards!

Here's my card:

This is a very simple card from a very simple stamp set-Welcoming Woods. But I think it's just such a lovely stamp set!!! These trees!!! I love tree cards! Now the true stamp has more variation in the actual tree trunks. I wanted a more full trunk tho.  So I filled in with my Early Espresso Stampin' Blends! Didn't really want the background showing through the middles of the tree trunks.

At first I thought I would put a ton of leaves & make it an early fall card, but I really liked how the shading came out & didn't want to cover it! lol

Now the shading was done with my inks & Blending Brushes! I love to blend colors, but I really don't believe I get it right often! I go too dark or too light, or wrong colors, etc. I think many of us are intimidated with blending like this. But I love how this came out. It was actually super easy! I think the Cajun Craze in the background almost looks like blurred trees in the distance. And the blue sky is as close to summer as I can get in a fall pic! lol

The background is the absolutely amazing Cork 12x12 Specialty Paper that is part of the Harvest Meadow Collection Suite. I thought it worked perfectly tho with the tree theme! It's a super nice textured DSP! A bit thinner than cardstock but heavier than actual paper. Plain on the back! Super easy to cut!

I would say this is a great masculine option for maybe a retirement, or a move, but certainly anyone would love to receive it! I left off bling so it would work for a masculine card. Add a little bling & could "girlie" it up!

I've had this Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon since it came out in the last catalog & have never used it-until recently-and now I have about 6" of it left-and can't wait to order some more! Wow, was I missing out on this! Such a nice ribbon to work with!!!!

The stamp set Counting Sheep is FREE with your $50 order! And as a bonus, they also feature the Sheep Dies-also FREE with a $50 order!!!! I mean seriously! How can you resist!!!

So this card was inspired by the Aerosmith song! Remember, I'm a New Englander! They are "homies"! lol We were talking about it recently & how it's a loud, rockin' song so who can actually go to sleep listening to it to actually dream! lol I immediately thought-count sheep! lol Don't ask me how my mind works! lol Thus the inspiration! lol

I used the amazing Ombre Glimmer Paper on this! Now this is not like any other glimmer paper!!! It doesn't rub off at all!!! So nice to work with! It's  ombre as well! That's not just the lighting on the pic!

The letters & numbers were cut out with the Playful Alphabet Dies! And it's tied off with this gorgeous Sheer Ribbon in Gorgeous Grape!

Here's the inside!

I usually leave the insides blank but this needed some white to write on! And the little sheep are peeking around the corner! I just love them! lol

This month we have a special Paper Pumpkin for you! It was designed by our founder, Shelli Gardner! There are 9 beautiful cards in a pretty box! The box is designed for gift giving, but alas, the USPS decided that wasn't gonna happen for me! lol All good! The cards are great! But we have some amazing alternative designs for you!

Here's my featured alternative this month:

Now as usual for me, for the alternatives, I try to keep to just the materials in the kit. I like to think "what if I was on vacation & wanted to make the kit"? That way it can be mobile, self-sufficient, & flexible!

This one has a lovely message-hope.  These days that often seems to be lacking, so it's a wonderful sentiment to send to someone. I'm sure you know someone who could use that boost!

Here are the original 3!

As is the case, once ya get going with the alternatives ya just can't stop! lol Here are a few others I came up with!

Now hop over  to my friend Janie's blog at her blog to see her alternative! Then keep going! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! We love comments so feel free to leave one!

Happy August!  Summer may be winding down but at Stampin' Up! we are winding up!!! Our new 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog just released! And with it came a great new Sale-A-Bration Catalog!!
Now we've never had a SAB catalog in the fall before so this is super exciting! That means more FREE stuff! That's right-FREE!! For every $50 that you spend you will be able to choose one of the amazing items in the SAB catalog for FREE!!!
So this month we decided to share with you some of the beauties that we came up with using the new SAB items!!!!!

Here's my card:

So the stamping is minimal on this card! It's actually a very simple card! This uses the beautiful Beautifully Penned DSP-FREE with your $50 purchase! This is a beautiful pack of a very deep charcoal gray & white DSP. It's designed to go with our Hand Penned Suite found in the Annual Catalog

But wait, it's gray & white you ask? So what is this? Well, This is actually that beautiful paper with the background colored with our Stampin' Blends-Pool Party here! Yup, you could make it any color you wanted!!!

The flowers are fussy cut from this DSP & blinged up with Wink of Stella! Tough to tell here but boy do they sparkle in person! They were just simply popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals on a piece of black cardstock!

