Holiday Catty-soon to be ending!
I so love this little stamp set-Making Spirits Bright! I thought the idea of the champagne glasses. Of course I sure hope to be toasting a glass or 2 tonite!! :)

PLUNGING WHITE WITH A POP!!!

It's Friday & time for The Paper Plunge challenge!!! This week my fellow designers & I are using lots of white with just a pop of color! We don't do that enough I think! I love the clean & simple look!

So here's what I came up with!

I thought the Elegant Eggplant was the perfect winter/holiday blend! This works for Christmas, but it also works for a winter greeting!  All it is is the Snowflake Embossing folder, some  Rhinestones Basic Jewels, & a Framelit cut! The sentiment is from the early December hostess gift freebie!

Sweet & simple! Now hop over to The Paper Plunge & see what my friends came up with!  You can surely add your own design! Be sure to leave comments! We love to hear from you!!!

A very Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah to you all!!!

Merry Stampin'!!!

I used my forever fave Lovely as a Tree to make the branches! An old trick! The sentiment is Sassy Salutations.  Add a pretty Snowflake Charm Embellishment & some Washi Tape & it's a pretty simple, cute card!  Hope you like!!!

ICS BLOG HOP TIS THE SEASON!

Welcome to December's Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!!! This month we are celebrating the season!!! Be sure to keep traveling through the hop!!! It's sure to get you into the "spirit"!!

Here's my card this month:

It's a relatively simple card, but I wanted to get the most of this
Wondrous Wreath stamp set in before it goes away with the
Holiday Catalog in just under a month! Hard to believe!!! It seems like it just began!!!!

I love how this stamp set has it's own matching Framelits! I sure hope we see them in the Annual Catalog next year!! Such a fun set!!

I tried to make it look like a front door with a wreath on it! I sure hope the image is ok! I'm having a tough time with the lighting here! We have had no real "light" in over a week! Nasty, lousy, raw weather! Yuck! My house is lots of "mood" lighting-great for ambiance but not for photos!!! So it works but hoe you can get the idea anyway!!

So from all of us at the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop, best wishes for an amazing, happy, safe & love-filled season. Whatever you celebrate, make it special!!!

Now click on the image below to hop over to Donna's blog! Be sure to leave comments as you travel through! WE love to hear from you!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Well here we are in the frozen tundra ready for another
Coloring Down the Line Blog Hop!!
It's cold! It's raw! It's wet! It's winter! Yuck!  But hopefully this card will "light" up your day!!! Heehee!!!

Hello my visitors from Lovely Helen's blog.  I'm glad you're here! Be sure to continue on!!! Check the end of this post for the next hopper in line!!!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors presented in MDS:

I thought the inspiration pic with the candles was a good idea! So I went with it! It's time for Holiday crafting!!! But these are surely not traditional Christmas colors!!

Not much stampin' here tho! I simply used the Watercolor Trio from the Holiday Catalog!

I embossed it with Pool Party Embossing Powder! Then I just cut strips for the candles, embossed them, & added a top & flame! Easy peasy!

And of course some Dazzling Details for dimension in the flames! So a very simple but fun card!

Now head over to Miss Liz's blog & enjoy her creation!!! Let her know how much you love it!!!

Enjoy!

Happy Stampin!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Hello all! It's Coloring Down the Lines Wednesday!! So happy to be here! Although this is a tough week & a tough card for me. Explanation later.

Welcome over from Helen's blog! So glad you're here! If you haven't hopped from Helen's, be sure to keep going to Liz's blog!!! Then if you keep going, you will get to Helen's then back to mine! I guarantee you don't want to miss one card! It's a talented group of ladies! Be sure to leave a comment!!!

So here's my card:

Here's the inspiration photo:

Here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

Now this is a relatively simple card. When I saw the colors this week I immediately knew where I was going with this.
See, as I said above, this is a tough week for me. One of my very, very close friends (and best SU customers!) is preparing as we speak to enter into her final journey with God. She has only been ill for a short time, and this has come quite quickly. She is an amazingly loving, humble, and tender person. She loves God and her family above all else. One of her favorite activities was scrapbooking all her family events & making little scrapbooks for everyone. So glad she did as they now will have such happy memories of her.

She was an avid beach lover-as am I. We used to travel each summer for day trips to Hampton Beach in NH or Misquamicit Beach in RI.  Her favorite thing was the seagulls.  I used to tease her about that all the time! Being from Cape Cod, we have a love/hate relationship with seagulls! lol  But every time I went to the beach without her I would text her a pic of "Jonathan Livingston" as she called them.

