PAPER PUMPKIN POSSIBILITIES- THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!

Happy July! This month's Paper Pumpkin-The Adventure Begins-is full of fun & adventure! Just perfect for all the summer vacations! Maybe you like to camp. Maybe you like to fish. Maybe you just like to sit by the fire, roast marshmallows & tell stories. This stamp set brings out the best in this fun summer activities!       Well we are here to bring you some fun alternatives to the kit!
Awesome as it is, we are making it even more awesome!!!

So here's my alternative:

Oh, and here are the originals-as per the directions in the box!

Now this month the cards are unique in that they are a tri-fold.

I simply cut the scenery piece off & used it on some beautiful Bermuda Bay cardstock!  I stamped an extra tree & created a scene! I try hard to keep my alternatives to using just what's in the kit with the exception of some extra cardstock.  This kit had plenty of goodness to fit that bill!

I used my Blending Brushes to add some color to the cut-out tree! I'm not a fan of the white outline on a die cut so I tried to fix that. And the Granny Apple Green blended perfectly!!!!

I used the stamp set-which I can see coming out frequently with Christmas cards-to create the extra trees! AND I stamped the image on the waste cut-out part from the circle!

Seeing as I cut the piece from the tri-fold, I couldn't waste the other part! I created a card from that piece too! lol

NEW AT SU-DESIGNER SERIES PAPER EXPRESSIONS IN INK

So happy to be joining an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world to share some of the great products from Stampin' Up! This month on              New at SU Blog Hop we are looking at the amazing                                 Designer Series Papers (DSP's)!  There are a lot on sale this month so be sure to check it out!!

Here's my card for this month's hop:

The DSP I am featuring is the most amazing Expressions in Ink 12x12! This paper is gorgeous! It has so much pretty gold running through it! I decided to use a "mosaic" or "grouting" technique because I've used this pack so much I have a ton of scraps! Some packs live on forever & some go very quickly! This is one of the latter! It's just too pretty to sit in a package!

This technique involves using the scraps & laying them randomly. First, I used some Adhesive Sheets to cover a piece of white cardstock, then attached the scraps to that. But the fun part is filling in the cracks! I used some Gilded Leafing to fill in the cracks. I've done this with Embossing Powder also, but the leafing really brings out the gold in the DSP!

Then for the flowers & leaves I used the coordinating                                   Artistically Inked Cling Stamp set & cut out with the also coordinating          Artistic Dies!

Didn't have any Pear Pizazz Ribbon so I used a Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend to color a piece of the
White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon
! Love that the Blends are so versatile!

So now hop over to Rochelle's blog & keep hopping around the world to see some great creations featuring our Designer Papers! Simply click on her name here or the icon below! The list of all our hoppers is at the end of this post, so be sure not to miss any!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-HAND PENNED DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

This month on the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop we are featuring our beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP)! Much of it is on sale this month so we thought we'd share some beautiful inspirations for you! Our paper is gorgeous, hand-designed, 2-sided and of excellent quality! Works great on any card or project!

Here's my card:

This is probably one of my fave DSPs Stampin' Up! has ever created! This was literally hand drawn by our concept artists! It is just so pretty! I tried to keep the details simple so that the DSP was the true star of this show!

This is what is called a book bind card. Such an easy fun fold! I thought the      Hand Penned DSP was perfect for these cards because both sides of the paper can be used! This one has the beautiful new Evening Evergreen on the back and focuses on the Misty Moonlight and Pale Papaya with a bit of Garden Green on the front!  I think one of my fave things about this paper is how they've outlined the flowers in black but very delicately. It's a true watercolor look.

The flower was cut using the Hand-Penned Bundle, which includes the         Penned Flowers Dies and the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set. Throw in a bit of the Genial Gems & the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and it's a pretty card!

Now hop over to Sharon's blog to see her beautiful DSP design! Simply click her name here or the icon below! Then journey on through the hop! So many great ideas!

Happy Stampin'!
