COLORING DOWN THE LINES-BLACK!!!

I'm soooo excited for this week's challenge!!! I love black!!! No, I'm not morbid!!! I just love the mystery it brings to a card!!!! So you can imagine how happy I was that this was black week!

The choices are Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze OR Basic Black, Daffodil Deligt, Old Olive!!! I chose the latter because I immediately got a "picture" in my mind!!!

So welcome on over from Helen's blog!!! She likes black too!!! Isn't she cool?

So here's my "mysterious" creation!! lol

I couldn't help the glare!!! See, the giant Sunflower stamp is embossed with Black Embossing powder!! It makes it kinda shiny!!!!

I am trying to use up my DSP Packs. The current ones are discontinued, and the new ones have fantastic new patterns!!!!!

This is  little different for me in that it's a square card! I love the way square cards look, but don't make them as often because they cost extra to mail!  Don't quite get that concept, but it is what it is! I just thought the square worked well for this design!

There's some paper punching going on as well!!! Throw in a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set & Framelits & you're good to go!!

So I hope you like this card as much as I do! It's my favorite in awhile!!! So glad this stamp set & these colors are all sticking around in the new catalog! I don't know what I'd do without Daffodil Delight-seeing that yellow is my favorite color!!!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for Day 1 of the 3-2-1 countdown to the new catalog release on Friday!!! Woohoo!!

So now go say hi to Laura for me! She is just so Lah-Dee-Dah! :) I'm gonna head on over & see what she did with this week's challenge!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

FLUTTER BY BUTTERFLY!

So as demonstrators, we get a magazine every 2 months with some AMAZING ideas & technique trainings, etc!!! It's called Stampin' Success! I wait so anxiously each time I know it's on its way!!!

A lot of what you see actually comes from ideas from the magazine!

This card is a CASE from the last edition of Stampin' Success that we received:

This was a great way to use up some of my favorite retiring colors.  It makes just a pretty card! Simple, but effective!!! You can use just about any sentiment you'd like with it! Very versatile!!! I simply used Papillion Potpourri stamp set & the Large & Small Butterfly Punches! The sentiment is from the must-have go-to Teeny Tiny Wishes!!!

So our next Stampin' Success comes to us early in June, and I understand it includes a sneak peek to something we are all waiting for!!!! See, yet another advantage to being a demonstrator!!! Can't tell tho! You'll just have to be patient!!!

So hope you enjoy!!! It's a "just because" post today!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

WILDFLOWER MEADOW!

So finally had a chance to get to play with some of my new catalog "sneak peak" preorder stuff!!! This one is done with my current FAVORITE stamp set-Wildflower Meadow!!!
Ok, so it's a fairly simple set-only 1 large stamp (is that technically a "set"? lol) but what a beautiful stamp it is!!!

So I was feeling springy on a rainy day, & this is what happened!!!
Lots of new product here to talk about!!

First the stamp! Well as I said it's called Wildflower Meadow. I can't show you the pic of the stamp just yet! Be patient!!! lol Only 8 more days until new catalog ordering can happen!! I got the wooden one. Just wait until you see the new cases for the wood stamps!!! Amazing!!!!

The next super cool tool used here is the Wildflower Meadow embossing folder! It's a perfect match to the stamp!! Gives it a "lift" & some unbelievable texture! And best of all you can get them both at a nice discount as they come together in a bundle!!!!! There are several great bundles in the new book!! See how it looks up close!!!

The butterflies are made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits-thankfully returning to the new catalog! I cut them from the most beautiful Gingham Garden DSP! This is some of my fave in years!! So bright & vibrant!!!

You may be wondering about the ribbon. Nope. No ribbon! It is the new Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape!!! This Washi tape is super fun & easy to use!!! Wait til you get your hands on it!!! Inexpensive too!!!!

The technique I used is sort of a watercolor techique!!! Want the deets?? Just ask!! Comment below with your email & I'll be happy to share!!!

