COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hey all! Welcome to the last
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
before Christmas!!! I can't believe it's finally here! The weather in New England sure is keeping us on our toes this season! Unseasonably warm! But I'm sure not complaining!  But here we go!!!

It's a small hop this week as everyone is getting ready for Christmas, but if you've hopped from Helen's blog I know you had fun there! And now continue to Sandy's blog & enjoy her creation!  You will love it!!!

Our colors this week are Basic Black, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Mossy Meadow!

Here's my card:

I am so going to miss this stamp set-Among the Branches.  It will be disappearing with the Holiday Catalog at the end of the month.  I've really used it a lot since the catalog came out, and I find it quite versatile! Ah well-all good things must come to an end! lol Wait until you see some of my new goodies from the Occasions Catalog! Starting next week!!! Woohoo!!!

So I decided to feature some of the "retirees" from that Holiday Catalog since it's so short lived now.  The 1/8" Real Red ribbon will greatly be missed! As will the very fun Home for Christmas Enamel Dots! The colors are great, and I'm sure I'll find use for the Very Vanilla & Real Red ones with Valentines Day coming up!

Don't know what I'd do without my Brick Wall Embossing Folder! It's really a great all -around go-to folder! Lots of fun! And add in the
Lots of Labels Framelits & you've got a winning combination!!!

Well, must run for now! Off to get the Christmas menu done! And wrap gifts. And clean the house for visitors. And.......well-you get the picture! lol

I would like to extend my wishes and prayers for all my followers that you  have a safe, blessed and happy Christmas.  Enjoy your family and friends. Take time to look at the lights. It's a magical time for me, and I look forward to this year being just as amazing. Merry Christmas to you all.

Merry Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!

Well December sure is moving along far too quickly!! With only 1 week until Christmas, I need to get my Christmas card act together! lol  So I'm continuing to use the
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
for just that purpose! So here we go with another Christmas card!!!!!! lol

Hello to the hoppers from Helen's blog! When you are finished here head on over to Sandy's blog!!!  So much fun on our little hop!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

So I thought the blue tones here made a great card for snowflakes! Blues. Winter. Etc. Etc. Etc.!!!  So this Flurry of Wishes stamp set is perfect for the snowflake world!  It's even nicer when you  have 2 different punches to punch out the snowflakes: the Snow Flurry Punch & the Flower Medallion punch! Perfect partners!

My Oval Framelits cut out the "window", which was then embossed with the Gently Falling Embossing Folder! Lots of texture going there!

And of course... lots of bling! First the Iridescent Ice Embossing of the snowflakes, the Rhinestone Jewels, and that amazing
3/8" White Glitter Ribbon. What??? It's not white you say?? Well it was! Until I colored it with my Smoky Slate marker! So there! lol!!!

So hop you enjoyed this week! Next week we will be getting ready for the "big day"!! Hope I get my cards done by then! lol

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

It's another
Coloring Down the Lines
Wednesday!!! Let's get hopping!!!!

So maybe you're here from Helen's blog! Be sure to hit Sandy's blog next! Great stuff all around on the hop this week!!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So this week I was trying to keep with the Christmas theme. Thank goodness for the Cherry Cobbler! lol The other colors are not really Christmas-altho any color can be if you do it right!!! Don't mind my Santa's Boot Christmas Tree in the background!!! lol

Here I tried to kind of make a flower. Or a bow-depending on how you see it? Which do you think it is? Leave a comment below!

I used the Bow Builder Punch with a poinsettia in mind! After punching out the bow shapes, I heat embossed with my Iridescent Ice. Love that stuff! Then arranged them to be the flower (or bow!)! I thought it look cool to make it look like it was "hanging" on a brick or stone wall.  That
Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder is one of my faves! I just am kinda earthy I guess!

The sentiment is stamped with Sassy Salutations. The bling (of course!) is Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and there's a bit of Washi tape to add some "wow" to it all!

So hope you like! Help me decide-bow or flower!!! lol  Now go hop away! Until next time!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-PERFECTLY PACKAGED!

