ALMOST SPRING?! CATALOG, THAT IS!!!

It's almost here!!!! The Spring Mini Catalog will go live on
Wednesday, January 3!!!
YOU. WILL. LOVE. IT!!!!!

So many fun items that make you think of the warmth of spring!!!! There are new framelits, stamp sets, embossing folders, fun tools, more Core'dinations paper, and soooo much more!!!! I can't wait to share it with all with you!!!

I recently participated in a swap for the new catalog items! A bunch of us demonstrators get together & share a creation with specific guidelines. These were to use new catalog items.
Now I haven't received the other swaps yet, but here's mine:

Now if you know me well, you know I'm a "beachy" kinda gal!!! After all, I'm from Cape Cod!!!! I grew up at the ocean! So whenever I see nautical or ocean stuff, I just gotta have it!!! More summery than springy I know, but still love it!!!

This is from a lovely stamp set called By The Tide. It's hard to tell, but on the left, there is a beautiful image of some sort of sea plant/weed. It is stamped & embossed in Pool Party embossing powder!!! That's right, Pool Party!!!!! That seems to be a color theme in the Spring Mini! The red is Rose Red.

So this is just a sneak peek! There are so many more fun stamp sets!!! So if you keep watching, you'll find lots more!!!

You can still order from the Holiday Mini! Just be sure to do it soon!!!!! Time is almost up!!!! While I will totally miss some of the Holiday Mini items, I am totally ready for spring!!! Bring it on!!!!

Also, don't forget the Clearance Rack Blitz!!! So much cool stuff has been added!!!! Only while supplies last!!!!

Be sure to check back for a listing of spring classes!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

THE ELEVENTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

Wow, it's already Christmas Eve!!! Where did the season go! I hope you had time to enjoy it! It should be a season filled with laughter, friends, family, joy.  Mine has been busy, but I'm glad I took the time to just relax a bit. Tonite is our beautiful midnight mass. Such a beautiful way to remember what the season is really about.

Soooo....
On the 11th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

...little ornament tags for the last minute gifts!!! This is once again some great retired DSP from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog, cut with the Holiday Ornament Framelits!  The stamp on the front is from the Holiday Ornaments stamp set, also from the Holiday Mini! I hope you got yours!!! Time is running out!!!

So here's the inside...

You can just see the edge of the round circle punch out where you can write your To/From!  Tape it on & you're ready to go!!!!!

So in your last minute prep for the big day tomorrow, take time to remember the "Reason for the Season", & be sure to get to sleep before Santa comes & brings you your Stampin' Up! treats for Christmas!!!!

Merry Stampin'!!

THE TENTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the 10th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

...a sneak peak at my goodies from the new Spring Mini Catalog preorder!!!!

Now you may have already received your new catalog. If you have, I'm sure you're drooling over it like I have been!!! But if you haven't received yours yet, let me know!!! I'll be sure to get you one!

We aren't supposed to show you the actual products from the catalog until it goes live on January 3, so I didn't give you too much eye candy here! After Christmas, I'll show you some really cool items made with this stuff tho! We CAN show you creations before January 3!!! lol

You will love the new stamp sets, Big Shot accessories, DSP, and all the other new cool items!!! There's a particular new accessory for the Simply Scored that I can't show you, but it's really cool!!! Can't wait to try it!!!!!
(Oh, and to further get you excited, there are a few items from Sale-a-Bration in that box also!!! Yup! It's almost that time again too!!! Begins January 22!!!)

So today is a great day to dream about those new Stampin' Up! sugarplums that are dancing in your head!!! Soon they'll be sitting under the tree!!! Everyone who ordered from their wishlist-your orders are all delivered!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!!

THE NINTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the 9th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

...a cute card made with Button Buddies-one of my favorite little cutie sets!

Ok, I will admit to "contraband" (aka non-Stampin' Up!) material on this card!!!! That ric-rac is from my sewing supplies!!! The "Season's Greeting" stamp is one I've had around from an old stamp set.  But the little guys look so cute here!!!

Now this is a 6"x6" card. I love the look of these. It's a much larger palate to show your work. Problem is, they are expensive to mail!!! Yup, extra postage required!!! Ugh!!! So this size card is for "giving" not sending!!! lol

Ok, so it's getting soooo close!!! Only 3 days left!!!!! Get your final wrapping done. Don't eat the rum balls just yet! They need another day to season!!! lol I personally will be cleaning like crazy!!!! We have a busy Christmas holiday at my house!!!

See you tomorrow!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

THE EIGHTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!!!

On the 8th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me....