And what about that ribbon!! Yup, it's the Gingham Ribbon from the new    Holiday Mini! I am kind of addicted to this ribbon! lol

The sentiment is from  the Timeless Tulips stamp set & punched out with the   Oval Punch!

Oh, one more new item! If ya look closely you can see some "greenery" behind the flowers. That comes from the new Christmas Trimmings Dies, also found in the Holiday Mini!

Finish it all off with my much used Black Matte Dots, & I think it's a pretty cool card! Very simple, yet packs a punch! Hope you agree!

Now it's time to hop over to my friend Deb's blog & see her SAB creation! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! Then keep going! Tons of great inspiration here from around the world!!!! There are so many wonderful items in this catty & reminder-it's all FREE!!!!!

Happy July! This month's Paper Pumpkin-The Adventure Begins-is full of fun & adventure! Just perfect for all the summer vacations! Maybe you like to camp. Maybe you like to fish. Maybe you just like to sit by the fire, roast marshmallows & tell stories. This stamp set brings out the best in this fun summer activities!       Well we are here to bring you some fun alternatives to the kit!
Awesome as it is, we are making it even more awesome!!!

So here's my alternative:

Oh, and here are the originals-as per the directions in the box!

Now this month the cards are unique in that they are a tri-fold.

I simply cut the scenery piece off & used it on some beautiful Bermuda Bay cardstock!  I stamped an extra tree & created a scene! I try hard to keep my alternatives to using just what's in the kit with the exception of some extra cardstock.  This kit had plenty of goodness to fit that bill!

I used my Blending Brushes to add some color to the cut-out tree! I'm not a fan of the white outline on a die cut so I tried to fix that. And the Granny Apple Green blended perfectly!!!!

I used the stamp set-which I can see coming out frequently with Christmas cards-to create the extra trees! AND I stamped the image on the waste cut-out part from the circle!

Seeing as I cut the piece from the tri-fold, I couldn't waste the other part! I created a card from that piece too! lol

Now go visit Debbi's blog & see her alternative! Simply click on her name or the icon below! Then keep hopping to get some great inspiration! Comments are always welcome!!!

So happy to be joining an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world to share some of the great products from Stampin' Up! This month on              New at SU Blog Hop we are looking at the amazing                                 Designer Series Papers (DSP's)!  There are a lot on sale this month so be sure to check it out!!

Here's my card for this month's hop:

The DSP I am featuring is the most amazing Expressions in Ink 12x12! This paper is gorgeous! It has so much pretty gold running through it! I decided to use a "mosaic" or "grouting" technique because I've used this pack so much I have a ton of scraps! Some packs live on forever & some go very quickly! This is one of the latter! It's just too pretty to sit in a package!

This technique involves using the scraps & laying them randomly. First, I used some Adhesive Sheets to cover a piece of white cardstock, then attached the scraps to that. But the fun part is filling in the cracks! I used some Gilded Leafing to fill in the cracks. I've done this with Embossing Powder also, but the leafing really brings out the gold in the DSP!

Then for the flowers & leaves I used the coordinating                                   Artistically Inked Cling Stamp set & cut out with the also coordinating          Artistic Dies!

Didn't have any Pear Pizazz Ribbon so I used a Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend to color a piece of the
White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon
! Love that the Blends are so versatile!

So now hop over to Rochelle's blog & keep hopping around the world to see some great creations featuring our Designer Papers! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! The list of all our hoppers is at the end of this post, so be sure not to miss any!!!

This month on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are featuring our beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP)! Much of it is on sale this month so we thought we'd share some beautiful inspirations for you! Our paper is gorgeous, hand-designed, 2-sided and of excellent quality! Works great on any card or project!

Here's my card:

This is probably one of my fave DSPs Stampin' Up! has ever created! This was literally hand drawn by our concept artists! It is just so pretty! I tried to keep the details simple so that the DSP was the true star of this show!

This is what is called a book bind card. Such an easy fun fold! I thought the      Hand Penned DSP was perfect for these cards because both sides of the paper can be used! This one has the beautiful new Evening Evergreen on the back and focuses on the Misty Moonlight and Pale Papaya with a bit of Garden Green on the front!  I think one of my fave things about this paper is how they've outlined the flowers in black but very delicately. It's a true watercolor look.

The flower was cut using the Hand-Penned Bundle, which includes the         Penned Flowers Dies and the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set. Throw in a bit of the Genial Gems & the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and it's a pretty card!