So here's something new! Just wanted to share!!! Hope you like it!!! I hope you're getting excited for the new catalog!! If you are sill waiting for yours, let me know! I have one I'd love to share with you!!! Ordering begins May 31!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

SOFT SUEDE COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hi all! This week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is Soft Suede! MMM! Love that color! Our challenge is to use Soft Suede, So Saffron, Regal Rose OR Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler.  I chose the latter!

So I hope you're back vising from Helen's blog!!! Cool stuff over there, huh?!!

So here's mine this week:

This is a birthday card I did for our aunt! She loved it btw!! lol
I used my Best of Birthdays 25th anniversary stamp set! It's fairly simple, but I like the bling! Looks like the candles are lit!!

I used up a bit of retiring product. The DSP Packs are going. They have all new ones that are really pretty, but I still have a ton of the old stuff! Oh well! It'll get used!!!

Looking at the card here tho, the red doesn't look as deep as the Cherry Cobbler, but it really is!!! lol! There's a piece of Soft Suede matting the strip across the middle, & the image is stamped in Soft Suede!

Here's a close up of the sentiment:

I simply used my Dazzling Details (boy that stuff gets a workout around here!!!! lol).  There are also some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to further bling it out!!!
Overall, a cute simple card!

So have fun heading to Sandy's blog now! That's where I'm going for inspiration!!!

Until next week!

Happy Stampin'!!

NEW IN-COLORS!!!

So I'm part of a swap for new stamp sets from the new Catalog that is available for purchases May 31!  So excited!!!

Anyway, when using my new stamp set Mosaic Madness, I decided to give the new In-Colors a try!!! They are SOOOO pretty!! Very soft yet plenty of umph! What do you think??

The colors are called Pistachio Pudding (the green), Baked Brown Sugar (the brown), Crisp Canteloupe (the peachy orange), Coastal Cabana (the kind of turquise color) and Strawberry Slush (the redish/pinkish one)!  They are not quite pastel, yet not quite brights!!! Enigma colors!! lol

But the new Mosaic Madness stamp set has a nice Mosaic Punch and
Mosaic Embossing Folder to compliment it! Lots of good fun!

So anyway, just thought I'd share the new In-Colors & a brandy new stamp set to help get you excite for the new catalog!!! Sooooo soon it'll be here!!

Happy Stampin'!!

VERY VANILLA COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello again!!! This week's Coloring Down the Lines challenge is Very Vanilla!!!  Our choices were Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Rose Red OR Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Not Quite Navy!!!  I chose the first just because!

You may be visiting back from Helen's blog! Welcome! I know her fantasmic card has you excited about hopping along!!

Here's what I came up with:

I used a retired stamp set for this one. I really like this one from Sale-A-Bration! Not naming it because you can't get it, bu any set will work for this. And just a hint, there's one in the new catalog that has a similar feel!!! ;)

I needed a "guy" card! Now I know the colors aren't traditionally "guy" colors, but this particular guy is not anything traditional!!! lol I know even the lace is a bit "eh" for a dude card, but there's a story there!!!

nyway, I kept this fairly simple with the Fancy Fan Textured Embossing Folder & the Window Frames Framelits! The Perfect Plum Satin ribbon is retiring, although I'm not really sure why! The color is sticking around! Hmm!
The embellishment is actually one of the Large Pearl Basic Jewels. It looks purple in the picture, but it isn't! Hmm again!!

So go hop on over to Sandy's blog & tell her I said hi!! I'm heading over so see you there!! I know we'll be so happy with her card!!!

Until next time...

Happy Stampin'!!

GOODBYE OLE' FRIEND!

So one challenge I love to play when I can is The LateNightStampers challenge!! This time our challenge is to use up some of our favorite retiring products! I have so many, but this one stamp set makes me sad that it's leaving!

It's the world famous Build a Blossom stamp set! I think it's so pretty!!! And it has that awesome Blossom Petals XL Punch that coordinates with it! I will keep this with my special sets!!!

I also used some retired cardstock-Lucky Limeade & Pretty in Pink.  The Dotted Scallop Ribbon is going too! I have so much of that! Well, I'll find some use for it! It's so pretty!!!

Here's a close up of the flower! That's a very old Corduroy Button from a few years ago. It may still be on the Clearance Rack!!!

