It's Father's Day at the 

Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop! 

Seems early, but it gives you time & ideas for planning! So please follow our hop & find your "masculine" card ideas!!!

Here's my Father's Day card:

First, my theory with masculine cards is KISS (Keep It Simple Simple!) Guys aren't usually into blitz, bling, frills, etc. This card is a fairly simple card. I love the idea of color blocking on a guy's card. Adds a whole new level, but still kinda plain. I think the embossing adds just the right touch!

I also like this sentiment for a dad! I know it doesn't say Father's Day on the outside, but I left that for the inside!

I pulled out my retiring In-Colors (boohoo!) for this card! I will surely miss these colors! But trust me, you will LOVE the new ones!!! Soon grasshopper! Soon!!!

The stamp set is One Tag Fits All from the Occasions Catalog! Also soon to be gone! As is the In-Color Baker's Twine & Sequins.  So long old friends!

Wow it's good to be back with my 

Coloring Down the Lines 

peeps! I missed this blog hop so much! Well this week's colors are my faves-yellows!!!

Hello hoppers from Helen's blog! Sandy's blog is next! Keep going & check them all out! We are a small group this week, but we pack a punch!

This is a fairly simple card, but I love the way it looks! My DIL already CASEd it! lol Again, Clean & Simple is my style! I do make fancy cards, but I like to make cards that will work for everyday stampers & even beginner stampers! These are fairly simple & offer a good idea to try!

Only 1 stamp set was used here-Kinda Eclectic! The dots are all the colors in the challenge! Once again owning up to retired ribbon! I know it's not always good to use retired products on hop cards, but why not ribbon! You can easily change this out for a current Wild Wasabi ribbon! It's just the only one I had on hand! Still looks lovely!

Kinda hard to see, but there's some Dazzling Details on the butterfly & some of the dots. Just to give it a bit of texture. I like this card!

PLUNGING INTO MOTHER'S DAY!

So I'm back fresh from my 2 weeks in Hawaii! Trying to get my feet on the ground! Anyway, I'm glad to be back designing for

The Paper Plunge 

once again! I miss my plunge peeps!!!

This week we are featuring Mother's Day projects! Mine is a card!

I know it's kind of cliche to do flowers on Mother's Day cards, but as a mom, I like getting flowers! It works for moms!  

This one is a bit of a fancy fold! I made it a tri-fold of sorts. The front looks nice, but when you open it, it's a whole new surprise!

Here's the inside!

The stamp set used is Flower Patch! And just a hint-we got to see the new Annual Catalog today, and this stamp set will be around for another year!!!  As well as it's Flower Fair Framelits to match! Love this set! 

I also used a couple of punches! The Petite Petals, and the flower from the 

Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels.  The flower & ribbons come from the beautiful Artisan Accessory Kit in the 

Occasions Catalog. So pretty! Only around for a short while!

So those colors are really all about the flowers! So pretty! I decided to visit some old friends with my card this week! The sentiment is from Feel Goods stamp set! The flowers have some Flower Patch stamping too!  Otherwise, it's all about the Flower Fair Framelits & the Labels Collection Framelits! 

Throw in some Rhinestone Jewels & a bit of Washi & ya got a pretty card! Oh and don't forget to emboss!!!

PLUNGING INTO EASTER!

This week's The Paper Plunge Challenge Blog is celebrating Easter!!! We are featuring any Easter items-cards, decorations, etc!!!

I am loving The Berry Basket Bigz Die!!! I have used it for so many different occasions since I got it! It's just perfect for Easter! 

I used the beautiful Painted Blooms DSP. It's so easy to make! I added a few punched flowers & a sentiment & it makes a great Easter basket!!!!

Other items used are the Pansy Punch, Crazy About You stamp set, 

Petite Petals Punch, retired ribbon, Builder Bird Punch. Oh, and of course some Gold Dazzling Details!!! Gotta have bling!!!

ICS BLOG HOP-HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Welcome to the April 2015 edition of the 

Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!

Well it may be a bit early for Mother's Day celebrations, but it's not too early to begin your Mother's Day projects!!! It's April 1!! Only a month to get those supplies & create!!! You will find some great inspiration from the talented ladies on this blog hop!!!

Here is my card for Mother's Day:

These colors ended up together by accident, but I love the look! They are Blackberry Bliss & Tempting Turquoise! 

In keeping with my CAS style, I wanted something simple yet elegant.  The image is from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  The little flowers in the background are from the Summer Silhouettes, and the sentiment is from Crazy About You!

The stamp was colored with markers, & the bling is Dazzling Diamonds glitter! It adds such a pretty pop to the flowers. I was thinking hydrangeas! Hard to think flowers at all with the cold weather we are having. All my spring flowers are under 1-2 feet of snow still. Sad. I wish spring would get here.

Oh well! I did make sure the inside was pretty too. Just in case the weather is still cold in May! It may help warm up the situation!

Other items used are the Window Frames Framelits, Circle Framelits, & 1/4" Ribbon.

It's SPRING!!! April Fools! Not even close-at least not here in New England! Still yucky cold & wintery white!!! Everywhere except here on this 

Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop!!! 

Today we hit some beautiful spring colors!!!  In fact, I couldn't do just one! You'll see!

So hello hoppers from Helen's Blog!!! And everyone who is beginning the hop here!! Be sure to continue on over to Liz's Blog & then keep going!!! Get your dose of spring here!!!!

So here are my cardS:

So yes, I couldn't do just 1 card! The first made me feel springy & got me motivated to make another!    Not only is it April 1, but Easter will be Sunday! And I love tulips on my Easter table!! 

Now both cards are fairly quick, CAS cards. Easy to whip up 2 in no time! Remember, CAS is my style! I like the simplicity of the cards, plus I like to give ideas on how the busy working stamper can make cards quickly& with minimal products!

The first is simply the Painted Petals stamp set. Both the image & the sentiment. Everything is cut out with the Oval Framelits.  

The  background on the card base is simply the Spring Flowers Textured Embossing Folder.  Add a bit of Bakers Twine from my Sale-a-Bration stash & it finishes off nicely! Easy breezy!!!

The second card is still simple. I did use 3 stamp sets for this one, but you don't have to. The tulips & fatter stems were made with the Works of Art stamp set. 

The sentiment & ferns are from Butterfly Basics (soon to be available once again!), and the thinner stem from the Lotus Blossom SAB stamp set.  You could do the stems simply with markers.  The only accessories are Linen Thread, Venetian Crochet Trim, & of course the bling-Dazzling Details!  Again, easy breezy!
