ROLLIN' WITH THE PLUNGE!

This week over at The Paper Plunge we are working with our Brayers!

Here's my card:

So i'll be the first to admit, since they took away our Glossy Cardstock, my Brayer has been hangin' out all by itself! I'm not a fan of how it comes out on our Whisper White Cardstock. So when I saw this challenge, I thought I might sit it out. But then I decided to try something else-our
Shimmer White Cardstock! And it worked like a charm!!!!

I've always struggled a bit with the blending, but I think it looks pretty nice on this card!  I used 3 coordinating colors-Pool Party, Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay.  I think the blend is nice & the colors work together.

The stamp set is Butterfly Basics. You'll be seeing a lot of that one! I LOVE it!!! And I've barely used the butterfly! lol I love all the "earthy", rustic designs in this stamp set.

The flowers are colored in with my Wisteria Wonder & Wild Wasabi Blendabilities. I also used them to color the Pearl Basic Jewels for that special pop! I love how the Blendabilities can color just about all the embellishments! Jewels, pearls, buttons, ribbons, etc., etc.,  etc.!!!!

So why not take a little time to go visit The Paper Plunge & get some ideas on what to do with your brayer!!! Our Design Team has been working hard!!! I'm glad my Brayer & I have reconnected! I missed it!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Helloooo there! We are Coloring Down the Lines again!!! Must be Wednesday! And this week we are going for a softer look! Dare I say "warm"?!  These colors make me think of summer!  Seems like that's never gonna happen as I once again look out my window to snow falling! Ugh!

Anyway, at least you can join us on our little blog hop! You probably traveled here from Helen's beautiful blog! Love that she's back online!!!! I missed her!  If you're starting here, then be sure to continue on to Liz's awesome blog!! Then keep going right around until you get back here!! Fun time for all!

I also decided to double up on challenges this week! The design of the card is courtesy of Sketch Frenzy Friday! I love their sketches over there!

So here we go!!!

Here's my card this week:

Here's the (yummy!) inspiration photo:

Here are the colors in Stampin' Up! MDS:

Here's the Sketch Frenzy Friday Sketch:

This was a fun, simple little card.  Most of the products used are from the
Sale-a-Bration Catalog!  Namely, the Best Year Ever-stamp set, DSP, and Accessories Pack! I love my goodies from the SAB Catalog! I want to be sure to use it as much as possible before the catalog disappears!

A little Crisp Cantaloupe Bakers Twine, Sahara Sand Lace Trim, and some Pearl Basic Jewels colored with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities & you have a cute little card!!! It "made my day"!!!

Happy Stampin'!

SHE PLUNGES! SHE SCORES!!!!

So this week over at The Paper Plunge we are featuring scoring on our cards! Now we score just about every card we make-or we should anyway-when we fold them! But this challenge is using scoring as a design feature. Sounds easy. And it is easy to do, but not so easy to design!!! This one took some thinking!!!

So here's what I came up with:

The scoring is on the diagonal.  I used some Washi Tape to draw attention to it.  It's tough to see in the picture. I tried so many shots to get it to show up nicely.

I used the So You stamp set. It's designed to go with the So You Project Kit! That's really cool! It's like this little scrapbook! Love it! The little button you can get for FREE during our Sale-A-Bration sale!!!

The weather we are having here guided the design!! It's so snowy, cold & nasty, that I really needed a little sunshine in my life!! It's a bright cheery card to cheer up my vitamin D!!!!  But look what happened when I went to photograph it, I realized it could go either way! lol  Didn't plan that!!!!

So pop over to The Paper Plunge & see what's happenin' over there! I know there are some cool designs!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

SHAPING UP!!!

My friends over at the SUO Challenge site this week is looking for "shape" cards! Anything other than a square or rectangle!!!

I decided to pull out my Floral Frames Framelit Dies and give myself a dose of spring!!!! This has been the hardest, longest, yuckiest winter that I remember! I can't wait for spring, and flip flops, and sunshine, and........!!!!

