PLUNGING MONOCHROMATICALLY!!!

This week over at
we are creating monochromatic cards! Now that doesn't mean all the same color, but rather multiple shades of the same color. Make sense?? If you head over to the Plunge you'll understand!!! Makes a pretty card!

So here's my card:

I chose green tones for this card! The base is Mossy Meadow. The matte is Wild Wasabi. The images are Mossy Meadow, and the small rectangles are Mint Macaron.  That Mint Macaron is a tricky one! When you look at it, it's green.  But when you hold it up against the green, it has a bluish tint! But I think it sure pulls the greens here!

I used my new stamp set From Land to Sea for the jellyfish! Kind of an interesting image! It needed more "oceany" stuff though, so I added the little fishies from Sea Street!  When I stamped the jellyfish, I embossed with some Iridescent Ice. Gives it a bit of bling & movement.

The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts-becoming one of my favorite go-to sentiment sets. Simply stamped, cut & edges shaded!

Finished it off with some of my new Mossy Meadow Striped Cotton Ribbon!!! That stuff is nice & thick! I could use it in some household decorating! Quality stuff!!!

Now head on over to The Paper Plunge and see what color schemes the other designers have come up with for you! You'll see some great designs!!!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

It's Wednesday! You know what that means!
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
day!

You maybe hopped over from Helen's blog! Next is Lizzy's blog! Be sure to visit them all! Pretty colors this week!

So here's this week's card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

So I've been revisiting my Simply Scored Board these days!  I like to use it as an embellishment of sorts on the card! Love how the lines look!  I used it to make a border this time!

I also used my brandy new embossing folder-Elegant Dots! I. Love. It!!! When I first saw it in the catalog I just jumped over it. But it is so pretty in person!!! Very versatile!

The flowers are stamped with Beautiful Bunch stamp set & punched with the coordinating Fun Flower Punch!  The border on the side is stamped with Bordering Blooms. The sentiment is from Crazy about You! Some creative use of the little Word Window Punch and the Triple Banner Punch.

Add the Candy Dots for dimension & the 7/8" Scallop Punch & voila!  Hope you like! Now go visit the rest of our designers this week!!!

Happy stampin'!

PLUNGING INTO FATHER'S DAY

This week over at
we are creating masculine cards! It's very timely as Father's Day will be this coming Sunday!  I got to use one of my new stamp sets that I've been waiting to create with!!!!

Here's my card:

Now here's the story! See, my DH is a hunter. We have 2 dogs-puppies actually-that are Llewellyn English Setters. Very pretty little things! But puppies will be puppies!  This is how they are all the time-in my stamp room! It's always playtime! Meet JoJo & Shiner!

They look so fierce here! They're such babies! lol JoJo on the left, Shiner on the right.
Anyway, I saw this stamp set, The Wilderness Awaits, and I knew I  had to have it!!! Now the dog on that set is a Pointer. We had to send our beloved Pointer Sunny to the Rainbow Bridge last year. Very difficult. So I really wanted to try to make the dog look like my setters! The setters really are just pointers with long fur anyway! lol

So I used my UniBall White pen to add the "fan" to the tail. They really do look like that when they point!  I added some of the black ticking on the fur.  It's not exactly my "kids", but it's pretty close! I actually like the way it came out. It sorta looks like a cross between my 2 fur babies!

I also got to use my highly anticipated Brick Wall Embossing Folder for the first time!!! Ok, this is my new favorite item from the new Annual Catalog!!! I can see so many fun things with this!!! Can't wait to explore it a bit further!!!

I think simple is better with masculine cards. So I think this fits the bill. The only embellishments really are the Candy Dots. I think that's appropriate for a guy.

The inside states the point of the card! Thank goodness for the
Crazy about You stamp set! It fits the bill for any occasion.
Teeny Tiny Wishes is good for that too, but Crazy about You is a bit bigger.

So now that you've seen my masculine card, head over to
The Paper Plunge and see what the rest of the Design Team has in store for you! Guaranteed not to disappoint!!! And shhhh! This is DH's
Father's Day Card!

Happy Stampin' (and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!)

COLORING DOWN THE LINES WEDNESDAY

It's Wednesday!
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
day!!  This week it's a bit "pinky"! lol

You may have traveled here from Helen's blog! Welcome! After you are through enjoying here, hop on over to Liz's blog!! Then keep going & have fun!

Here's this week's card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
This is kind of a fun floral card this week! I pulled out one of my preferred stamp sets from the old catalog-thank goodness continuing to the new
Annual Catalog-Sweetbriar Rose.  It's a perfect stamp set for watercoloring, marker coloring, or just leaving as a pretty outline!

I really enjoy now using those Work of Art swoopy things for the background now!!  I think for these blackline stamps it really works!  I just added some fussy-cut petals for dimension.