Welcome to our Christmas/December edition of the
Inspire, Create Share Blog Hop!!!
This month we are sharing a card with a little "package" to go with!

Here is my "set" this month:

I thought this would be good for any winter gift-Christmas, birthday, anniversary, whatever! I love these snowflakes!!! Of course they are sparkly! I love my bling!!! lol

The card is stamped with Flurry of Wishes from our Holiday Catalog! The snowflakes were stamped on our Vellum and embossed with Heat & Stick Powder & Silver Glitter! Pretty, right??  I then punched them out with the coordinating Snow Flurry Punch! Easy peasy!

The background is embossed with the amazing Softly Falling Embossing Folder! I've used that so much!!! I used my Brayer on the reverse side so the white "dots" would look like snow! I thought I'd used the Black Glimmer Paper to kind of make it look like "night". I'm so sad that's retiring!!! Grrrr!

The little gift holder was made first with a simple little "box" created using the Treat Bag Punch Board! I just used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut out 2 sides & adhere them on.  Kinda tried to tie the sides in with the small label on the card!

The snowflake on the treat box was stamped with Flurry of Wishes & embossed/glittered, then punched out with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch.  The beautiful 3/8"White Glitter Ribbon was used on the card & as handles for the little treat bag!

All in all I think it makes a cute winter set! Makes me wanna get a small Christmas gift just so I can use the card & package! lol I'm sure I'll find just the right use for it!

Now keep hopping on over to Tina's blog & enjoy her amazing creation! Just click on her name or on the ICS box below!  Then keep going until you get back to where you started!!! Be sure to leave a comment!!!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!! See you in January!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Hello there! Hope everyone is recovered from Thanksgiving & on to all kinds of fun Holiday preparations!!!

This week's
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
is a hop of only 2!!! That's right! Just myself & my good friend Robbie! Hopefully next week everyone will be back to normal-whatever that is!! lol  But either way, enjoy mine & Robbie's cards! Be sure to visit her blog to see hers!!!

Here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
I actually LOVE this color scheme!!! I tend to enjoy working with sort of monochromatic colors. I think this kind of qualifies!

This is a simple card. Believe it or not it's the first Christmas card (for sending!) I've made! I did a few for blogging, but now I need to get myself in gear! lol

I'm so sad that this stamp set Jingle All the Way, will be retired at the end of the
Holiday Catalog. I really love the concept behind this set! And then to add in the
Sleigh Ride Edgelits makes all the difference!!! Very simple yet very effective!!!!!  I know this is a set that I will always keep. So pretty!

I added some Home for Christmas Enamel Dots for a bit of bling! Luckily they were in the color scheme! Then to really bling it up-as you would expect from me-I used the dots in the stamp set to make "snow" from Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. It give just a touch of bling. A must have for me! lol

So nothing fancy, just some fun to kick off the Christmas season!!! Hope you enjoy! Be sure to check back next week when the rest of the gang is sure to be back! But for now, hop over to Robbie's & enjoy her creation! Check out her matching envelopes!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

I just wanted to make a nice Thanksgiving card! Nothing too fancy! Hope you like it!!!

Background is Hardwood stamp.  Wreath is from Wondrous Wreath-using a Christmas set for non-Christmas card!

Sentiment is from Crazy About You! One of my favorite things to do with my photopolymer stamps is "bend" them to fit the shape, like I did here!

Put it all together with the Lots of Labels Framelits & it makes a nice card! Like a  welcome sign on a door!

So Happy Thanksgiving to one & all! As you're shopping this weekend don't forget our Online Extravaganza!!! Great deals a happenin' here!!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello again! Hope this week's
Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop
finds you well! I'm getting over a nasty cold! Grrrr!

You're probably here from Helen's blog, then hopping over to Lizzy's blog!!! We are a small group this week. Probably getting ready for the big turkey day next week!

