CAS? NOT SO MUCH!

So I started off the the Clean and Simple sketch 255, but I think the card ended up anything BUT clean & simple!

So here's the original sketch:

I really wanted to use my new Photopolymer stamp set Settin' Sail! I soooo can't let go of summer, and I figured since it's Labor Day weekend, this is my last hurrah to keep summer going!

So here's what I came up with!

It's a bit busy for a CAS card, however! But I did pretty much keep to the sketch.
The paper is from the Venetian Romance DSP Pack! I thought it kinda looked like water! I love the versatility of this DSP pack! Not only are the colors & designs amazing, but they're also very diverse! Just interesting to look at-like I'd want to use it to wallpaper a room!!!

To compliment the Settin' Sail stamp set, I pulled out the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set! It's supposed to look like water was splashed on there! I think it kinda does!

The colors are Real Red & Island Indigo. Nautical, right? That lighthouse is so neat! It's one of my favorite things to look at when I go to the ocean! The New England coast is full of historic lighthouses. One of my favorite is Nubble Light in York Beach, Maine. I grew up not far from Nobska Lighthouse in Falmouth, MA!

Nubble Lighthouse, York Maine, July, 2013
So when I saw this stamp set, it was a must have for me!!! I thin it would've been a little more clear if I'd used the ink pad instead of the
Stampin' Write Markers, but I wanted it to be two-toned! Works for me!

So just a summer share for today! I'm afraid you may be seeing summer stuff in December! It's just way too short for me!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

TAG-YOU'RE IT!!!!

So you may or may not know, but every year, Stampin' Up! gives tons of $ to the Ronald McDonald House Charities! It's a wonderful organization that provides housing for families of children who are receiving treatments in hospitals.
Well, one of the ways they raise the funds is through an annual stamp set. This year's stamp set is called Tag It!  Here's what the stamp set looks like!

It comes in clear mount or wood mount! $3.00 from every purchase is donated by SU!

Here's a cute card I made using Tag It!!!

I pulled out my new In-Colors & used Crisp Canteloupe
Pistachio Pudding for the base.

The beautiful paper is from the beautiful Venetian Romance DSP Pack!  This is a great pack of paper!!! Such interesting designs!

I cut out the sentiment using the Chalk Talk Framelits! They work wonderfully with this stamp set! Of course I used my totally awesome
 Magnetic Platform!!!
I used some Crystal Effects to make the balloons pop a bit-shiny!

The whole thing is finished off with the totally awesome
Baked Brown Sugar Stretch Ruffle Trim!

So if you'd like to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, buying this stamp set is a great way to do that! You can order it HERE!!!  Nice way to help out others!

HELLO THERE!!!

Here's a cute, simple little card I made using the Sketch Frenzy Friday's sketch challenge!  Here's the original sketch:

It's a fairly simple sketch-right up my alley!!! So I pulled out some stuff & created this:

So the DSP is from one of my favorite packs-Modern Medley! It's all Basic Black & Very Vanilla!!! So cool!
I used the Happy Day stamp set for the sentiment!
The button is from the Very Vintage Designer Buttons pack! I think these buttons are so pretty! Perfect for the "vintage" look!!!
Throw in some little Decorative Label & Modern Label Punches & voila!

So just a simple, pretty share for you today! Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'!!

I'M SEEING RED (AS I COLOR DOWN THE LINES!) WITH TECHNOSTAMPER!

So this week's Coloring Down the Lines blog hop is based in Real Red! Cool!

Now you're maybe visiting from Helen's blog! If so, welcome!!! Glad you hopped over! I know you love her work! I sure do!
If you're not hopping from Helen's blog, be sure to check her's & the other amazing ladies' blogs on this blog hop!!!

So this weeks's colors are
Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla

OR
Real Red, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie.

Now these colors, either group, made me think kinda masculine. Not being able to face the end of summer, I went with the first batch because they were kinda more summery than the second!

Now for a layout, I decided the Technostamper sketch this week would work well for these colors & a masculine card! Here's the original sketch.

So here's what I came up with for my card!

I used the lovely Open Sea stamp set! I love this set so much! If you follow my blog you know that I use it a bit! I'm from Cape Cod myself, so nautical is perfect for me!
The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set!
I wanted to use some DSP but didn't have anything with this color combo. I know I could've made my own, but not this week!
I think the 1/4" Real Red stitched ribbon is a nice touch-not too girly! The Houndstooth embossing folder just worked!

So please go visit Liz's blog & leave her a nice comment!
In fact, if you have time, go visit them all! We love to hear what you think!
And be sure to join us next Wednesday for another fun
Coloring Down the Lines blog hop!!!

Please note that I have added some fall classes! Click the class tab above!!! I'd love to have you join us!!!

CLEAN & SIMPLE!

Well if you follow me you know that's kinda my style! I found this great new blog, Clean & Simple! Every week they give a neat design that fits right in with my likes!!!  I decided to give it a try this week!

I thought it would be fun to use my new stamp set that I got from Prize Patrol at Convention this summer! Now I'm not a huge Halloween person, but I do need a few cards to send to fam & friends. So I thought this would work fine for this design!

Here's my card:

With the exception of the Whisper White cardstock, all materials come from the amazing Holiday Catalog!!! The stamp set is Halloween Hello! I kinda love that little bat!  The DSP is from the Witches' Brew pack! It's all quite lovely!!!!
The Rhinestone Basic Jewels make up the bling at the top! Do they look black to you? Well they are! Hmmmm. Now you're thinking, "I thought they were clear!" Well, you're right! They are! Or they were! Now they're black-I simply colored them with a black Sharpie & voila!!! Black gems! Pretty, huh??