So here's my card:

The paper is from the gorgeous Painted Blooms DSP!!!!! You can find that in the amazing Occasions Catalog
The cardstock is from a Brights Coordinations Pack that Stamping' Up! sent me for free for Paper Pumpkin subscriptions!!! I believe it's still available on the Clearance Rack! But I love the texture of this cardstock. And the colors seem so bright!

The stamped image is from A Round Array!  So a very simple card! I hope you enjoy it!  Now head over to the SUO Challenges site & get some inspiration for your next project!!!! All Stampin' UP!!!

Happy Stampin!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

This week in our Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop we are looking at some very pretty colors! Wintery yet with a spring "thing"!

Welcome back to those from Helen's blog!! It's been awhile! So glad she was able to get her computer all set! I missed her!  But don't forget to go see
Miss Liz at her blog after visiting here!!! There's a whole world of good on this hop! We have almost a full house this week!!!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors in MDS:
I've been dying to try out my new stamp set Sheltering Tree! It just arrived last week! These colors seemed to work well for a "spring" tree! Maybe like cherry blossoms-sorta!!

This is a very simple card!! Now if you follow this blog, you know that I like a CAS style! I keep them simple so you can do them easily too! I love looking at all the beautiful Victorian cards with lots of ephemera & embellishments & all, but not my style! I like to make cards that you can do as a beginner, yet "bling" up once ya get comfortable with it! I think this card fits that.

The only embellishments here are the Pistachio Pudding Baker's Twine & some small Pearl Basic Jewels! I kinda mess with the banner a bit & raised it up! Not sure if you can see it in the picture, but they are there!!! lol

So please keep hopping & enjoy the hop this week!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

PLUNGING AND EMBOSSING!

This week over at The Paper Plunge we are looking at embossing! Now that can mean 2 things-dry embossing or heat embossing. Not sure which way to go, so I made a card with a little of both!

Here it is!

This is one of my favorite new stamps from the Occasions Catalog. It's called Something Lacy and it's a big background stamp! It looks so pretty either as a background, on it's own with just a sentiment, or like here as an embellishment.

Here I embossed the image on Vellum with White Embossing Powder. I then colored the back with my Stampin' Markers.

Colors used are the older 2013-2015 In-Colors. There were mixed review when these came out, but I've loved them from the beginning! I always hate it when the In-Colors go away. I miss them even tho there are beautiful new ones!

The dry embossing was done with the Spring Flower Embossing Folder, also from the Occasions Catalog. It just seemed to need a little extra something, so I added that! I think it looks good.

So head over to The Paper Plunge and see what the rest of the Design Team has embossed to show you!!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

This week we have "rosy" colors in our
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!

Hello to all who are hopping over from Carol's blog! I'm glad you're here! But whether you're hopping over or just starting here, be sure to keep going to Liz's blog & then all the way back here! There are some great designs on this little hop!
p.s. leave a comment or 2! :)

So here's my card this week:

Here's the "rosy" inspiration:

And here are the MDS colors:
I decided to go with a Valentine's Day theme since we have some lovin' comin' up later this week!!! After I got this card together, I really liked it more than I thought I would! I wasn't sure about the colors for Valentine's Day, but I think this is a really pretty card!

I love working with that diagonal! It adds such a "punch" yet is so simple! I've seen it in tutorials & videos where they measure & cut on an angle & add here & take off there! Me, I just make it 1 1/2" shorter & cut through the middle! So much easier!! lol That matte by the way, is from the
Stacked with Love DSP Stack from the Occasions Catalog

Now I will admit I had to Google what "twitterpated" means!!! lol  It's in the You Plus Me stamp set. I had kind of heard it before but never really paid attention to it! Now that I know what it means, it looks super cute on this card!!! Plus, if I give it to my husband, he won't have a clue! heehee!!!