Anyway, here's my card:

Here is the Inspiration Photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
This time of the year I start thinking all the upcoming holidays. So sometimes I find it hard to work with non-traditional holiday colors! Well this card isn't meant to be a holiday card, but I think it works well for someone with a birthday or event during the season! Wasn't the plan, but lo & behold! lol

So the Work of Art stamp set is the background. My trusty Lovely as a Tree is the beautiful tree in the middle.

Lots of Labels Framelits are perfect for the sentiment here! Hint: the
Cherry Cobbler strip behind is cut from those Framelits then trimmed with scissors! Works!

I added stars from the Star Confetti Border Punch using the Red Glimmer Paper for the bling! You know I love my bling! I think those make it work thru the holiday season.  I'm not sure the glimmer paper is technically Cherry Cobbler, but sure is close enough! lol

So hope you liked this week's card. I'm off to bed!!! See you next time!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello hoppers! Here's yet another
Coloring Down the Lines
with some fun colors this week!!!

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog! I know you were amazed there!!! When you are finished here be sure to keep going to Lizzy's blog! Lots of awesomeness there too! Then keep going until you get back to where you started!!! Have fun! Leave a comment!

Here's my card this week:

And our Inspiration Photo:

And our Stampin' Up! colors:

So I decided I wanted to just make a simple card for no specific event or reason. Just because!  These colors are so nice & rich.  I just decided to visit some of my "oldies" from the Annual Catalog!

I used Brushstrokes to make the fun sort of gingham background. That single stamp makes lots of fun designs! It's fun to use multiple colors to create cool things with those stripes!

Layered Letters is the greatest alphabet set ever! It's just the right size with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  The little bow is from the
Wonderful Wreath Framelits set.  I just added a bit of Bakers Twine for dimension.

So short & sweet today! Cute, simple everyday card! Happy hopping'!

Happy Stampin'!

ICS BLOG HOP-GIVING THANKS

Happy November!! This month on our
Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop
we are "giving thanks"! November is traditionally the month we remember & acknowledge how thankful we are for the blessings we have. Thanksgiving is the big finale!  Here we are kicking it off!!!

Here is my "thankful" card:

I have loved using all my fun little My Paper Pumpkin stamps on projects other than the originals! Here, I used the little leaves from the October kit. They are perfect for anything fall!!! My goal here is that they look like they are falling in front of the wall! Kinda works I guess! The pumpkin is from that stamp set too!

I love this Brick Wall Embossing Folder! It's the perfect background! Here I highlighted the "lines" or cracks in the wall to make it stand out!

The sign is embossed using the Fun Frames Embossing Folder in our lovely Kraft paper! Very rustic! A little Basic Black Cardstock & some
White Embossing Powder give it a "chalkboard" effect! It's just hanging there with a little Brad and some Gold Cording!

The sentiment is from my favorite stamp set, For All Things! It's really perfect for any occasion of gratitude!! You see it frequently if you are a follower of this blog!

So now go visit Tina's blog & see how she gave thanks with her creation!!! Just click on her name or the ICS badge below! It'll take you right there!  Then keep hopping! This is a wonderful blog hop and will give you some very creative ideas!!!

See you next month! My guess is we will be getting you ready for the Holiday season!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello! Happy Hoppin! This week is "blues" week at
Coloring Down the Lines!!!
Although I went rogue! It's a blue Christmas here!!!

Welcome to the hoppers from Helen's blog. Be sure to head on over to
Lizzy's blog after this one! Then keep going!!

Here's my creation this week!:

Here's the Inspiration Photo:

And of course the Stampin' Up! colors:

These colors definitely do not say Christmas to me, but I really wanted to make a Christmas card! lol No, not pushing the season! Just wanted to play with some of my goodies!!! I guess it's never too early to plan Christmas cards!

