COLORING DOWN THE MOJO LINES!!!

Happy Wednesday! It's time for Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop again!! Yippee!!! This week I'm doing another combined post! This week I'm also using the Mojo Monday 356 design sketch for inspiration!!!

Now you may be hopping on over from Helen's blog! If you are great!!! If you aren't I'm glad you're starting here!!! Be sure to check out all the great blogs!!! Be sure to go all the way to the bottom of this post to see where to go next!!!

So here's this weeks Design Seed inspiration:

And this week's MDS colors are:

Here's the Mojo Monday 356 sketch:

And here's my card:

Now tall & skinny. There were a couple of options for the card size. I chose 3.5"x5.5" It's a little narrower than a typical card.  I thought it worked perfectly with these colors!
There isn't too much stamping here actually!
But lots of great stuff! 2 embossing folders (Chevron & Decorative Dots)! 2 types of ribbon! 2 styles of Framelits (Starburst & Circle)! 3 punches (Artisan Label, Scallop Edge, Heart from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pak)! Thought I was gonna say 2 right?! lol Gotcha!!! Oh, and of course the stamp
set-Label Love! I actually really enjoyed making this card!!!

Here's a little close up of all the good stuff! If you follow me, you know I love depth & texture! I think this card is loaded with both without being too busy.  I also think the colors work well for this design. They kind of build on each other.

So hope you like this week's card! And now, like I promised, the next blog! Hop on over to Sandy's awesome blog! See what she did with these beautiful colors that Robbie chose! Then keep going right to Robbie's blog!!! There's always fun there with a matching envelope to boot! lol

 Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

Well here I am back fresh from Convention! I can't believe it's all over! Just like any fun thing-you wait what seems like forever & it's done in a snap!!! I'll have stuff to show when I finally unpack later this week!

But I am ready to go with this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop! Many of the talented ladies on this hop were with me at Convention!
Welcome over from Helen's blog! We had so much fun hanging together in Salt Lake City!! I hope I don't have to wait until next year to see her again!!

Here's this week's Design Seeds colors:

And the MDS colors:

And my card:

I love the Forever Florals stamp set! I got it to use with my Blendabilities, but it has such nice lines that I thought it didn't really need anything else here!
I used a few of the colors as a wash. First I wet the paper slightly. Then I used the Aqua Painter & "washed" the colors across the page!  It's a fairly simple technique but it makes a nice background.

Now go head on over to Liz's blog & see her magic! We missed her last week!!!

Just a simple card this week. I can't wait to dig into my new stuff from Convention & just play!  Soon!!!! I'll have some really fun things to show you!!!
We also got the first look at the new Holiday Catalog available to you on September 1st! We get to pre-order on Aug. 1!!! Great time to join
Stampin' Up! to get the goodies in hand first!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING MY WAY TO CONVENTION!!!!!

So as you wake up & read this Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop post, I will be on a plane to Salt Lake City for the
Stampin' Up! Convention 2014!!!!
I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!

So many of my blog hoppers here will be joining me there so this is a small group this week! Still cool stuff! I love to see you hopping here from
Carol's blog!!! And again hopping on over to Liz's blog! Make the loop! I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!

So here's this week's Design Seeds pic-Liz's choice this week:

And here's this week's Stampin' Up! color match-up:

                  Wisteria Wonder
                  Elegant Eggplant
                  Garden Green
                  Wild Wasabi
                  Coastal Cabana
                  Pool Party

And here's my card:

I used my Starburst Sayings stamp set with the matching
Starburst Framelits.  I like this set because it goes for just about any age or gender!

I thought it worked well with this weeks colors for just about any occasion. It could be a birthday, anniversary, retirement, etc., kinda card!

I love doing these little windows! This was a simple Circle Framelit with a little Framelit frame! Make sense? I'd love to show ya how!!!

I layered the Oh Happy Day sentiment! Hard to tell in the pic but it's layered & leveled with Stampin' Dimensionals!

Top it off with my new Calypso Cabana Wide Bakers Twine, & it's a cute deal!

Well this is a quick post so I can get packin'!!! Watch this week for all kinds of pics & updates from convention!!! I'll share all my swaps later! Don't wanna give them away!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!!

Happy Summer Coloring Down the Lines!!!  After a wet but successful
4th of July, the heat is on here! Just the way I like it! As you get this, I hope to be sitting on a beach with my toes in the sand!!!

So hello all you hoppers from Helen's amazing blog! How awesome is her card this week?!
When you are through here you can hop over to Sandy's fantabulous blog! She is cooking this week! It's a small group this week, but talented! Keep going!!! Be sure to leave comments!!! It's so nice to hear from you all!!!