...some fun stocking stuffer Post-It Note Pads!!!!  You will probably notice more retired paper from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog! Well, this is a perfect way to use it up!!! Just because it's retired doesn't meant it shouldn't be used!!!

I love these! All you do is cut a strip of paper 3-1/2"x7-1/2", and score at 3-1/2" & 4". Fold up, decorate, and attach the Post-It pad inside! I do that last, and simply run some Snail along the bottom of the pad!

Here's another shot...

Cute huh? So easy!!! These are great for the office, or students, or teachers.  I give them to family members also! Then they never have an excuse to say they forgot something!!! lol

So with only 4 day until Christmas, today is a great day to sit back & enjoy your Christmas tree with a loved one. Pretty soon it will get crazy. We never take the time to just enjoy the season! This is that perfect day.

Here's what I'm going to just sit and enjoy tonite:

THE SEVENTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the 7th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

...some beautiful tags inspired by an amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrator-although I'm sorry to say that I can't remember her name!!! If you're out there, please let me know who you are!!!!

These are perfect for all your gifts! They are simply cardstock (in this case, Lucky Limeade & Cherry Cobbler) cut out with the Holiday Ornament Framelits. And of course, there are scraps of  DSP from the Festival of Prints DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog! Boy, I got a lot of use out of that little paper pack!!!! Add a punch or 2 & some Glass Stampin' Glitter & these make wonderful little tags!! All packaged up for gift giving!!!

Here are the 2 packs...

So easy but such a cute set of tags!!! They sure don't use much material either! I'd like a gift with these tags!!!!

So today is a perfect day to plan the Christmas menu!!! Maybe you're having a special dinner, or a brunch. Or maybe you're visiting friends. Get that grocery list together & get shopping before the craziness begins over the weekend!!!!

Merry Stampin'!

THE SIXTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the 6th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

..no it's not a gift-but it looks like one!! It's a card with an adorable handmade bow made from our DSP!!!! So easy to do & such a WOW!!!! Only drawback is it won't fit in an envelope! So why not design a "box-type" envelope to put it in!!!

Again, using up my DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog for the background! It's from the Festival of Prints pack! I love the "little" size of this pack-4-1/2"x6-1/2". Minimal waste when making cards, and appropriately-sized prints for cards.  Also would make great mats for scrapbooking as all our DSP is acid & lignin-free!

Here's a closeup of the bow...

The bow is made from the Marina Mist DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  A little "blue" for Christmas!!! The bow is very simple!! Just uses strips of paper!!
I'd be happy to do a class for you & your friends demonstrating  how to make these bows! They can be large or small-full or thin!!! Your choice!!!

And of course, rounding out the card are the sentiments stamped using Tiny Tags stamp set & punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch!

Today is a perfect day to finish wrapping up those gifts!!! After all, we are only 6 days away from Christmas!!!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

FIFTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the 5th Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

..another card made from left over scraps from Holiday Mini Catalog Festival of Prints DSP!!!

This is a very fun technique!!! After the holidays I'll work on some videos for you. Maybe I'll show you this one! It's a great way to use up your scraps!!! I love the "patchwork" quilt affect!!!

The stamp set is Seasonal Sayings, also from the Holiday Mini Catalog!  Wasn't sure I liked this particular image, but for some things it's really nice! It seems to work best when it's the focus of the card. Kind of busy for a card with lots going on! Plus, it's a large stamp!

Here's a close up of the patterning...

Cool, huh? Really, not tough at all!!!

Today is a perfect day to get your final order together from the Holiday Mini Catalog!!! While lots of the Christmas product won't be used for another year, there are a lot of great items that "probably" won't be carried over to the Spring Catalog (spoiler!!! like, oh, maybe, the Core'dinations Papers, or Brushed Bronze Designer buttons, or the Tulle Ribbon, or the Googlies eyes, etc. etc. etc!!!!)  Go get that order together!!!

Remember, if you place a $150 order, you get the hostess benefits which includes a minimum of $25 in FREE product!!! Your choice!!!

See you tomorrow!!! We will be half way there!!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

FOURTH DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the Fourth Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me...

...a card made from left over scraps of DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog!!!

Ok, so I had all these strips leftover from all my Christmas classes & projects this year. Not sure why I thought to save them, but so glad I did!!

Notice which stamp set I used here?? That's right-NONE!!!! I sure could have used one to add a sentiment if I wanted, but I really liked it just as it is!!!!