So these colors & the inspiration picture made me think of the beach sky. It's simply a watercolor wash using my Aquapainters on Watercolor Paper. I just penciled in the "seagulls" with an Island Indigo Stampin' Write Marker. The sentiment says it all.

So not to bring anyone down. She is ready to go to God. She will be in a better place. And may already be there by the time this is posted. I will miss her terribly, but am so glad for the beautiful memories of my beautiful friend.

So go hug your loved ones & call a friend & say hi! Tis the season, and the perfect time to reach out & touch those you love!

I will miss you Gail. So proud to have had you as a very special friend. Until we meet again.

Happy Stampin'!

FOCUS PEOPLE! FOCUS-WITH THE PAPER PLUNGE!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Plungers!!!! I know it's a day late, but I sure hope it was awesome!!

So it's time for The Paper Plunge!!! This week, our designers have been busy working on "Focus"! That is, making your sentiment the focus of your card! Often it's just kind of floating around there & the "picture" is the focus! This time, it's all about the sentiment!!

So here's mine:

First, it's getting to that warm, fuzzy, Christmas time! So starting to think in that direction! Second, I want to make the best use of my amazing products from the Holiday Catalog before they go away! I'll miss this one! Sure hope a ton carries over to the Annual Catalog!!

I'm sure you recognize this stamp set-Seasonally Scattered! I've used it plenty!!! It's from the Holiday Catty!  This time I combined some white & some Dazzling Diamond embossing powders to make the white "sparkly"! I'm all about sparkles & bling!! lol

Tough to tell, but I used some Dazzling Details on the snowflakes! The photos don't do it justice!

The Striped Scallop Thinlets Die makes a great background! So simple too! Here I used some of the DSP from the adorable
dazTrim the Tree DSP Paper Pack! This one is loaded with fun snowflakes! Not quite visible, but the affect is there!!!

Snowflakes were cut using the Snowflake Card Thinlets Die accessories! So many goodies in that kit!!! Can't wait to share some of those cards with you!!! I was waiting until December tho! Can't even think about snow!!! Yuck! Although we are now digging out from our Thanksgiving Nor'easter!!!

And then I realized I took this pic before I finished the card!!! There is actually one more snowflake-the All is Calm Snowflake embellishment! It kind of floats around on the other snowflakes, hanging on the White Bakers Twine & attached with the Handheld Stapler!!! Not where I can upload a pic, so picture it if you will!!!! lol

So hope you enjoyed!!! Now head over to The Paper Plunge & see what other really cool sentiment focus cards my team has for you!!!! Please leave a fun comment!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

So this week I actually used the Inspiration Photo as the inspiration for the card!!!

Here's my card:

Here is the Inspiration Photo:

And here are the Stampin' Up! colors:

Sahara Sand
Crumb Cake
Old Olive
Mossy Meadow
Basic Black
Chocolate Chip

I totally love how this card came out!!! If you follow this blog, you know I am a big fan of the "rustic" look! I loved the flowers on the Inspiration Photo! So I decided to somewhat make my card look like that photo! It's my take on it, but I still love the way it turned out!!!

The stamp set used are Kinda Ecclectic & Flower PatchStarburst Sayings was used for the little sentiment.  The cut out flowers were cut using the Flower Fair Framelits!

Add in a little Dazzling Details & some of that great Old Olive thick Bakers Twine & it makes a great card! Has a "winter" feel even tho it's flowers!

So I  hope you enjoyed & are inspired to make your own card today! If you need any of the supplies seen here, you can easily find them HERE!!!

So go hop on! Enjoy what the talented ladies on this blog hop have created to share with you!

Oh, and Happy & Safe Thanksgiving to you & yours! May you remember & celebrate all your blessings with family, friends & love!

PLUNGING CLEAN & SIMPLE

So this week over at The Paper Plunge, our Design Team has been working on Clean & Simple (CAS) cards for you to check out!

Here's my card:

This is my favorite go-to stamp set for a clean & simple card! I love this little Kind Koala stamp! It's perfect for just about anyone! Man, woman, or child! His little face can brighten the day!

Now clean & simple usually means minimal stamping with minimal layers! I believe this fits the bill! It is a simple emboss on simple Whisper White cardstock (Filagree Frame from the Holiday Catalog) with a simple mat to back the clean sentiment/picture! I did use my Blendabilities to color the little guy! I use them whenever I get a chance! They pack such a punch!!!