Other items used are the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder, Heart Framelits, & Sahara Sand Lace Trim!  Oh, and don't forget the amazing
Red Glimmer Paper!!!!

So start hopping around!!!! See you next week!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

TAKING THE VALENTINE PLUNGE!

This week over at The Paper Plunge we are getting ready for Valentine's Day! I decided to do a little Valentine's "suite"!!! lol

Here's what I made:

I am having so much fun with that new Berry Basket Bigz Die! It's big enough for a nice treat-not tiny like some of them are.

It also is soooooooo easy to assemble! Takes like a minute!
I added a bit to this one for the occasion! First I used the Heart Border Punch to add the hearts on the edge!  I wanted the hearts to "pop" so for the color underneath I added a strip of Sahara Sand Lace Trim. And of course there are treats inside!!

The little 3x3 has been embossed with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder! It's such a sweet little folder-good on the positive or negative side!

The little "flower" thingy was made with the Bow Builder Punch! Now THAT'S an awesome tool!!! I wanted to try something different with this punch. Worked nicely. I punched it out of the Stacked with Love DSP Stack.  Added a bit of Red Glimmer Paper to make the heart!  Sentiment is from You Plus Me stamp set.  Kind of a neat Valentine's set in the Occasions Catalog, but many of the sentiments can be used for other occasions-wedding, anniversary, etc.

The Black Lace was a gift from Stampin' Up! to me for selling
My Paper Pumpkin subscriptions! It was part of a nice little box of goodies! Most from the Clearance Rack, but a couple of currents! YOU can get gifts like that too if you join our team!!!

So come join us over at The Paper Plunge for some awesome Valentine inspiration!!! My fellow designers have been hard at work!!! Then you can even add your own! Just in time for the big day!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS BLOG HOP LET'S SALE-A-BRATE

Hello there! It's Inspire, Create Share Blog Hop time!!!! Happy February!  This month we are focusing on Sale-a-Bration items!!! And I must say, this is THE BEST SAB catalog yet!!!! There are so many awesome item that I had a hard time trying to decide which to use! But I'm happy with my choice!!!

So here's what I came up with:

This awesome stamp set is called A Happy Thing! And is it ever!!!  The card is made with Coastal Cabana CS. The Best Year Ever DSP is the perfect coordinating paper for it! Such a pretty combination!!  Then I added some buttons & ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack! Yup! Coordinating products! Amazing!

So I used my Blendabilities to color the lemon & the leaves.  I'm still working at perfecting that technique! I just don't have that eye for the shading. I'm learning tho, and I think this came out pretty good.

I love that Spiral Border Punch. I works nicely when you need just that extra something!!!! So much fun!

So this is just some of the fun from the Sale-a-Bration catalog! And the best thing is all these items were FREE!!!! Yup! You can have them too!!! FREE!!! Contact me now to book your SAB workshop or class!!! We can get you some real goodies!!! Contact me today for your FREE catalog or check it out HERE 24/7!!!

And finally, here are the colors in MDS:

So I know it's another card with Lotus Blossom, but it's my current favorite stamp set! It's such a beautiful image! Simple yet not if ya know what I mean! I want to get as much use of it as I can since it's from the
Sale-a-Bration Catalog! Once the catty is done in March, the stamp set is gone, gone, gone!!!! I just love it so!!

The striping is the amazing Irresistibly You Specialty DSP!  So you gotta have this stuff!!! It's got the design (in this case the stripes) embossed in clear!  All you need to do us use a Stampin' Sponge or Sponge Dauber to rub the ink over it! So cool!!! You can make your own colored DSP!! Awesome!

Other materials used are Beautiful Bouquet (Occasions Catalog) for the leaves, Simply Wonderful (SAB) for the sentiment, Apothecary Accents for the sentiment cut-out, and the Pearl Basic Jewels colored with the
Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities!!!

Hope you enjoyed! So now start hopping around & check out what all my talented hop partners have for you!!! See you soon!!

Happy Stampin'!!