So it's a pretty card. Didn't exactly turn out the way I planned, but I still like it! I've been dying to use my Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack! It's so pretty!!! But it's vellum! Here I embossed with the lovely
Softly Falling Embossing Folder!  I love how the vellum looks embossed! Very distressed like! But I wanted a background under it, so I pulled out my trusty Lovely as a Tree stamp set & stamped away. Problem is it's hard to see here! I wanted it to "pop" a bit more! Not dark enough I guess! Look closely though. It's there!

The "joy" sentiment is from Your Presents! I have used this particular stamp set often!!!  I love the simplicity of the font-simple yet elegant without being too fancy!!

So hope you like my first real Christmas card of the season! Maybe more to follow! lol

Happy sTampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello! Happy fall morning! We are
Coloring Down the Lines
this week with some beautiful fall colors!!! Love this group of colors!!!

Welcome to hoppers from Helen's blog!!! Glad you are here! Don't forget to keep going to Lizzy's blog next! These colors are worth the trip!!!

Here's my card:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So this is a fairly simple card. I LOVE this stamp set, but have yet to use it this fall! I don't want it to become "overused"!  Which I know is silly because it's so pretty! So get ready to see it again! lol

The stamp set is For All Things. It can be found in the Annual Catalog! I know everyone is all about the amazing Holiday Catalog, but don't forget the beauties in the Annual Catalog! That big book is good for everything! Plus, you can get your stamp set, card stock & supplies all in the same place!!!

So you are wondering, "Where did she get that sentiment?" Well I'll tell you! It came from my October My Paper Pumpkin kit!!! Don't forget people! When you get My Paper Pumpkin, you get a beautiful original & exclusive stamp set each month!!! Once your kit is finished, you can either order more supplies to make more or use the stamp set elsewhere! I've been doing that a lot lately! There are some very nice stamps in there! Plus, you get your own little Stampin' Spots ink pads!!! I have I think every color!!!  I totally LOVE
My Paper Pumpkin!!!

Other items used are the Pearl Basic Jewels and a small strip of Crochet Trim!

Hope you like! Now get hoppin'!!!

Happy Stampin'!

PLUNGING INTO THE "FAIR"

This week over at
we are celebrating one of the great traditions of fall-the country fair! Here in New England it's a big thing! Lots of leaves, apples, scarecrows, hay bales, corn stalks, and more!

Here's my country card:

This was kind of fun to  make! It's supposed to be more of a fall scene-one you might see on the way to the fair or at the fair!

The stamp set used is Sprinkles of Life-with A Dozen Thoughts for the sentiment!  I used the stamp set as well as the coordinating Tree Builder punch to cut out the apples, basket & cloud! The fence is simply strips of card stock stamped with the Hardwood background stamp & embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder!

The cool thing here is the background paper is froms the Season of Cheer DSP pack! I love when I can use holiday type items on non-holiday spots!!!! It works perfectly for a "sky" effect!

The apples are blinged up a bit with some Crystal Effects, and the little clothespin comes from a past My Paper Pumpkin kit. The beautiful ribbon is from the Holiday Catalog!!!!

So hope this week's entry brought you to the fair!!! Now go over to
The Paper Plunge & see who else you meet at the fair!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES

Hey all! Fall is finally here in New England. Pretty, yes. Chilly, yes! Perfect time to think about
Coloring Down the Lines!
It's stampin' time!!!

You may be here from Helen's blog! When you are finished here hop on over to Lizzy's blog! Keep going & enjoy!!!!

So here's my card this week:

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:
So this is kind of a fun, simple little card!  I love these colors together, but couldn't for the life of me come up with something! Then I remembered my "cherry" stamp set! This is a fun set! Even the name is fun-Giggle Greetings!

I'm so glad I was able to use my Cherry on Top DSP! I love to use DSP on a card, but often times with these color challenges it's not possible. So this worked perfectly for this card! Adds a fun dimension!

So I know purple cherries are pushing it just a bit,  but I think they work!  For bling-and you KNOW I need bling-I used a bit of Crystal Effects & just dabbed it around the DSP a bit. I think it adds just the right amount of bling!

So hope you enjoyed! I really like this little card!

Happy Stampin'!