So head over to The Paper Plunge & see what my friends have designed this week! This is a perfect one for you to CASE (Copy and Share Everything!)!  Simple cards are the best to whip up in an "emergency" situation!  Why not create your own CAS card & upload it to
The Paper Plunge! We'd love to see what you come up with!!! Be sure to visit the blogs of all our talented designers!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!!!! PUMPKIN PUMPKIN!!!

Hello there!!! It's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop day!! Now I know Halloween is over, but it's still pumpkin season!!! Today's card is very "fallish"!!

To the hoppers from Helen's blog, welcome!! If this is your first stop, then be sure to keep going!!! We have so much fun here! And it's a GREAT group of stampers!!!

So here's this week's card:

Here's the color inspiration:

And here are the Stampin' Up! MDS colors:

Now this card is a fairly simple card that I would say would work for all genders! It's tough to come up with a "guy" card! I think this would fit the bill! Although it would also work for the ladies!

I pulled out one of my "go to" stamp sets-Work of Art-for the background "swooshes".  I love what this stamp set can do for a quick background or add-on of color.

I went to the Fall Fest from the Holiday catalog of course for the pumpkins! I don't know what I'm gonna do without that set! I love it so much!! Hopefully its whimsical self will make it into the Annual Catalog next May! Be sure to grab it now tho if you want it! The Holiday Catalog only has about a month left! :( Love this one!

So of course the Fun Fall Framelits helped me cut out the leaves & pumpkins! Makes the job a snap!!!

Finished it off with a bit of Blendability coloring on the Rhinestone Jewels  its a cute card!!!

Now go visit Liz's blog & see what's amazing over there!!! Then don't forget to keep going!!! Please leave a comment! We love to hear what you like!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

PLUNGING WITH THANX!

So this week on our challenge blog The Paper Plunge we are giving thanx! Our challenge was to create a card of thanks. Here's mine!

I did a workshop recently on the babywipe method. This is one of the cards I featured. It's simple but packs quite  a lovely punch! Seasonally Scattered is the perfect stamp set for this technique!! It leaves ya thinking, "now how did she do that?" lol  I like to keep em guessing!!!

The wooden Autumn Accents adds the perfect touch to the card! You can find these in the Holiday Catalog!!!

Here's a closeup of the sentiment!

Pretty right?!

Now head on over to The Paper Plunge & see what the other members of the design team have created for you! Don't forget to create your own card of thanx & upload it to the site!!!

Hope u enjoyed!!!

Happy Stampin'!

COLORING DOWN THE CUT-OUT LINES!!!

So the chill's starting to kick in here! Brrrr! Come on summer! But it warms  my heart to know it's Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop day!!! Yippee!!

Hoppers from Helen's blog, be sure to continue on after you finish here! Right over to Liz's blog! Then keep going! So much fun! And great colors this week!

So the inspiration photo this week is:

The MDS colors are:

Here's my card:

This is a softie! lol The colors I mean! I didn't use them all this week I must confess. I focused on the Pistachio Pudding & Baked Brown Sugar. These In-Colors are on their final leg with us! I'm so sad! I love them so much!! So I decided to feature them here!

This is just a fun, simple cut-out card! I used Timeless Talk for the stamp set! It's such a fun, old-fashioned set. So pretty.  Here's a close-up of the phone!

The cool thing about cut-outs is that when you open it you still have a fun surprise! See how it looks?

Plenty of room for you to write a note or sign it or whatever. You can use a sentiment too.The circles on the front were done with the Circle & Starburst Framelits. Fun!

So now go to Miss Lizzy's place & have some fun!!  Don't forget to leave a comment!!!

Happy Stampin'!

PLUNGING INTO THE PUNCH!!

It's Friday so it's The Paper Plunge Challenge day!!!!  This week's challenge is to use some punch art! So you can make a treat or use it on a card!!! I made my design for the Design Team on a card! Just for fun!!

So here's my card:

Now I had sooooo much fun making this card!!! I just think little Tom Turkey is so cute!!!  I tried to make it look like those pine cone turkeys that you see in places like Pier One!  I used a bunch of Scallop Circle Punches.  I also added some Dazzling Diamonds to the ends of the scallops to make it pop some. Hard to see in the pic but it's definitely there. Maybe I should've gone a bit thicker. Hmm.

I loved using my Feather Framelits for the turkey's feathers! I just pulled some fallish colors & Big Shot-ed away!