Now hop over to Sharon's blog to see her beautiful DSP design! Simply click her name here or the icon below! Then journey on through the hop! So many great ideas!

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Expressions in Color Blog Hop

Hello! This month's Paper Pumpkin kit is the best!!!

Expressions in Color Paper Pumpkin Kit gives you 9 beautiful cards to create-and coordinates so perfectly with the BEAUTIFUL                                       Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper (DSP)

On this hop you will find some amazing alternatives to the already amazing cards from the kit! Always so creative here!  Once I got going I couldn't stop! lol

So here's my alternate card:

I usually try hard to use just the items in the kit but this DSP cannot be ignored! and the stamp set that is included with the kit is super sweet also!

For this one I went a bit old school & actually colored the beautiful vellum flower piece that is included in the kit on the back with my Stampin' Blends.  I used a piece of the DSP as the background. Worst part of using this paper is deciding which side to use! It's all so pretty! But I wanted the flower to remain the focus so I went with a subtle piece!

The Bakers Twine, sentiment piece, & bling come from the kit!

Here is what the originals from the kit look like:

And I just couldn't stop! Here are a couple more I did! The second with only kit materials & the first with coordinating product. I really enjoyed creating the alternatives with this kit. The ideas were just flowing!

So now hop over to Debbi's blog & enjoy her alternative. Simply click on her name or the icon below! Keep going! So many more beauties to see! Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!

This month on our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we introduce you to the AMAZING new 2021-2023 In-Colors!!!! 5 beauties-Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen! Sound yummy don't they? Well let's get into it & see them in action!

Here's my card:

So many new items from our new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!!!                   First, the card is based in the Fresh Freesia! I love this softer purple! it goes well with almost all the other colors!                                                                       The base uses the '21-'23 In-Color 6x6 DSP Pack. Plenty in there to represent all the colors!! It is topped with a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock cut with the new Basic Borders Dies! Love em!

Flowers of Friendship is the bundle I used! It had the amazing                   Flowers of Friendship cling stamp set and the Flowers & Leaves punch!      10% savings on the bundle-just sayin'! So the stems were stamped with one of the images, but the flowers were punched with the punch!

And what about those flowers! They were cut with the oh so beautiful                   In-Color Shimmer Vellum! This is one of my fave products in a long time!!! It is so much prettier in person! And so easy to work with!!!

The insides of the flowers are the Loose Flowers Flourishes with one of the highly coveted In-Color Jewels! And the ribbon is the beautiful                                 Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon. And best yet it comes in all the new        In-Colors!!! Nice & soft & easy to work with! Great for tying bows!!!

The Layering Circles Dies were used to finish the card off with the sentiment!

So I did manage to get all the colors in here! They go so nicely together, and really compliment the older In-Colors!!! You gotta give them a try!

So lets now hop over to Darla's blog to see what she did with these amazing colors!  Simply click on her name or the icon below!!!Then keep going! Lots of great inspiration here!!! Hope you enjoyed!

This month our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop is going masculine! Yup. We are creating cards for guys!  Masculine cards can be a challenge so this is a great place to get some good ideas! Maybe even some Father's Day ideas!

Here's my card:

The Front!

The Inside!

So my guys love to occasionally have that glass of whiskey or scotch as an nightcap after dinner.  The hubby loves his Bird Dog Whiskey & the son loves his Jameson! So this stamp set, Whiskey Business, made me think of the guys in my life!  It's a pretty cool stamp set.

It's all cut out with the Scalloped Contour Dies. Ok, honestly. I don't think I've made a card without them since I got them! lol They are amazing!!!!! The inside of the card uses the inside of the frame on the front. Then a smaller die cut out the whiskey bottle!  And an even smaller one cut out the sentiment! And I didn't even use 2 of them! One of the best die sets they've ever come out with in my opinion! They and the Color and Contour stamp set are part of the                              Color & Contour Bundle-save 10% when purchased as a bundle! I did use the splatter stamp from that stamp set! lol

The embossing folder is the Tasteful Textures. I also used the new              Elegant Faceted Gems as embellishments as I felt they looked like bubbles! Now I know no bubbles in whiskey but still! lol Finished it off with good 'ole                Wink of Stella! Even the guys get bling! lol

So now hop over to Sharon's blog & see her guy card! Simply click on her name here or the icon below!!! Then keep going! Lots of great ideas here!

Happy Stampin'!

                                           And don't forget our new
                                '21-'22 Annual Catalog
 is now live!!!!