Here's a close-up of my little bat friend! Which is ironic because we just had the 2nd bat in 2 weeks flying around in the house!!! Aaaagggghhhhh!!!!

So hope you liked my little Halloween card! You should head on over to the Clean & Simple blog & see all the great creations there!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

So this week's colors are
Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Real Red

Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight.

I kinda had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to use! So I decided on the latter. Pretty color combination! Plus, I just love my Daffodil Delight!!!!

So here's my creation this week!

Open it up & here's what ya got...

I really wanted to use my new Label Card Thinlets! Ok, these things are amazing!! You get so many "designs" with the little kit! They can be used for so many different things other than just the "swing" cards!  Look at all you get!

So for a stamp set, I used the beautiful Hostess set Simply Sketched. It's just so lovely! I think it works well with this card too!  Throw in the Flower Garden embossing folder & a couple of those oh so cute little Candy Dots & it makes a nice card!!

COLORING DOWN THE PACIFIC LINES!

Ok, first, this week I want to apologize for the quality of my pictures! My good camera is not behaving, and I had to take pics with my old camera! Ugh! I didn't realize how much difference there was until I saw these pics! Oh well! Just know they're much prettier in person!!!

So welcome back from Helen's blog! I know ya just love her "blue" creation!  I sure do! She's super talented!

This week's colors are
Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie
    OR
Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry.

I had a tough time choosing, so I did 1 card with each combo! Simple cards, but cute I think!! See?

On the first, I just had some mosaic fun!! I used Mosaic Madness stamp set & punch & the beautiful Quatrefancy Specialty DSP

I actually like these colors together. They made me think flowers, but I've done lots of flowers this summer & wanted to do something different.  I guess this is kind of a flower! But not THE kind of a flower!!! lol

So on the second one, I wanted to use a product from the new
Holiday Catalog! But so much of it is holiday stuff (makes sense tho!!!) & I just can't go there yet!!! Still waiting for summer to return! Been waiting since Aug 1!!! Come on!!!

So I used my Tag It stamp set that I got at convention! It works great with the Chalk Talk Framelits! Now my new item from the Holiday Catalog is the
Stylish Sripes Textured Embossing Folder! I love these diagonal stripes!!

And of course the Candy Dots in Daffodil Delight! I think it's fun!  I wouldn't mind getting this card!

Ok so now hop on over to Miss Liz's beauty of a blog & see what awesomeness she has to share today!!!

Until next time!!!

Happy Stampin'!

MORE SWAP FUN!

One of the swaps from convention that I participated in was a calendar scrapbook layout spread! We each had a month to do! I chose October-even though I am such a summer girl!!! I just thought this would be fun! Here's mine!!!

I like how it came out! I used the Autumn Accents Die for the leaves & the lovely Gently Falling Stamp set for the backgrounds! "Smile" comes from
Happy Day!!! Plus a bunch of other stuff! :)
I love my little pumpkin!!! Need a tutorial?? Just let me know!!

Here are some of the others! Now bear in mind, this is not my work! Only the one above is mine!!!
Enjoy!!!!

HOTEL SWAP!

So one of the organized swaps I participated in during convention is a hotel swap!! There were a whole bunch of us who stayed at Crystal Inn! It was like a giant pajama party! lol

So we decided to do a swap! The requirements were all current products, demonstrator style (several layers, at least 1 embellishment, etc.) and full card, not card front!

Here's the one I came up with!  It may look familiar to those of you who follow the Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop each week! My buddy Amanda CASE'd it for one of her designs! Thanx Amanda! I really like her take on it too!!!Head to her blog to find it!!!

I'm loving my Hexagon Punch! I still wish it fit the Hexagon embossing folder tho!!! The stamp set Six-Sided Sampler really adds to this card! Plus, the super fun Gingham wheel is great!!! It has made me revisit my wheel handle again! It was thinking I'd forgotten about it! (Don't tell it that I actually had forgotten!!! lol) I'mnot so much into the wheels, but this one I love!!

So just thought I'd share!!!  Here are a few of the ones I received! Very impressive array I must add!!

Enjoy!!!

OLD OLIVE COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

So have ya missed me?? I just got back from vacation in York Beach, Maine! Beautiful beach days!!! I wouldn't have come back if I didn't have to!!! lol I soooo love the beach! I had planned to get some posts done while I was here but the wifi at the hotel was down! Oh well! Forced me to relax & enjoy!

So here we are! Those hopping over from Helen's blog, glad to see you-again?!!!  Hope all is well & it was a delightful trip from Blue Dahlia! She makes it an easy ride!!

So the colors this week are
Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler
       OR
Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry

I chose the second group because the first kinda makes me think of Christmas, & I'm soooo  not ready to go there yet!! lol! I want to stick with the summer for as long as I can!
So the second batch of colors gave me an idea! Here it is!

It's a fairly simple card, but I think it's kinda cute!
I used Hello Lovely stamp set that I got at convention & made a sorta version of a sunflower! It's really just a few circle punches & framelits! Add the Tulips Embossing Folder & some 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta ribbon! Its sorta like a sunflower!!! lol It's just a cutie!

Here's a closeup of the flower part!!! I like the googlie eyes! That's the way I feel most days!

Now go head over to Liz's great blog & check out how she played with the colors! Gorgeous I'm sure!! I'll see ya there!

Now that I'm back in wifi land, I can get back to my postings! There's so much going on with the new Holiday Catalog finally live!!! Be sure to get your goodies!!! You don't wanna miss a thing in this one!!!
Plus, I still have all the amazing convention stuff to share!!!
So it's all coming!!!

 Happy Stampin'!!!