His little body is made with the Owl Punch! I cut off his ears & feet-ouch!

The only stamping on the whole card is the sentiment! It comes from the
Good Greetings stamp set-the super Hostess special from October! I know it's not available now, but I see so many possibilities for that stamp set!!! Love it!!!

The background is the Woodgrain Embossing Folder with some
Early Espresso ink added. Looks like real wood! Very rustic for my little guy!!!

So hope you enjoyed!  Be sure to head over to The Paper Plunge & see what the other talented members of the Design Team came up with for you! Then feel free to design your own Punch Art project & upload away!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!!

: ICS BLOG HOP GIVING THANKS

Welcome to November's
Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop!!!
I can't believe we are already thinking about Thanksgiving! I feel as if we should be welcoming July 4th the year has gone by so quickly!

So this month we are giving thanks. Now I personally believe we should be giving thanks all the time, but November is "that" month! So an early
 Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!

Here is my card this month:

I recently held a workshop on the "baby wipe method" & came up with some very pretty fall cards!  This one is fairly simple but I think it really "pops"!

The thank you sentiment is one of my favorites-the Watercolor Thank You stamp! It's bold & simple & packs a punch!

The flowers were made using the 2-step stamping method & the
Beautiful Bunch stamp set. It works perfectly for this technique!  The outline portion was stamped with Cajun Craze. Love that color in the fall!!!

The Gold Buttons are also soooooo pretty!!! They tend to work well with the fall projects! Here I will admit to a retired color of ribbon-Pumpkin Pie, but you can still get the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in other colors.  The Pumpkin Pie was on the Clearance Rack, so act quickly if you still want it!!!

So I hope you enjoyed this month's card! Now click on the picture below & go to Pearl's blog to see what beauty she has in store for you!!! Then keep going!!! Be sure to stop & leave a comment! We love feedback!!!

So until next month, a very blessed & happy Thanksgiving to you & yours. And remember to be thankful ALL the time! :)

Happy Stampin'!!!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES!

Happy Wednesday morning!!! Today I am Coloring Down the Lines with some pretty soft colors & Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! I needed some inspiration today!!

Hi to the hoppers from Helen's blog! If you're new here then I'm soooo glad you are here! If you're a regular, glad you are back!!

Here's today's card:

Here's the inspiration:

And here's the coordinated Stampin' Up! colors:

Pistachio Pudding
Wild Wasabi
Basic Black
Crisp Cantaloupe
Pear Pizzazz

Lastly, here's the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:

I love the softness of the Pistachio Pudding & Crisp Cantaloupe together. I just love these In-Colors anyway. Lots of people will surely miss them when they retire in May!

I used the Choose Happiness stamp set. It's versatile & sweet.I simple stamped the flowers & "fussy cut" them out. It wasn't too hard!

The main "cut out" is cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Haven't visited that set in awhile! It has a pretty sentiment. I used half of it on the front & finished it on the inside.  I just simply punched it out with the
Mosaic Punch

Finish the whole card off some of the cool In-Color Sequins & it adds just that "pop" of fun!

Now hop over to Liz's blog & see what she has for you! Don't forget to keep going! Lots of cool stuff to see!!!!

Then go visit over at Sketch Frenzy Friday! Lots of great ideas there! You can even add your own!

Happy Stampin'!!!

PLUNGING WITH A TREAT!!!

Happy Halloween all!!!! It's Friday! And time for another
The Paper Plunge!!!!
This week's challenge was to create "anything but a card"!!!  A little more challenging but fun!

So I created a cute little treat holder! It's kind of hard to tell, but it's perfect for m&m's!!!

It's a cute little 5-sided tube with a cover created using the retired Fancy Flower Punch.  I wish they wouldn't retire the punches!!! Although it is still available on our amazing Clearance Rack!!!!

It's perfect for cardstock or DSP. I didn't have any current Halloween DSP left, so I used my Bordering Bloom stamp set to create the design! It's just the right size!
I added a few little images from the Holiday Home stamp set from the
Holiday Catalog. Little cuties!!
The ghost & pumpkin are of course from the very popular Fall Fest stamp set, also in the Holiday Catalog!

It's a cute little way to get a Halloween (or other!) treat! Want to know how to make it?? Let me know! I'd be happy to do a little Private Class for you & your friends!!!! Contact me now!!!

So be sure to hop over to The Paper Plunge and check out what the other members of the Design Team came up with! I know you'll get some great ideas! Then you can even add your OWN
"anything but a card"!!!

Happy Stampin!