The sentiment, from Work of Art, is stamped on an altered punch out from the Tag Punch.  The big is a bit of Crystal Effects. Just because! Finish it off with the Venetian Crochet Trim & it's a pretty card1

So now keep hopping & enjoy!!!!

Happy Stamping'!

CLUB SPRINKLES!

Had a great time the other night with my Stamp Club girls! It was our first get together with the new Annual Catalog! We had a blast!!!

Here is the card we made:

I designed it to introduce them to the Sprinkles of Life stamp set! It's this year's Ronal McDonald House set. $3 from every stamp set sold goes to RMH! Plus, there's a brandy new punch-The Tree Builder Punch! It's perfect!

I used the Hardwood stamp as the background because I thought it looked like you were looking out a window!

I used my new Banner Punch for the sentiment. I LOVE that punch! I think I've used it more than any other new "toy"!  Added a bit of Gold Bakers Twine to finish it off! Fun all around!

This stamp set will be available all year in the new catalog!!! Not only can you get a cute stamp set, but you can help out a very worthy cause!

Happy Stampin'!

PLUNGING BLACK & WHITE-WITH A POP!

This week over at
we are creating using black and white with just a pop of color! Just one little pop!!!

This week I decided to use a Mojo Monday sketch as my design! I think it worked well for this challenge, although it was  a challenge on its own just to figure it out! lol

Here's my card:

It's a nautical, maybe manly card. Although there are plenty of women who are also into nautical!

Stamp sets used are The Open Sea and A Dozen Thoughts.  Add a
Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder & some black Embossing Powder & voila!

For my "pop" of color, I added some Island Indigo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon. I thought the blue tone kept it kind of "ocean-y"!

So now go hop on over to The Paper Plunge & see what the other amazing designers have for you! If you're looking for some designs,
Mojo Monday posts a new one each week! Check them out too!

So here's my card this week:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
Now I normally don't take my cue from the inspiration photo-other than the colors. But these colors just worked so well for that photo that I had to steal the idea!  I love the way the background came out here!

Of course I pulled out my trusty Brayer! Only use it every so often, but when I do, I really am glad I did! lol  I used the tree from my Sheltering Tree stamp set! It is a great set that can be used for so many different things!! Very versatile, and works for male, female or kids!

Of course there's some Iridescent Ice bling in the sky! Me-with no bling? Never happen! lol

So hope you liked this week's card. I enjoyed creating this this week! Love the inspiration!

Happy Stampin'!!!

ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2015-2017 In Colors

Well our Annual Catalog is now live!!! Very exciting!!! So this month on our ICS Blog Hop,
we are featuring our brandy new 15-17 In-Colors!!! And they are AMAZING!!!!

So glad you decided to join us tonite! Be sure to hop all the way through the blog hop! You're guaranteed to see some amazing projects-ones that you'll want to Pin for sure! But also so creative ways to use your new In-Colors!!!

Here's my card:

I tried to get all the colors in there! lol  The new ones even have fun names-Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron! They actually sound so yummy!!! lol But don't eat them!

I also tried to use some of the new accessories for the In-Colors. The ribbon this year is the very beautiful Dotted Lace Trim! So striking! The little flower is from the Blossom Accents. Cute little guys!  The DSP is actually from the Cherry on Top DSP Pack. Lots of the In-Colors in that pack! And so cool-the DSP packs this year are 6"x6"!!! Perfect for not only your cards, but for your Project Life pages too!

I'm totally loving the new You've Got This stamp set!!! You'll be sick of that one before long! lol  I find myself gravitating towards it! It is just such a pretty outline stamp. It has a nice background stamp in the set too, but I went for a clean page here. The flower on this card is colored with my
In-Color Stampin' Markers!  My current favorite technique! But don't blink! lol

So now go hop on over to Tina's blog & enjoy her creation! Just click on her name here or the picture below.  Then be sure to keep going! Oh, did I ask you to leave a comment? Please do! We love to hear from you! Tell us if you like our projects! Then we'll know we're on the right track!!!

Thank you again to our leader Robbie for keeping us in living colors!!!!

So this is a fairly simple card this week! Only 2 stamp sets-Summer Silhouettes & B.Y.O.P.  These colors to me are beautiful together, but I couldn't find an inspiration! So I just grabbed a stamp set & went to work! Fortunately, both these stamp sets can still be purchased in our brandy new ANNUAL CATALOG available NOW!!!! So exciting!!!!

Of course if you visit here frequently you know there'll more than likely be some bling! Luvs me my bling!!! Dazzling Details does it here!

I do love the pop the Tangerine Tango added to these colors! It's kind of hard to tell, but the background is Smoky Slate. Didn't photograph too "gray" here! But really-it is!!! lol

So now go visit Miss Lizzy & keep going! Then when you are done hop over to the new 2015-2016 ANNUAL CATALOG!!  So excited to be able to share it with you FINALLY!!!