I so love that Champagne Glitter Paper!!! I sure hope that gets continued over into the big catalog next year!!!! Most people think of it as kind of "fall", but I really like it for the holidays! I also think it goes beautifully with reds for Valentines Day!!!! (Hint:only a short while left to get it! The Holiday Mini Catalog retires soon!!!)

So today is the perfect day to go dig through some of your scraps & make a cute card or tag for Christmas!!! Don't use them all tho! Tomorrow I'm going to show you another card made with scraps! It looks completely different though!!!

Hope you like!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

THIRD DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS!

On the Third Day of Stampin Treats, Joni showed to me...

...some easy tags for Christmas gift giving!!!!
These little 2"x2" tags use the Ornaments Framelits & some beautiful retired DSP from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog!

Can you tell that they open up like little cards? Maybe this view shows that better!

Oh, that's also a retired embossing folder from last year's catalog! Why I ask you??? I really can't ever see a reason to retire the embossing folders!!! They are so pretty!! This one is really nice!! Not sure what they were thinking there, but it is what it is!!!

So on this 10th day before Christmas, go get some of you retired product & make some easy tags for your wrapping! Perfect way to use up some of that beautiful old DSP from catalogs previous!!!  It's also a perfect day to wrap a gift or two!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

THE SECOND DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS

On the Second Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me....

..a CAS (clean and simple!), In-Color Christmas card made with a non-traditional "Christmas" stamp!!!

I used the Daydream Medallion stamp set that we received at convention! I thought it was kinda of "wreathy"!!! lol  I wanted something very simple.

I also used sort of non-traditional Christmas colors! Ok, so Gumball Green could be considered fairly Christmasy, but not typically Primrose Petal! It's a bit "pinky" for traditional Christmas, but it works here on the ribbon!!

Here's a close up of the wreath!

I thought the Pearl Basic Jewels added a touch of elegance to the card! They kind of look like the rhinestones here, but trust me, they're pearls!! lol

I also am so enjoying the Shimmer White Paper!!! It doesn't show up in these photos, but there's a very subtle "shimmer" to it! Very pretty for Christmas cards or anything winter. I bet it would be beautiful for weddings also!!!!

Today is the perfect day to try a CAS card for Christmas! Come on, you know you have a stamp set that would work!!!

So enjoy day 2!!! See you tomorrow!!!

Merry Stampin'!

ON THE FIRST DAY OF STAMPIN' TREATS...

Well, I know technically the "12 Days of Christmas" begin on Dec. 25th, but my 12 Days of Stampin' Treats begins today!!!

For the next 12 days, I will present to you a stamped Christmas card or Christmas project!
Maybe you can use the ideas for inspiration! Maybe you just enjoy seeing the Christmas designs! Maybe it's helping you get into the Christmas spirit!!!

Whatever your fancy, just enjoy this special season of light and love.

Sooooo...here we go!!!

On the First Day of Stampin' Treats, Joni showed to me.....

...a Christmas card using the versatile stamp set Easy Events!!! This little Christmas stamp is so cute & easy! The Garden Green & Riding Hood Red go great together-altho they do appear a bit darker here than in person!!!
Hope Santa brings me that new camera for Christmas!! ;)

Here's a close up of the stamped image! Just a dab of Crystal Effects really add a ton to this image!!!

So CASE if you will! It's all good!! My Christmas gift to you!

With only 11 days left until Christmas, today is the perfect day to address & mail out all those beautiful cards you've designed!!!

Be sure to check back for the next 11 days!!! I hope you enjoy my Christmas blog gift to you!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LUCKY LIMEADE LINES!!!

Welcome to another week's blog hop!!! You're probably visiting here from Helen's blog, Blue Dahlia Designs! I love what she did with the colors this week!!!

So our challenge colors this week were Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Perfect Plum   OR   Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight. I so love the second color choice, and definitely plan to make something with those colors!!! But AFTER Christmas!!!

I'm finally totally in the throws of Christmas! Got the card done-if only I could get the shopping done!!! lol
So anyway, I decided to try a non-traditional Christmas card with these colors!

So here it is!!!

I have a new favorite cardstock-the Shimmery White!! Wow is that a pretty cardstock!!! I love the "shimmer" in it! I used it for the background of this card! I only wish it came more pieces in a pack like the Whisper White!!!

So anyway, I "stamped" the 3 blocks for the background using our clear blocks! You just ink the heck out of them & stamp away!!

I tried to "glitter" up the larger ornament. It actually is quite sparkly in person! You can kinda see it here!!!

What embossing powder is that you ask??? Well, it's an "embossing powder cocktail"!!! I mixed the Pewter Emboss powder with the Irradescant Ice Emboss Powder! You get both sparkle & shine!!!!