So here's the Design Seeds pic for this week (caw caw!):

And here are our MDS colors to complement:
And here's my baby!

For some reason it doesn't look green! It does when I look at the camera & on my upload! Oh well, trust me. The background is Pistachio Pudding! That color is growing on me!

The other 2 greens make up the "stems" from Flowering Flourishes! And of course Papillon Potpourri and punches round out the rest of the colors! That's the Ticket was used for the sentiment-with the Ticket Punch of course!

This is really a cute, airy card in person! Very simple but I think it packs a gentle punch! I'm in the throws of "swap mania" as I prepare for Convention next week!!! So excited!!! But trying to get a handle on things! It'll all happen tho! Don't you worry!

So hope you like this week's entry in our little blog hop! It's a cool summer breeze blowing your way!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

CASING THE SKETCH!!

My friends over at Can You Case It? are challenging us with a sketch this week!! Here is the sketch they chose!

Week 26 Sketch

And here is the card I made!

http://canyoucaseit.com/

I decided to go back to my watercolor roots! I've been having so much fun with my Blendabilities that I just wanted to visit my old friend the Aqua Painter!

I had to remember that watercoloring isn't as "precise" as coloring with the Blendabilities! It's ok to go somewhat outside the lines!!!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets that was new to last year's catalog-Pleasant Poppies!!. It's a single stamp, but nice & large! Gives lots of nice options with the Framelits-this one being the
Apothocary Accents Framelits!

I had some fun playing with my new In-Colors with this card! And of course a little Honeycomb never hurt anyone! lol

So hop on ovet to Can You Case It? and enjoy all the other great creations that people have come up with!!! Maybe even try your own hand at it!!!

Happy Stampin'!

INSPIRE, CREATE, SHARE!!!! RED, WHITE & BLUE!!!

I am so excited to have been invited to join a new blog hop!!! The
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop happens the first Wednesday of every month!!!! There are some very talented ladies on this hop, so be sure to follow the links & check them all out!!! You get some great ideas & inspirations!!!

This month the challenge is Red, White & Blue-appropriately so!!! After all, the 4th of July celebrates the birthday of the good ole' USA!!!! So I thought a nice All-American birthday card would be appropriate!

If you knew me well, you'd know I love anything nautical! This girl grew up on Cape Cod, MA, so the ocean is home to me!

This card uses Night of Navy, Real Red, & Whisper White CS.  The DSP is from the Maritime pack. Appropriate, & I LOVE this paper!!!

The stamp sets used are The Open Sea & Something to Say
The Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine has been knotted to sort of copy the DSP behind it! It's not Real Red, but it's close enough!
Here are the up-close details!

Now get ready to hop! Click on the picture below to get to Jen's blog-the next blog in the hop!!  Then be sure to keep going all the way until you get back here! Please leave a fun comment! We love to hear from you!

SPANGLED COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Welcome to this week's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!! We are kicking off the 4th of July weekend with Red, White & Blue!!!! In a sense! lol

Thank you for hopping over from Helen's blog!!! I know you loved her design as much as I did!!! Keep going on over to Liz's blog & say hello from me! Then visit all the cool blogs on this hop! It's sure to put you in a patriotic mood!!!

So this week's Design Seeds colors are:

http://design-seeds.com/index.php/home/entry/color-ashore

Our Stampin' Up! coordinating colors are:

And here's my card:

I know it's a bit mushy, but as I was putting this together, I really had a moment.  It's great to celebrate the birthday of what I feel is the greatest place on Earth, but it's even more important to remember how it came to be! Without the courage & strength of all our military,we wouldn't be celebrating our country's birthday or possible any birthdays.  So on that note, I thank all our military men & women- living & passed, active & non-active, combat & not-for your service & love for the good ole USA!! This card is in honor of you all!

So what I did! I used 2 stamp sets here-Something to Say & Be the Star! That's becoming a fave, altho it's perfect for the season! The Star Framelits are such a nice addition to that stamp set. I wish they'd offer it as a bundle. But maybe in the future!!!

I used all the colors except the Rose Red. Altho the background looks kinda green in this picture!!! It's truly Sahara Sand!!! lol
The Chevron Embossing Folder & the 1/4" Cotton Ribbon add nicely to the design.  I just LOVE that ribbon!!! I'm officially addicted! lol  A few Framelits to cut out the shapes for the sentiment & done deal!

So I hope you like & I hope you have a safe, fun & happy 4th of July. Happy Birthday USA!

Happy Stampin'!!!!