Well I hope you liked my send off to an old friend!!! I know you'll see it again!!! ;)

Happy Stampin'!!!

MOJO MONDAY 292

It's been awhile since I've been able to follow thru with a Mojo Monday sketch challenge! I really like these, but life happens! Well I finally found some time to get the job done this week!!!

So here's the challenge design:

Now here's my take on it:

So the pretty DSP is from the new CATALOG which will be live in only a couple of weeks!!! I can't wait!!! It's from the Gingham Garden DSP Pack!!! Sooooo pretty!!!!

The cardstock colors used are Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Pear Pizazz!!! All colors that made it into the color refresh!!!

The stamp set is from the Round Array set in the new catalog also!
The Melon Mambo is embossed with a folder from SAB this year! Unfortunatly, this one didn't make the new catalog! :( I like this one!

Here's a close up of the details!!! Luv my Scallop Circle Punches!!!!

So I hope you like this one! I love the bright colors!

Be sure to get your orders in for any retired products you may be wanting! Time is almost up! After June 3, they will be gone for good!!

So stay tuned tomorrow for yet another challenge! I was on a roll this week!! Our LateNightStampers Challenge will be tomorrow!!! Until then.....

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN WITH SAHARA SAND

So maybe you've figured out that our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop challenges right now are working with the Neutral colors!

This week's choices are Sahara Sand, Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette OR Sahara Sand, Pacific Point, Cajun Craze.  I chose the first combo. Trying to use up my retired paper!!!

So welcome back from Helen's blog!!! I just came from there! Gotta luv her card!!! Always so fresh!!!!

So here's a card I made for the MIL's 80th birthday!

Now I know it's rather plain & simple, but ya gotta know my MIL! She has saved every card I've ever made her & has them all displayed out on her hutch! I think that's really nice! But she likes things nice & simple! Too fancy is "wasted" on her-not because she's not worth it, but because she likes it that way!! And I might add, she LOVED this one!!!

I wanted to use up some of my Bravo Burgundy cardstock! Yes, it's going the retired route!!!

This stamp is from the January Anniversary Birthday stamp set!  I use it a lot!!!!  I stamped it on some White Vellum Cardstock.  Thought it would add a little pizazz to the sentiment!
The embossing is the fated Vintage Wallpaper! Don't know why this one is going! It's soooo pretty!!! It certainly won't be one on the "sell" list!
I raised the whole panel up with Dimensionals to add some dimension to the sentiment.
Those Oval Framelits are amazing!!! Wait until you see what they are offering in the new catalog!!! Can I just say-I'm happy with the Framelit selection!!!! ;)

So I hope you've enjoyed! Now join me as we hop on over to Laura's blog to check out her amazing card!! She is so creative!!!

Until next time!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE CRUMB CAKE LINES!

So we are FINALLY back to the 3-color challenges!! While the 2-color ones were great for stretching the creativity, it's soooo much easier to work with the 3 colors!!!

So welcome over from Helen's blog once again!! I hope you're enjoying your day hopping around! I know you love her work especially!!

We are now working with the neutral colors! The challenge this week was Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red & Not Quite Navy, or Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze & Garden Green! I chose the former for the main reason that 2 of the colors are retiring! I want to use them as much as possible now before they are gone for good! Especially the Not Quite Navy! I love that color!

So here's my card. I designed it for a friend who just had open heart surgery. She is doing quite well tho. I just wanted her to know that I was thinking about her!

I also used one of our retiring Big Shot dies-the Scallop Envelope. I'm really bummed about that one!!! I totally love that die!!! I use it often! The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings embosslit!

All the DSP is from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack-also retired! Ugh!  But thank goodness that the Silver Dazzling Details is sticking around!!! Ya, love the bling!!! lol

Sassy Salutations rounds out the sentiment perfectly! Kinda fun. I'm not one to send "formal" or fancy cards! I'm kind of a fun-luvin' kinda gal!!! Note the bling! lol

So now head on over to Laura's blog! I know her creation is awesome!!! I'm heading over there now to check it out!!!

Until next week!!! Don't forget to order your retired products NOW while they last!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!!