It's a different card, but I like the way it turned out! I wouldn't mind getting that card for Christmas!!!

So now go hop over to Liz's blog Lizzy Stamps & see what fun stuff she came up with!!! She has "spring fever" with such a beautiful card! I know you'll love it!!!

Be sure to stop back this week-or better yet, subscribe!!! Starting on Friday the 14th, I will be posting my "12 Days of Christmas Stampin' Treats"!!! Tune in to see what each day brings! I promise there won't be any maids-a-milking or swans-a-swimming!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES AND MOJO MONDAY!!!

Hello everyone! Well, for this week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge, I decided to "double dip" & use the Mojo Monday Design Challenge for inspiration!!!

So our colors this week were Island Indigo, Baja Breeze & Rich Razzleberry OR Island Indigo, More Mustard & Lucky Limeade!!! I chose the latter. No reason! I just laid out the colors & they reminded me of the Orchard Harvest DSP from the Holiday Mini!!!

So maybe you're heading here from Helen's blog! I love the details she uses on her creations!!! So pretty!!! Be sure to leave her a little note & let her know what you love about her entry this week!!!

So here's what I came up with!!! What dya think?

No Christmas this week!!! The sketch had hearts!!!
I could've used the other colors & created a "hearty" Christmas card, but just figured I needed a break from all the Christmas frenzy!!! lol

This has a bit of the "fall" feel!!! But it's not a fall card! Like the contrast with the hearts!!!

I really like these colors together! I added the Cajun Craze not only to match the paper, but also to make the card "pop"! It was kind of plain with just the 3 colors!!!

I also had the advice of Sheila & Dawn who were over to "play" the other night!! They helped with their positive comments!!!

Very little stampin' on this card! Only the sentiment!!! I used the versatile Word Play stamp set for this one.

So here's the Mojo Monday sketch this week!!!  This was my inspiration for the card design!!!

It's a great way to get design ideas when you're "stuck"!!! I was a little stuck this week with these colors-because I keep thinking Christmas!!! This really helped to give me a kick-start!!!!

So hopefully now you're heading on over to Sandy's blog to see what she came up with!!! I'm on my way over there now!!! Be sure to let her know how much you love her work!!! I plan to!!! She's amazing!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

FANCY FOLD!

Well, if you're following along in this blog, you'll know that I participated in a little swap with my "Team Cam-Am" friends from British Columbia!!! Our "theme" was to do a new technique.  I did the kaleidoscope technique (see Monday's post!)

Well this card is a "fancy fold" technique from my friend Diane Ison
I LOVE this card!!! Check it out!!!

Now this is pretty enough as is, but wait until you see what it does! Now you can just barely see the sentiment under the vellum snowflake-it definitely shows up better in person!!!

Ok, here's the inside.

Simple, right? Just wait!!!  Look what it does!!!

Yup!!! That's right!! It stands up! And what is that behind the snowflake? A little battery operated tea light!!! Look how pretty it looks!

Here's how it looks from the back so you can see the fold!!!

 Unlit!

Lit!!!

Neat, huh!? Just imagine how pretty this will look sitting out on my table at Christmas time! It's really a little piece of art!!!! Now you go try it & show me what you come up with!!

Thanx Diane!!! I LOVE it!!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Happy Wednesday!!
It's time for our weekly "Coloring Down the Lines" blog hop!!!

Maybe you've "hopped" here from Helen's blog!!! Don't ya just love what she did with these colors?? Nice!!!

This week was tricky!!! Our choice of colors was Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral & Daffodil Delight, or Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red & Basic Gray!
Now if you know me, you know the Calypso Coral & Daffodil Delight are right up my alley! But when I put the Riding Hood Red & Basic Gray with the Baja Breeze, I saw "winter"!!! So I'm saving the other combo for later in the winter when I need some "sun" in my life!!! lol

So here's what I came up with.

It's a little different than my usual style.  It's kind of "half" a card-if that makes sense!!! I didn't do anything inside yet, but I will probably stamp a sentiment under the flap & sign below so the signature shows.
Of course the reindeer has a red nose-in honor of my friend Gail who has a little thing going with Rudolph! ;)

Here's a close up of the flap!

As I look at this picture it's hard to see, but there is a stamp in the set that looks like sprigs of mistletoe stamped on the edges. The red marker for the berries shows up, but the sprig image is stamped in Baja Breeze.  It really DOES show up nicely in person! Honest!!! lol

Well, hope you like it!! Head on over to Sandy's blog & see what she came up with! I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!!!

Happy Stampin'!

KALEIDOSCOPE CHRISTMAS!!!

Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!! I enjoyed my time with my family! It seems so early this year tho!!

Anyway, I was part of a small swap with my friends from team Can-Am!!! We met at convention & have stayed friends!!!
It consists of myself & 3 talented Canadian demonstrators. They live in British Columbia!!! Just a tad distance away!

Well, we decided to do a swap using new different techniques!!!  I used my newly discovered technique (thank you Donna!)-the kaleidoscope method!!!

Here's my card!

I really love how this card came out! I had to keep it fairly simple to mail to Canada!!! This is a tedious but fun technique, and I think it packs quite a punch!

Here's a close up of 2 of the ornaments!

Hope you like it!!! Later this week I'll show you some of the other cards! I really enjoy doing these swaps! I get so excited to get the mail!!! lol

If you'd like to be part of a swap, let me know!! It's a fun time!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

Hello all! I've been slightly absent for a bit! I had a show last weekend so it's been a busy couple of weeks preparing!!! Now I just have to get through Thanksgiving!!!

So this week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge was to use More Mustard, Perfect Plum & Riding Hood Red or Perfect Plum, Marina Mist & Rose Red
Well, since I used Marina Mist last time I decided to go with the former!!!

Now you're maybe "hopping" here from Helen's blog! (If you're not, go visit!!!) Don't you just love her creation? I do!!!! She used some of the stuff we got at convention!!! Always so creative!!!

So here's my card!!!

The only stamp set used is Perfectly Penned! I'm kind of a tool junkie though! I used the Big Shot to emboss (chevron folder) & cut (framelits), & the Boho Blossoms punch!!! Add some bling & you're good to go!!!!

While everyone is doing Christmas cards (like I should be doing!!!) I really wanted to try a new technique I just learned from my friend Donna! Over at ButternutSage Designs, she has a great tutorial for the "kaleidoscope" method (along with tons of other great tutorials!!)!!
It's a bit tricky at first, but packs quite a wow!!!
I kind of used my own version of her technique!!!

It's kind of hard to tell, but I added Dazzling Details between some of the colors. It's really much more sparkly in person!

I think one comment about this color combination is that the More Mustard is soooooo orangy next to the Riding Hood Red!! Interesting combo of colors!!!

Now head on over to Sandy's blog & check out her design! I can't wait to see it!!!

Until next time.....

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

This week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is to use Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze    OR    Marina Mist, Real Red, Old Olive.  I chose the first combo-Marina Mist, Crumb Cake & Cajun Craze! I am having so much fun being a part of this blog hop with these talented demonstrators!!!!

You're probably visiting from Helen's blog!!! Isn't she awesome?!!!! I love the way she designs!!!

Well, here's mine for this week!

I really wanted to do a winter/Christmas themed card. I love that Champagne Glitter Paper!!! I thought it made a pretty snowflake!!! Kinda different! The Crumb Cake is picked up in the seam binding!  Here's a close up of the snowflake!!!

So I hope you like it!!! Now head on over to Teri's blog & see the wonderful creation she came up with this week!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES CHALLENGE!!!

I am THRILLED to be joining an amazing group of talented demonstrators for the first time this week!!! The challenge is working with the colors on the color wheel!!! We are given 2 sets of colors each week to choose from! Fun!!!

You're probably arriving here from Helen's Blue Dahlia Design blog!!! Isn't her card beautiful?!!!!

The colors this week were Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi & Chocolate Chip

When I first saw these colors together, I immediately thought "little boy"!  So I came up with a cute "baby" card!

Here's a closeup of the sailboat! I love using Moving Forward for kids' cards!! It's this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set!!! SU is donating $3.00 from every set sold to RMHC!!!

I colored the stamp with markers in this week's colors, but they sort of faded when I embossed over them (kind of hard to tell but I clear embossed over the image!)  Never had that happen before! Was going to do it again, but decided I kinda liked the effect!!!

Itty Bitty Banners is the best little stamp set! Mix it up with the Bitty Banners Framelits & it's tons of fun!!!!!

It's a relatively simple card this time, but I think that's appropriate for little boys! I should know-I have 2!!! lol Well, they're big boys now, but some things never change!!!

So I hope you like it! You should  now be on your way to Sandy's great blog over at Ice Mountain Designs to see her amazing design!!!

I'm very excited to be part of this challenge/blog hop!!!! See you next week!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

NEW AT SU-CATALOG SKETCH INSPIRATION

Hello friends! This month on the New at SU Blog Hop we are using the sketches on page 22 of the new Annual Catalog as inspiration for our ...
